My main use case for Druva Data Security Cloud is to back up Office 365 items such as email, OneDrive, and many more for all our users, addressing both accidental and intentional deletion of data from users or departed staff. The scope of our use case is organization-wide, so all users are protected from data loss in their Office 365 account.

A specific example where Druva Data Security Cloud helped my organization recover important data is when a departed user deleted data from their mailbox, and we needed several items restored. I utilized Druva Data Security Cloud to both view and restore those items. I engaged support for assistance, and their help was prompt and clear. In addition, Druva Data Security Cloud's online help articles are clearly written and easily accessed to guide my technical team through tasks on their services.

Ensuring users' data is backed up with snapshots is crucial in my main use case.

Some of the best features that Druva Data Security Cloud offers are endpoint backup, ransomware protection, cloud apps, and eDiscovery.

Out of endpoint backup, ransomware protection, cloud apps, and eDiscovery, I find the infinitely scalable feature to be the most valuable in my day-to-day work, as it does not have any maintenance windows, which is different in terms of data protection.

When it comes to features, I appreciate that Druva Data Security Cloud boasts less complexity found in solutions that are not built for the cloud while remaining secure, scalable, and always available, without requiring a maintenance window. Druva maintains the data protection solution, not the customer, and the platform is always up to date with the latest features, which makes it very scalable, as new capacity can be added to subscription on the fly without changes to the backup setting and without needing to purchase and install new appliances or software.

The impact of Druva Data Security Cloud on my organization is significant, as it ensures users' data is backed up with snapshots and is very secure on the cloud. I benefit from prompt and clear assistance from Druva support, and the ease of access into the web portal provides a view into a snapshot without having to restore it first.

Specific outcomes I have seen with Druva Data Security Cloud include peace of mind knowing our users' Office 365 data is backed up and very secure, along with improved security, additional protection against accidental deletion of mailbox items, and a means for remedial action after a malicious incident that deletes or encrypts users' data.

I believe Druva Data Security Cloud could be improved as the user interface could be a little more clear, the SSO setup was a little confusing, and the ticket creation procedure could be simpler.

I would also add that there is not enough transparency on pricing.

Previously, we were using Barracuda Backup, which we used as a supplement because Barracuda handles individual email item recovery and review well, while we also use Barracuda for email security. However, Druva Data Security Cloud is our first choice for recovery of entire mailboxes or restoring a mailbox folder from a time stamp and has offered great features on that.

Druva Data Security Cloud provided a fast rollout, intuitive end-user services, which hence reduces downtime and frees up IT resources to save on cost.

My main use case for Druva Data Security Cloud is to provide data security to protect the data for the servers, endpoints, and NAS storage. I can use this for data protection.

A specific situation where Druva Data Security Cloud helped protect my data involved a scenario with a server crash and data recovery. A mid-sized company was running critical applications on a cloud-based virtual machine. One day, a server crashed due to a ransomware attack, which encrypted files and made them inaccessible. Before that incident, the company had configured automated backup using Druva Data Security Cloud with daily snapshots of servers and databases, along with immutable backups. Backup copies are stored securely in the cloud. During the incident, ransomware encrypted the production servers, and users lost access to important files. The attack demanded payment. Recovery using Druva, instead of paying the ransomware, allowed the company to identify a clean backup and select a restore point before the attack. Druva Data Security Cloud can improve in some areas, including high cost and pricing models, as many users report that the platform is expensive, especially for large data storage. Performance issues can arise, with sometimes slower performance during large backups or data restores, and initial backups or recovery of huge data can take time. Some users report a confusing GUI, including complex setup and clunky navigation in the user interface. Limited reporting and customizations in the reporting tools are also noted, as they are not very flexible and it can be difficult to generate highly customized reports. Better analytics and insight options are needed.

I have been using Druva Data Security Cloud for the last 12 months.

My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing was good but challenging. Druva uses subscription-based pricing, where the pricing depends on the per user, per resource, and per TB. The positive aspect is that there are no upfront hardware costs, predictable billing, and scalable plans. The challenging part is that costs increase as data grows, which can become expensive for large environments. The setup cost experience is very low compared to traditional systems, with no need to buy backup servers or storage, and it allows for quick deployment, significantly reducing initial setup costs. The licensing experience is flexible but slightly complex due to multiple license models such as per user for Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, per resource for AWS and VMs, and tier-based plans such as Enterprise and Elite.

