The biggest limitation I have run into with Amazon Lightsail is scalability ceilings. It works great up to a point, but if a client's traffic grows significantly, I eventually hit a wall where I need to migrate to EC2 or ECS. That migration is not as seamless as it should be. There is no native auto-scaling like I get in EC2 Auto Scaling groups, which is a real gap for any project expecting variable or spike traffic. I would also love to see Amazon build a smoother upgrade path from Lightsail to more advanced AWS services without requiring a full re-architecture. The documentation for Amazon Lightsail is generally solid, but some of the more advanced topics like container service, networking, or VPC peering setup could use more practical examples and step-by-step guides. Debugging issues on containers inside Lightsail is also a bit limited. The log visibility is not as rich as what I get with CloudWatch on ECS. A more integrated in-console log viewer and better error messaging when deployments fail would save a lot of back and forth troubleshooting time.
