Replication needs improvement because we currently use DataMover once daily. Unlike SQL and Oracle, which have in-built replication capabilities, we don't have similar functionality with Teradata. Additionally, when backups are performed, it locks the database, preventing user access, which is a concern. Also, we need extra servers to perform backups, unlike SQL, which has embedded backup capabilities.