I would rate Druva Data Security Cloud around seven out of ten.

I chose a rating of seven out of ten for Druva Data Security Cloud because it is very useful for backups. It is a 100% cloud-native backup solution such as Software-as-a-Service, and there is no infrastructure required.

The reason I did not rate it higher than a seven is because it needs improvement, especially regarding cost issues and pricing, as many users report it is expensive for large backup needs.

I did not purchase Druva Data Security Cloud through the AWS Marketplace; I bought it directly from Druva.

My main use case for Druva Data Security Cloud is primarily about backup solutions, which we are using in my current organization.

We have a separate environment for taking the backup of every machine in my organization. We are taking the backup of all the entire Remi laptops on a frequent basis, based on our scheduled backups.

Regarding my main use case with Druva Data Security Cloud, I would add that it involves policy configuration, requirement assessment, deployment, backup monitoring, restore and testing, and security compliance. In real-world use, we are automatically assigning predefined backup policies to a separate group of people in our organization whose laptops start a backup on critical folders.

The best features Druva Data Security Cloud offers, in my experience, include the ability to take backups without any errors during our regular operations on our machines. This has been a great help for us to validate each and every folder from a prospective side, legal side, and security policies as well.

I would prefer to see improvements in Druva Data Security Cloud that include the use of end-to-end encryption, secure communication protocols, and strong authentication to prevent unauthorized access to our data and interception. It would also be helpful to regularly update firmware, enable access controls, and store data in secure platforms such as Druva Data Security Cloud to ensure backup compliance and protection against data loss or cyber threats.

Better features for our organization would include enhanced reporting and analytics and more customizable alerting, which would help improve monitoring, along with proactive issue resolution. Additionally, deep integrations with more third-party tools and faster large-scale restore performance would further strengthen efficiency and user experience.

Druva Data Security Cloud is very stable, providing consistent backups and reliable recovery with only the occasional minor delays during large data operations.

Druva Data Security Cloud supports on-demand scalability across endpoints, SaaS apps, and multi-cloud workloads without requiring additional hardware or capacity planning, making it ideal for growing organizations.

In my experience, issues were resolved quickly, and the support team was proactive and helpful during both the implementation and ongoing operations. I would rate the customer support a nine on a scale of one to ten.

We do not have any previous solutions we used; we are sticking with Druva Data Security Cloud only.

Pricing for Druva Data Security Cloud is flexible and consumption-based, mainly depending on storage usage, number of users or devices, and workload type, which makes cost predictable and scalable. Setup cost is minimal since it is a SaaS application with no hardware needed, and licensing typically involves subscription-based options such as per user, per resource, or TB-based models, depending on the use cases. Currently, we are using TB-based models.

We have seen clear ROI through reduced infrastructure costs of up to forty to fifty percent and significant time savings on backup management effort reduced by nearly ninety percent. For example, our team saves several hours weekly on backup operations and resolves incidents faster, with restore times improving by ninety percent or more, directly improving productivity and reducing downtime.

At this moment, we did not purchase Druva Data Security Cloud through the AWS Marketplace.

Before choosing Druva Data Security Cloud, we evaluated several other backup solutions such as Veeam Data Platform, Commvault Cloud, and Rubrik Security Cloud, which are commonly compared in the market. However, we chose Druva Data Security Cloud mainly because of its cloud-native SaaS architecture and easier deployment, along with lower operational overhead compared to these alternatives.

My advice to others looking into using Druva Data Security Cloud would be to clearly define backup requirements, RPO, RTO, and plan policies properly before implementation, as proper planning and configuration are critical for success. I also suggest leveraging Druva Data Security Cloud as a fully cloud-native solution by enabling automation, regular monitoring, and periodic restore testing to ensure reliability and business continuity.

Druva Data Security Cloud is a reliable cloud-native solution that simplifies backups, improves security, and ensures fast recovery across endpoints, SaaS, and cloud workloads. I have rated this review an eight out of ten.

We are using Druva Data Security Cloud for ourselves as well as our customers, both.

I think the biggest advantage of Druva Data Security Cloud is that it has one console for almost all the various workloads.

We use Druva's centralized management console for server backup, endpoint backups, and M365.

