Provides efficiency for small businesses, but requires costly add-ons for broader capabilities
I am currently using SAP products but not primarily selling SAP. Regarding real-time data processing capabilities, it is partially helpful for decision-making. It has built-in capability for real-time data, but it's not interactive data analytics. People need another solution such as Power BI to be integrated to get real-time data with interactive analytics. When it comes to customizing reporting in SAP Business One, it has the capability to customize reports via SAP Crystal Reports. It has a good amount of reports, but for each business, you need to understand exactly what the customer needs to customize their reports. The solution includes a mobile app to access key business information, though it is a very weak mobile app. The main benefit SAP Business One provides to users is ease of access. It's very good to present to customers, both from the interface and capabilities perspective. It's suitable for small to medium companies, making the buy-in for the solution very good. The pricing for SAP Business One is very competitive. Overall, SAP Business One is a very good solution for small to medium businesses. If your company is looking for an ERP to run end-to-end business, this is the solution. You need specific add-ons to run in specific industries, but it's approximately 70% good for most small to medium companies. My overall rating for SAP Business One is 7 out of 10.

"Its usability is the most valuable. It is very intuitive and user-friendly. In terms of functionality, it has all the basic functionalities for ERP, such as CRM, sales, and manufacturing. These are the functionalities that we typically use for all SMEs. In terms of localization, SAP Business One is the best. It has got localization across all countries, which is an advantage. No other solution has such localization."
"I previously used SAGE and a couple of other solutions, but Business One is the best."
"Automation and self-healing."
"We hired a third company to stress test the system and it was above and beyond in terms of what we expected."
"We efficiently move resources between major engineering projects."

Cons

"There are aspects of SAP Business One that could be improved, particularly when compared with other ERP systems, such as the high license cost."

"We aren't overly satisfied with the solution."
"Business One doesn't have a proper master data management function."

"SAP Business One lacks solutions for some specific use cases, particularly in HR functions and production planning, which require a lot of customization."
"Initial setup was complex at the beginning as the system was still lacking some important features, while every new release required a full reinstallation."
"Oracle engine. Google and Azure API."
"We never had an issue with stability, but when we implemented the product, there were certain places where we weren't sure that they are completely aligned with our goals, in terms of how we use the system to get there."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"SAP Business One is not cheap."
"This solution can work with a very small company, but the price may not be the right, it may not be the right fit for them. We can't help with this because we have to really understand the market, the target audience, and we have to position the product accordingly. The price is not a very big concern because if the customer is finding value or the dealer, distributor, or implementation partner can show real value in the solution, then the price will not be a question at all."
"The product's license is expensive. It could be cheaper."
"Licenses are available on a monthly or yearly basis, and it costs about $1,200 per license, per user."
"The price of the limited version is about 70,000 Pesos ($2,900 USD), and the professional version is about double at 140,000 Pesos ($5,800 USD)."
"The product is moderately priced."
"I rate the price of SAP Business One a seven out of ten."
"We have an annual cost for licensing and storage in AWS."
