ADONIS Reviews

In my case, ADONIS was used for modeling academic projects, specifically for learning business process modeling. I primarily focused on modeling different business processes within my university projects.

The pure modeling capabilities with drag-and-drop elements for business process diagrams are excellent. The ability to move smoothly from the process landscape to the business process model diagram is appreciated. The simulation model is user-friendly, and the analysis features offer correct insights quickly. It helps me explore and identify the best candidates for automation. ADONIS supports the project hierarchy and allows collaboration through methodological reviews and comments, enhancing decision-making.

ADONIS needs improvement in its user interface functionality. The tooltips can appear overcrowded when delving into specific tool selections. They are quite adequate for nowadays but there are some UI improvements that I would suggest to make further improvement in this direction.

I have been working with ADONIS for approximately eight months.

I have not encountered any issues with stability, so I would rate it highly.

For my needs, ADONIS is very scalable. Although it's intended for larger projects, it works great for my requirements.

I previously tried using Visio and Bizagi. Visio was limiting for organizational aspects, while Bizagi had too many visual distractions. In contrast, ADONIS's coloring allows me to focus on core elements.

The initial setup of ADONIS was somewhat manageable. I rate it an eight because while the instructions were helpful, I would have found it challenging without guidance from BOC Group.

As a part of a university subscription, my experience with pricing is not directly applicable since it is provided for free.

Signavio was considered as another option, but I didn't explore it in detail.

It is important to focus on the organization's or project's priorities. If creating a digital copy of your organization for process improvement is essential, ADONIS is ideal. It facilitates organizational structuring, business process modeling, initiative management, and risk analysis, integrating organizational needs with business process enhancements. I would rate the overall solution as a seven out of ten.

We are using Camunda for process modeling, some collaborations for process development, and for the process documentation repository, we use SharePoint.

We have used ADONIS process modeler, not just the modeler, but all of the BPM suite, from process modeling to process repository.

I do appreciate the product and am satisfied with it.

The process modeling interface of ADONIS is very comprehensive, being more complete than Camunda in terms of process documentation and process components such as risks, KPI, and other process components, making it excellent for process documentation, compliance, and repository. For more practical process automations or process improvements, Camunda is more suited to our requirements and needs right now.

The analytics engine provides insights into process performance, but it consists of separate modules or add-ons from ADONIS, which we did not purchase.

I stopped using ADONIS because it is not capable of integrating and automating business processes for the POC. I see that Camunda is more capable for our POC project to orchestrate business processes. We also plan to integrate with UiPath because currently, we are focusing on task automations, not process orchestrations. In the future, we plan to implement process orchestrations. I see that Camunda can integrate UiPath into the process, process model, and process integrations.

ADONIS needs improvement mainly in user-friendliness, setup, and installations. As an administrator at that time, I found it quite difficult to manage users because I needed to open specific software, possibly Java-based, which is not web-based and should be installed first to manage the users.

I have been using Camunda for about two years.

I did not manage to integrate it with ADONIS, there were some problems.

It was quite difficult to deploy ADONIS in my system because it is not cloud native. It is not SaaS Camunda, so we have to install the platform with some software, which is more complicated than Camunda. Hence, I decided to look for another platform since we already use Cawemo at that moment.

Everything is running well for the modeler.

Last year, I stopped using it.

Their prices are moderately competitive among all BPM platform providers compared to IBM Signavio, SAP Signavio, and Bizagi.

At that time, we did not purchase the simulations add-on, so it was only for process modeling, documentation, and repository.

I have not integrated it with other products in my system because we are just using the free version.

I am planning to purchase the Team version or Business plan for the initial proof of concept project.

I am working only with Camunda.

We already use UiPath because my company has a partnership agreement with UiPath for a few years now.

For ad hoc process simulations, I use Bizagi's standalone software, the free versions, to justify process logic, BPMN-based process, and to simulate the cost reductions from as-is to to-be process.

We used the enterprise plan of ADONIS last year for one year.

I would rate ADONIS eight out of ten based on our needs at the time.

The product is useful for designing business processes and for repositories.

We have to use a different solution to automate our business processes. The product must provide business process automation features so that we do not have to rely on other tools. ADONIS must adapt process mining, machine learning, and AI.

My organization is using the solution.

The product’s price is quite competitive. It is within our budget.

Alternatives like Microsoft and Camunda offer various solutions under one entity. When we want to automate our business process, these vendors offer different products under a single umbrella.

Right now, we're in the middle of securing a VPN solution. We are considering switching from Camunda to Appian because our process is getting more complex. The tool is quite good. Overall, I rate the tool an eight out of ten.

I design, maintain, and govern the tool to roll it out in the company. I use the solution for business process modeling. For ADOIT, the solution is used for enterprise architecture management or the maintenance of application landscapes.

Besides BPMN, it's easy to handle the solution thanks to being drag and drop.

Rearranging things to get information from the objects and the model together to get a report out of them could be done better.

I've used the solution for one year.

