ITSM system, for automated checks on live backup statuses. Moreover, it supports various operations like monitoring storage, such as SAN and WAN, and offers dashboards that help in managing the backup environment efficiently.
What needs improvement?
There are challenges with the data collector options in Veritas NetBackup IT Analytics. When I upgrade, the data collector tends to stop working, requiring me to open a case with Veritas. It takes them a long time, usually over a month, to resolve the issue, which is a pain point. I believe improving this aspect would enhance the user experience.

I have been using Veritas NetBackup IT Analytics for more than three years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I see some current challenges with stability, particularly with the data collector, which is a pain point for me. Each time I upgrade, the data collector stops working, forcing me to raise a case with Veritas. For stability, I would rate it seven out of ten.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
I think Veritas NetBackup IT Analytics is scalable and works well for large environments, such as mine, which has over 3,000 machines. I rate its scalability an eight out of ten.
How are customer service and support?
The technical support from Veritas is disappointing as they take a long time, often over a month or two, to resolve issues. This is especially concerning with the stability issues I've faced, leading to only a four out of ten rating for customer service.

Previously, I was using
Veritas NetBackup OpsCenter, which supported up to version 10.0.0.1. To upgrade to higher versions, I had to switch to Veritas NetBackup IT Analytics.

The initial setup of Veritas NetBackup IT Analytics was simple. I completed it without any help, using the provided documentation.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The pricing of Veritas NetBackup IT Analytics is reasonable.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Each tool, like Commvault, generally has its own reporting tools, so they are similar to Veritas NetBackup IT Analytics. Currently, I'm exploring the functionalities of these tools.
What other advice do I have?
I recommend Veritas NetBackup IT Analytics to users who rely primarily on on-premises systems. For those using both on-premises and cloud environments, AltaView might be a better option. Overall, I rate Veritas NetBackup IT Analytics an eight out of ten.
