Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Our contracts are moving from draft to full authorization significantly faster now
* The redline function isn’t sufficiently robust. Our clients struggle with the tool during negotiation. * The search feature needs to be a bit more robust, to facilitate complex search functions. * Integration with our ERP system (and other systems) needs to be enabled. SpringCM reports that they are working on all of these items and that they are integrated into their roadmap.

Automated NDA workflows have streamlined contract drafting and approvals for my team
The best features Ironclad offers are that it is very easy to use and very easy to customize; you do not need to be a developer to customize it and to create your own workflows. When I say it is easy to customize, I mean creating the questions and creating the conditions in the template. For example, if you have different businesses and depending on the type of business, you want to customize a document such as an NDA, it is quite easy to do it by yourself inside Ironclad. Ironclad has impacted my organization positively because it is more efficient, allowing us to spend less time on easy tasks and therefore spend more time on more complex tasks. I would estimate 15 to 20% time saved on our side indicates the efficiency gains.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"We have more than 50 bots in the company, the FTE and ROI are very good, and in the future we have many projects in pipeline that we are about to implement, so definitely there is a good ROI and FTE savings for us."
"The automation of data entry is the most valuable feature for us."
"The most valuable feature is IQ Bot, as it allowed us to train it to extract important logistical information from customer PDF documents, irrespective of the format."
"I liked the Automation Anywhere University. It was easy and simple. I hoped that it wouldn't take too much of my time, and it didn't, which was good."
"In general, when you set up the cloud solution, it's very, very easy."
"Automation Anywhere includes IQ Bots. So, IQ Bots is the key part of Automation Anywhere. You can work on any type of PDF, images, invoices, or billing things in any company. You can just upload it and extract the data, then use it as you require. It is a key part of Automation Anywhere: the best part."
"The OCR is the most valuable feature, though this is a third party feature that we have integrated. It is quite easy to integrate with other solutions."
"We are using Automation Anywhere for our leave approval process. We used to have three FTEs on the day shift working on this process. Now, we only have one FTE working on the leave approval process. The bot supports everything else in the process. With this bot, we are saving the cost of two FTEs."
"Our contracts are moving through the process, from draft to full authorization, 340 percent faster than they did last year."
"The best features Ironclad offers are that it is very easy to use and very easy to customize; you do not need to be a developer to customize it and to create your own workflows."

Cons

"They have done a fairly good job on the RPA space, but more and more, the whole cognitive AI space and machine learning are where I see the industry actually going. I'm sure Automation Anywhere is also focused on that topic, but we would like to see more coming down the pipe, as early as possible."
"In order to score nine or ten, they still need to provide more flexibility and integration with other tools and options."
"When they develop the product, they don't always provide all the necessary details that a customer needs to implement the product."
"Reliability and error handling should be improved."
"We've had some technical difficulties connecting, but that's more on our environment and how we have the machines and everything set up. It's not specific to Automation Anywhere. However, it's pricier than some of the other tools."
"For order processing, I would say that it is not very much time-saving because it is also taking time to extract and process, but it is giving us freedom in that the people who are doing the repetitive task are not doing that repetitive task now, and they are doing something else, maybe validation or something more productive."
"The biggest issue was that the new license required upgraded hardware infrastructure so we were getting all new tech stuff procured which meant that we were getting updated RAMs and things like that. Getting the licenses was easier but building the infrastructure which was required to support the new version was difficult."
"Automation Anywhere could benefit from more in-person support, as they currently maintain only a virtual presence."
"The redline function isn’t sufficiently robust. Our clients struggle with the tool during negotiation. Also, the search feature needs to be a bit more robust, to facilitate complex search functions. Finally, integration with our ERP system (and other systems) needs to be enabled. SpringCM reports that they are working on all of these items."
"The redline function isn’t sufficiently robust. Our clients struggle with the tool during negotiation."
"Ironclad can be improved by integrating with artificial intelligence; it does already, but it is not really useful at the moment as it has many bugs and a lot of inaccuracy."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The price of this product is good."
"Including the AWS setup and everything per license, it costs us around $10,000 on an annual basis. I believe that is pretty reasonable considering the teams that we have."
"Yearly, our licensing costs are about $90,000 to $100,000. There will be additional licensing costs when we add more Bot Runners to our infrastructure."
"It looks like it will be right around $115,000, not counting IQ Bot, which we won't renew until later."
"The cost of this solution is a little bit high, but it is worth the price."
"The certifications are free of cost."
"Regarding the price, licensing, and maintenance, Automation Anywhere provides its customers with its best and affordable value."
"Automation Anywhere is expensive."