AI-driven analytics in Druva Data Security Cloud is really adding overall speed to the kind of work being done, but we are in a slightly early stage of that.

I would assess Druva's compliance and governance capabilities in meeting industry regulations as fantastic, and I think they are doing fantastically well.

When talking about long-term governance in Druva Data Security Cloud, the legal hold is something which they have that is fantastic, and the way we can search and federate the search is good for us.

I have utilized Druva's automated backup and recovery workflows.

It is more about the kind of overall performance Druva Data Security Cloud brings to a large number of people who are even remotely connected, and it can do fantastic fast backups with incremental data, much better than some other solutions like Veeam.

I think Druva's deduplication technology is great, but the way they charge for source storage means the storage size can suddenly become much larger, and I would have been much happier if they were to give deduplication advantages on endpoints and M365 as well, which they don't.

I think the best improvement Druva could make is better training for customers and partners, as their on-ground support from a technology point of view is much better with Veeam and Commvault than with Druva.

There is room for improvement in their response time and first-level support quality, as some changes are happening in the team in India, which might be the reason for this.

I have been working with Druva Data Security Cloud for three years.

What I mean by multiple workloads is that Druva doesn't provide support for Kubernetes or anything on-prem, so I can't keep a copy of my work on-prem, which makes things simpler and easier with Commvault and Veeam, as I can have hybrid setups. I am also not too sure about their capability on higher-end workloads like SAP.

I would rate their technical support an eight.

I can give them a rating of possibly nine on support, with my name attached, but let the support be nine.

We use Commvault, Veeam, Druva, all of them, but I am not working with Cloud Rewind by Commvault or Appranix.

I think the cloud is called Cloud Metallica if I know it well, but I am not working with Cloud Rewind by Commvault.

Acronis is similar to Cloud Rewind or formerly Appranix, also by Commvault, but I'm not certain.

I might have been using Appranix earlier, but I am not 100% sure.

I am working with Commvault Cloud and Druva, and we also use Veeam.

Druva's pricing has been a little bit on the higher side of late.

I rate Druva Data Security Cloud an eight because I think there is still scope for improvement in terms of the number of workloads on the server side.

Druva Data Security Cloud is mainly used for endpoint and server backup. If a customer needs to back up their machines, such as laptops or desktops, that is the first use case. The second use case is when a customer needs to back up a server. Since most customers are going virtual and depending on virtual machines, virtual machine backup is also becoming very popular.

Druva Data Security Cloud is a plug-and-play product. I know a couple of solutions that require you to purchase a dedicated server for the backup and then they work, for example, Veeam. Although Veeam also has a complete cloud solution, their main selling solution requires a dedicated server for the backup. Druva Data Security Cloud is a completely plug-and-play product. You do not need to have a server. You just need to install the agents and deploy it to the end-users. I would say ease of deployment is a major advantage.

They also offer a pay-as-you-go model if a customer is using the MSP, which saves a lot of cost. They offer global deduplication as well. I think this feature is very exclusive to Druva Data Security Cloud. Not many providers are offering this solution. These are the major points that make Druva Data Security Cloud a good solution compared to others.

If a customer is using legacy infrastructure, such as in-house servers or in-house data centers, that is where Druva Data Security Cloud does not perform well as a backup solution. I think it is one area where they can improve.

Legacy infrastructure is mainly used by schools, universities, and government institutions. Because they have some critical data that they cannot put on the cloud, it makes sense that this is a limitation.

In this organization, it is going to be almost a year, but I have dealt with Druva Data Security Cloud for approximately four years.

Druva Data Security Cloud responds within the given SLAs. Support-wise, there should not be any issues. I personally have not heard of any complaints from customers regarding Druva Data Security Cloud's support. That describes how good their support is.

Druva Data Security Cloud does require installation and deployment. It also requires monitoring on how much storage has been used by the customer. If the customer has exceeded the data pool, then we need to notify them that their data pool is already filled up and overage charges might be applied after that.

I think a day is what it takes for a mid-sized company.

We have our engineers who go on-site or can perform the deployment remotely, depending on the situation.

The setup cost is reasonable.

I have dealt a couple of times with Acronis, but I am not specific about the products.

Druva Data Security Cloud is what I mention, because we deal with them and we use them as well. We also have a little bit of Veeam because we are reselling Veeam.

