Teradata excels in performance due to massive parallel processing and effectively handles vast data volumes with extensive scalability, making it suitable for large enterprises.
Room for Improvement: Tableau Enterprise could enhance its data preparation capabilities and provide more scalable pricing options to cater to smaller enterprises. Improved ETL functionality and hybrid cloud offerings could also be beneficial. Teradata might improve with more user-friendly interfaces and better pricing models. The system also faces challenges in managing unstructured data, and enhancing cost-effectiveness could broaden market appeal.
Ease of Deployment and Customer Service: Tableau Enterprise is adaptable with deployment options across on-premises, hybrid, and public cloud environments. Its customer service is responsive, though pricing may be prohibitive for some organizations. Teradata provides reliable service but could improve deployment flexibility. Its communication in new markets could be better.
Pricing and ROI: Tableau Enterprise is considered expensive for smaller companies but offers rapid ROI due to its ease of adoption. Its pricing suits large enterprises with significant licensing costs. Teradata offers substantial value due to robust performance in handling large datasets, though it's generally aimed at large organizations. Emerging flexible pricing models may improve accessibility.
