Automation has transformed patch workflows and now remediates thousands of servers efficiently
I would give this a four rating out of five. There should be some more improvements, but from what I see in the dashboards on our team and since it is available in our company itself, things are going well right now. We are dealing with a lot of servers, and it is going well since we have onboarded. The servers are going very fast, and if it fails, we check it immediately. It does not take that much time. The solution guide on the dashboard should show the solution very clearly. There should be some differences when comparing to other companies, but in our company's dashboard, if we have any findings on any server, it will pop up in an immediate section as a very important state. It will be halted and point us to start remediating it. Since we do not have that solution criteria, we end up calling multiple teams and asking them what version needs to be deployed. We do that every time. If they provided such a solution guide, it would be very helpful for us. The first thing is the solution guide, and it has to be very clear. For this package, it needs to show what the correct version that needs to be deployed is. It has to pop up correctly. I feel that whatever the availability is, it has to be an advanced one. That should be very helpful for each individual to help and progress on the security things.

Monitoring tool, user-friendly and interactive but experienced an issue with integration
The most valuable thing is that we can integrate any other solutions with SuperOps. Like, SuperOps is a monitoring tool, but for security, for backup, we can integrate with other solutions providers as well. I like the PSA tool. It is very user-friendly and interactive with the customer as well. We can, the customer, give feedback directly to the solution. There is no need for another communication channel, like a different email from Outlook or any other tool. From the same solution, we could communicate with the customer, and the customer could reply. So, it includes a collaboration tool with the customer. It could immediately pop up any problem that's at the customer end or in the end devices. Sometimes, it happens that we come to know about an incident negatively, but the monitoring tool gave me the information immediately.

Cons

"However, it would be good to have more widgets and AI-generated reports. I have not seen anything related to AI with Qualys."
"I find the stability of Qualys Patch Management to be inconsistent; sometimes it works fine, while other times when I try to show a colleague something quickly, it takes considerable time to respond."
"There is room for improvement in terms of adding more patches."
"Unified QQL needs improvement because while they have QQL in Qualys Patch Management, it doesn't pull in the same tokens as VMDR or CCM, so I can't search by similar things."
"Qualys should improve by offering a dedicated testing environment for patches, allowing clients to test patches before deploying them to production."
"This authentication requirement blocks some patches from being pushed through Qualys, leaving them in a locked state."

"I found some issues when I integrated the accounting software with Xero."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"From what I have heard, Qualys Patch Management is pricey, which is a main barrier to entry. Another aspect that I do not like about Qualys is that they do not add new patch management functionalities to the existing package. It is a separate SKU, so you have to pay more money."
"Qualys is fairly priced."
"It is affordable, but they should provide features as per the rate they are charging. We have a big infrastructure with about 80,000 licenses. We expect better support from the Qualys team. So, it is affordable, but more features should be there, and the support should be better."
"Qualys Patch Management comes as part of a bundled package with several modules, making it a cost-effective deal for us."
"I'm unaware of Qualys' exact price, but it's more expensive than Nessus. With technological products, you need to pay to get the best."
"Pricing for Qualys Patch Management is moderate."
"Qualys Patch Management's pricing could be more competitive, as it presents a significant obstacle for many companies who find it unaffordable."
"Its price is competitive in the market. Compared to other solutions like Rapid7, Qualys offers a favorable price point and robust features."
"It is affordable."