I rate the solution's stability a ten out of ten.

I rate the solution's scalability a nine out of ten if you use it throughout the company. The solution can be used for small, medium, and enterprise businesses.

The difficulty of the initial setup depends. The technical part of the initial setup is really easy. But when it comes to the organizational part, the ease depends on your company. However, that's not a tool issue. It's a company issue. The solution takes hours to deploy.

The product's pricing is medium, so I rate it a five out of ten. How expensive it is depends on some factors. Because we have this enterprise, it is shared via several companies, so the ADONIS is cheap. But the other ADOIT part is not cheap, so I have to combine both when considering the pricing.

I rate ADONIS a nine out of ten.

My primary use case is to deploy end-to-end processes and applications from the model and down to the execution of the process (with ADONIS Process Automation).

I am a consultant. We have a partnership with ADONIS.

I started with version 10 and now there is a version 12. I am not sure if the latest version is on the cloud, but I am also not waiting for the latest version. It's not my first concern at the moment.

It's a very complete solution and user-friendly.

There is a function to check if the model BPMN is being used correctly, but the report from the check is not always very clear.

Sometimes the translations aren't clear. My customers are not as fluent in English (I work in France) so it's better when the software is well translated. They are improving this area, but sometimes it's still confusing.

My main concern is to mix models and process automation. At the moment, I am getting used to the newest solution ADONIS Process Automation. My main expectation is for this package to be adapted for end-users which are not SW-developers.

I have been using this solution for seven months

Stability is very good.

Technical support is good. They are very responsive.

Setup was okay. They did everything for me on the cloud, and then they sent my username and password. I had a little bit of training, and it was okay.

I would rate this solution 8 out of 10. 

At the beginning, I was a bit overwhelmed by all of the possibilities of the solution. As with any other software, my advice is to just do what you want to do and if it doesn't work, it's not a problem. With this kind of software, sometimes we hesitate to do things if it's not working like we expected, but it's a software like any other, so sometimes it's just a question of training and support. 

Once you figure that out, you will love the solution. So don't hesitate to try it out and test it. The software is there to help people, so don't be afraid of all the functions.

We use ADONIS for the modeling of business processes as it has a good drawing system. 

Our department teaches students management and entrepreneurship and ADONIS has helped with this. 

The best features of the system include good analytics for business processes including the calculation of time and cost. 

It would be useful to have greater insights into optimization of business processes such as time, cost, probability, error, and other parameters for business processes. 

In future releases, it would be interesting to see the use robotic process automation and artificial intelligence. 

The solution is in English and we have added certain parts in Russian as this is easier for our students. It would be useful to have the system in Russian.

I have been using this solution for 15 years. 

We have used this solution for 15 years and have always found it to be stable. 

This solution would be more scalable for our business if we could make certain changes, including adding the Russian language. 

We have a total of 200 students using this system. 

We used GPSS (General Purpose Simulation System).

The initial set up was quite easy but it is necessary to teach personnel on how to use it for business process work.

This is a good solution for consulting firms and universities and is one of the best systems for analytics of business processes. 

I would rate it five out of ten. 

We have two primary use cases for the solution. Firstly, it's the basis for process affirmation and secondly, we use it for business process management purposes, creating documentation, doing workshops, process designs and things like that.

In Switzerland, our company has 4500 employees who can access ADONIS in read-only mode. And we have about 250 people working directly with the product. 

The support is fantastic and we have really good contact with them, it's very easy to use. It's very fast using it on the computer and there's good response time. The product is very stable. We haven't ever needed to take service breaks and we can scale it throughout our company without any problem. So it's a very good program.

One of the weak points is that you can't just export so I'd like to see an improvement in exporting features. If you're using it for the permutation within the tool, it's very good. But if you need it for creating a short documentation or a chart, it's not very good for exporting the models. On this point, they will have to be better in the future compared to Bizagi, for example.

It would be very nice if you could have a place installation so that you would not only have a centralized installation where I can access through our web, but it would be nice for me to have a local installation because I'm away a lot, but they don't do it anymore. If I don't have any WiFi connection, I can't access ADONIS.

We've been using this solution for quite a few years. Initially, we used a previous version but have been using the current version for the past two years with our new process management team. 

It's very stable.

It's very scalable.

Customer service is great. They're very good. We get all the answers we need. A good key account for our company and they support it well.

I wasn't involved in the initial setup but I believe it was very straightforward. They didn't encounter any problems installing and configuring the software. It was just a piece of cake.

I don't think this product requires a proof of concept, I think you can just go straight out and buy it. You can't do anything wrong with this tool in this field.

I would rate this product an eight out of 10.

We tested this solution for process mapping and modeling.

It seems that the process mapping and modeling features are well and thoroughly covered.

The Personalized View is good because everyone's first choice is related to seeing processes either directly related to them, or another specific person.

The Activate Report is only related to one particular thing, which makes it easier to find among many reports.

This solution would be improved if 24/7 support were available.