We are slowly transitioning to the MSP model, wherein we sell Druva Data Security Cloud as our service and are basically acting as a Managed Service Partner.

We purchased through channel partners, but now since we are a Managed Service Partner and offering them as a service, we purchase directly through Druva Data Security Cloud.

I think Druva Data Security Cloud would be top-tier because it has all the major compliances: PCI DSS, GDPR, and HIPAA. I think they have all the certifications and they are pretty much compliant.

Personally, I have not heard of or used VMware. We no longer work with VMware since it was acquired by Broadcom, as our partnership was actually cancelled by Broadcom since we do not do a lot of VMware business.

From my perspective, Druva Data Security Cloud is a mature product that uses AWS backup as a backend solution and is available on AWS Cloud. This product is mature, and we do not need to hesitate about it, as it has wider acceptance in the market.

AI-driven analytics in Druva Data Security Cloud help to optimize data security by providing correct suggestions and prioritizing action. Given the amount of data security products available and the sprawl of information and tickets that get raised with various concerns that come up, AI is definitely necessary to drill down.

Druva Data Security Cloud has been purchased through AWS Marketplace.

I am overall satisfied with the license and cost for Druva Data Security Cloud, as the pricing is important and definitely makes things easier for our clients.

I am from the sales team and generally handle the top-level sale, but my team has completed the deployment for 11 locations in one day, which is fairly simple.

I would rate Druva Data Security Cloud an eight on a scale from one to ten because there are better solutions available in the market in terms of security that give a better stack. While this product is good, when discussing the overall stack of the company, I believe there are other solutions that are much more available.

We are currently using Druva to back up all the files on laptops. I work in the hospitality industry, specifically at Marriott. There are users who travel from place to place and carry laptops. For users who travel occasionally, we install Druva on their laptops so that all their files get backed up in the cloud. In some cases, laptops have been stolen from our employee cars. In those situations, we are able to restore all the files directly from their Druva repository in the cloud.

Druva enables us to back up laptops efficiently so that we can restore files if the laptops are stolen.

The most valuable feature of Druva is that it can detect changes in files or laptops and perform incremental backups. Furthermore, the backup process is quick and doesn't take much time.

I suggest improvements in the time it takes to restore data. Also, the reports we can generate have limited features. There is a limitation in the advanced reporting features, such as understanding how many files are in the backup, which users are actively using it, and how many files have been backed up properly.

We have been using Druva since 2019, which is about five years.

Over the past five years, I haven't experienced any issues or problems with Druva. I have not received any complaints from users, indicating that it has been working smoothly.

It is difficult to comment on scalability because we are only using the basic features. However, we have never faced any issue in that regard.

The customer support from Druva is commendable. Their response is usually quick, and I have contacted them only a couple of times for accessing certain features. Each time the response was prompt.

Before Druva, we used different solutions for backups. Currently, we also use Veeam for servers and Druva for laptops.

The initial setup of Druva is basic and easy. Installation takes less than two or three minutes.

The firewall system is managed by a third-party company for all our hotels.

We pay Druva for the backup application on a monthly basis. Compared to other applications that we are paying for, Druva's pricing is fair. It is not cheap or expensive.

We have used Datto and Veeam for some of our backup needs.

For personal backups of laptops and computers, I recommend Druva due to its ease of use. However, I cannot speak to its features for advanced applications.

I'd rate the solution nine out of ten.

The typical use case for Druva Data Security Cloud is for backup protection, which prevents ransomware and multiple security threats. The architecture is not complex.

The best features of this solution depend on specific customer use cases and scenarios.

The centralized management console in this solution and AI-driven analytics are good features.

The automated backup and recovery workflows are quite effective.

They could integrate an EDR tool during backup. By integrating with that tool, they could easily rectify cyberattacks, miscellaneous attacks, and ransomware. It can prevent ransomware when data is in transit, not just at rest.

They can improve their product quality for Salesforce as they don't have the capability to run that business without Technobind.

They should consider supporting additional workloads in their tenant. They need multiple tenants where they can provide protection. For example, if a customer is using ESG cloud, they should plan for backup support and other data centers such as Control-S and many more.

I have two years of experience with Druva Data Security Cloud.

The stability is quite good, but they still have to work on many aspects.
