"It's a good tool. It's pretty straightforward.""The two-factor authentication is most definitely valuable and moves us closer to being able to check off those important boxes for compliance.""The product is useful for providing user access from an in-built office server as we follow the work-from-home model.""It is easy to use.""Cloud-based service and management.""The tool has been very stable, in my experience. Also, I haven't faced any issues or problems with integration or connectivity.""Other than it provides us with remote access, so it's fairly easy to install, fairly easy to set up, and provides us the ability to get into our corporate environment.""It offers more platform support, like Apple, Android, and Microsoft."

Cons
"We have seen quite a few issues with bugginess. It is indeed pretty buggy and we have had to install some fixes.""Advanced Authentication talks about the Device ID. But how the device ID is captured, I want to know more about that.""This solution could be improved with risk-based authentication. I think that this product has everything that most customers are looking for, but modern technology has people looking for security tools with risk-based authentication, which they have a separate tool for. If they could integrate this, it would improve Symantec Advanced Authentication. They have to look at what's newly trending and how things are moving forward, and then adapt and adopt those features. Symantec's technical support should also be improved, in terms of response time.""Urgent improvement is necessary to ensure that support responses are faster and more effective, aligning with the demands of MFA implementation."

"I would like to see the solution meet the integration needs at our company...Improving the solution's integration feature would be beneficial.""It is challenging to use when installing a new version.""In the next release, I would like the ability to work offline with remote access.""The gateway server is a RADIUS server, but it lacks the functionality of returning RADIUS attributes other than those that are required for the gateway to authenticate the users.""Every time that I have a new phone or computer, it takes a little longer to deploy it.""Maybe Symantec could consider providing a step-by-step guide for first-time users.""Geofencing needs improvement.""It gets out of sync with Active Directory or whatever it might be, whatever the authentication piece is on Active Directory, and they just reset it on the backend. I never have to contact the vendor."

CA Advanced Authentication provides a secure, user-convenient and cost-effective way to protect online and mobile applications. The solution consists of two components:  CA Risk Authentication allows the enterprise to silently and transparently collect data and assess risk based on device identification, location and user behavior, among other factors, and CA Strong Authentication provides a wide variety of software-based, two-factor authentication credentials and technology to make passwords more secure.  Together they enable an intelligent, layered security approach to protect user identities and organizational data.
