User friendly with good features and offers very flexible packages for small to medium-sized companies
The job listings are the most valuable aspect of the solution. We don't do much reporting out of it, however, we do do it mainly for the source data to understand where our applicants are coming from. Applicants list the source when they apply for the job. That's really the only thing that we use for reporting - the source data. We pull that on a quarterly basis. Otherwise, it's really just the job postings and then viewing the application, screening them out, moving them throughout the hiring process with the different statuses, and then the pre-employment screening, which is done through ProScreening. The product has a very good flow. The solution is really user-friendly and is just super easy. The application takes five minutes or less than 10 minutes. The process is super smooth. The product has a good set of features. Everything you expect to need, they seem to have.

Is user-friendly in terms of administration, but candidate filtering is cumbersome
Candidate filtering is a little cumbersome. I would love to see all the design and effort Zoho put in to the administrative user experience also be applied to the manager experience side. Quite a bit of filtering has to be done to get to what you want. Also, you can't get through many candidates because Zoho Recruit has a cap on how many candidates you can view at a time. If you've got hundreds of candidates per job, you may have to scroll through 10 pages. It would be great to be able to expand the number or have the ability to customize reports for candidate applications. It would save recruiters and hiring managers so much time. It would great to have an import function to have mass reviews instead of individual candidate reviews. Being able to do very quick reviews and then be able to upload them when there are hundreds of applications would be incredibly user-friendly. We had a bit of trouble getting the API speed connection. If Zoho is able to have more open source functionality in integrating with other HR or payroll systems, it would be great. Then, we would be able pull all that information much faster instead of depending on the slightly cumbersome API connection. Also, Zoho was another system for managers to keep track of and navigate when our organization grew from 100 employees to 280 during the early part of 2022. We found that managers would often get lost and wouldn't follow-up in a timely manner. As a result, we ended up moving to Paylocity because it was a one-stop shop.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"To be honest, I enjoyed all of the features provided by ApplicantPro. But most of all, I really enjoyed using it to post applications and job descriptions and to mark the statuses of applicants. Those are the things I found most useful."
"The product has a good set of features. Everything you expect to need, they seem to have."
"The solution provides the ability to integrate with other Zoho apps, allowing us to automate the hiring process."
"The CV parsing feature is the most valuable. It can parse resumes for the database. It is easy to deploy, and it is also stable and scalable. Its support is also good."
"The customization feature is the most valuable. I can add candidates to the system without having to go into it manually. I can look at a LinkedIn or PNet profile and literally right-click on it and pass that candidate into my database almost completely. It is 100% accurate for 90% of the time. It also has good security. I can't log in without a fingerprint. To log in, I have to give a fingerprint on my smartphone."
"The most valuable feature of Zoho Recruit is I can compete with the larger vendors in the business. I am constantly changing the configuration and the solution adapts to my needs."
"The installation process isn't very complicated."
"There are two features I love in Zoho Recruit. The first one is mass customization. I can customize the blueprint how I like, add some steps I want to include, and schedule a date and time to send the emails. I can also use a lot of templates. Secondly, the best thing about Zoho is the customer service. Whenever I have an issue or want to upgrade something, I text them through Zoho, and they respond within 40 seconds."
"Good reporting feature."
"The pricing seems to be very reasonable."

Cons

"It could be easier to remove applicants in bulk."
"In terms of extra features, I would suggest a general human resources information system where I could actually enter information about those we hired, including the benefits information, and have the benefits information linked to the benefit vendor websites, like for medical, dental, and vision."
"The pricing could be a bit more reasonable."
"Zoho Recruit could benefit from increased flexibility and customization when creating and sending offer letters to new recruits."
"Its automation is currently complicated, and it could be better. The biggest problem is that their instructions, videos, and documentation are terrible. These should be improved. I would like to see an email tracking feature and an option to find email addresses and leads."
"Zoho Recruit could improve in the ease of use because you need to know how to do scripting or coding to receive some of the functionality in the back end. For example, AI and automation need scripting and coding."
"No ability to automatically update details."
"Candidate filtering is a little cumbersome. I would love to see all the design and effort Zoho put in to the administrative user experience also be applied to the manager experience side. Quite a bit of filtering has to be done to get to what you want. Also, you can't get through many candidates because Zoho Recruit has a cap on how many candidates you can view at a time. If you've got hundreds of candidates per job, you may have to scroll through 10 pages."
"There is a limit to the number of lines you can extract."
"I would like them to improve their UX and UI. The front screen or the home page is dull. The tools in the marketplace have flashy home pages and a very funky style. I think that's one area that they can improve. In the future, I would like an option to integrate Zoho by default with other tools, specifically the HR tools. I would love it if I could convert the candidates directly from Zoho. That would be a huge help. They have a paid extension, but it doesn't work well during the trial period."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We had to pay an annual fee to use ApplicantPro, and the license fee included everything we needed except for the ability to post confidential positions, which was something we had to pay extra for."
"It is in the middle price range. Everything is included in the price."
"The cost of each user depends on the size of our user base."
"Zoho Recruit is an affordable solution in comparison to BambooHR and costs relatively the same as Greenhouse implementation wise. It costs less than $100 per user. Large organizations will be able to get enterprise pricing, and Zoho is transparent with their pricing."
"In terms of cost, Zoho is by far the most reasonable for what you're getting. You get the option of monthly or yearly price. It is one cost per person for a license, and it is reasonable. My solutions are $50 per person per month."
"I think it costs about $40 per month for a recruiter account. It comes with ten free accounts. It's well worth the money we are paying."
"The more you scale the solution the more it will cost. If you want the vendor to do the implementation or migration there are extra fees."
