Has supported marketing and sales alignment while leaving room for better customization options
I have recommendations for making it easier to customize. I used to work in a tech company, so it's very easy to do that in-house, and our team did that. It's not easy to customize for a regular user though. In the world of generative AI where it's easy for you to connect different tools, APIs, etc., HubSpot Marketing Hub still requires some customization. For example, if you want to make sure it's connected with a custom CRM or some other CRM, there is some fair bit of modification that's required. Some main differences in my experience between HubSpot Marketing Hub and Salesforce are that Salesforce is a bit un-user-friendly. I have to be fair, I haven't used Salesforce too much, but I think HubSpot Marketing Hub is much more user-friendly.

Integration with CRM and third-party systems significantly boosts campaign management
The native integration could be improved, as Oracle Eloqua has decommissioned it. Manual uploads require changing the data priority order to top priority. Sometimes form capturing data fails, and campaign response issues occur. The pricing of Oracle Eloqua is quite high as it is an Oracle product. Compared to other marketing automation platforms such as Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Pardot, the price point is higher. The technical support is rated at eight because it can be difficult to get in touch with them after working hours. Support is only available during business hours, so if assistance is needed outside of the nine-to-five window, users must wait until the next day.

Targeted email journeys have boosted campaign insight and now need better data access and support
I feel that Salesforce Marketing Cloud can be improved in how the data views are accessed; it would be better to have something more physical. With data extensions, you can view them directly, but for data views, it is very difficult as you can only send it out or load it into data extensions. Improvements can also be made in the connections to different external tools such as Azure or AWS. Customer support can be improved in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, as sometimes it is not clear what the issue is or how to approach solving it, and it also takes time to resolve issues.

Pros

"HubSpot is a very helpful solution."
"The biggest reason why I like this solution is the fact that it has so much functionality. It's all contained in one product, so you don't have to use multiple products."
"HubSpot Marketing Hub has kept me updated with alerts."
"I'd offer my strong endorsement."
"The contacts and the connection to sales as well as contact enrichment have been the most valuable aspects of the product."
"Marketing Hub does an incredible job of tracking and updating client records. The reporting has been enhanced, so you can do just about any type of reporting with it and export to Excel if necessary. They just came out with a considerable upgrade a few months ago, which really helped on the reporting side."
"HubSpot Marketing Hub is efficient and offers visibility. It also helps to track leads. I like the tool's Gmail functionality."
"I use HubSpot Marketing Hub for various tasks. It's easy to use and adaptable. After a little training, anyone can handle it efficiently. We use it for drip campaigns, social media, and marketing automation. We're not fully using marketing automation yet for smart content. I like the drag-and-drop feature for editing images and content in email templates. I don't need a developer to create designs. I can quickly test how emails look on different devices.4"
"Eloqua has a drag-and-drop interface based on HTML5 and is the easiest WYSIWYG editor for creating landing pages and HTML emails that I've ever seen."
"Oracle Eloqua is easier to use compared to Salesforce Marketing Cloud because Salesforce requires their own scripting called AMPScript, while in Oracle Eloqua, you only need CSS, HTML, and occasionally JavaScript."
"I like the insight part, where we can pull the reports. Oracle Eloqua can generate reports on the activities that customers take or that we do. That is one interesting part that I enjoy working with."
"Once you get the knowledge to use it, Eloqua is so powerful."
"Eloqua's marketing automation tool has made me not only a better marketer but has given me a new outlook on marketing."
"The initial setup was straightforward."
"Oracle Eloqua is easier to use compared to Salesforce Marketing Cloud because Salesforce requires their own scripting called AMPScript, while in Oracle Eloqua, you only need CSS, HTML, and occasionally JavaScript."
"E10 is a slick easy to use tool that is also robust for those automation experts."
"The most valuable feature of Salesforce Marketing Cloud is the seamless conversion of lead to opportunity, in relation to orders is good. That seamless connection is beneficial and simple."
"Marketing Cloud has improved our productivity and our team enjoy using it."
"I recommend Salesforce Marketing Cloud; it is easier to implement and cost-effective."
"The most valuable feature is the ability to get quotes out in a timely manner."
"We use Marketing Cloud for marketing campaigns and engaging customers. It is a business-focused application for a specific area of business, which is acquiring customers."
"The user interface is easy to use, especially for my staff who use assistive technology."
"The most valuable features of Salesforce are the automation and the ability to create dashboards which provide a wider picture of what is going on."
"Salesforce Marketing Cloud provides an edge for my organization by tracking the budget, how it is spent, where we stand, and how many cold calls or nurtured calls have been converted into sales."

Cons

"It would be ideal if there was a way to forward a notification or create notifications for non-HubSpot users."
"The search and questions aren't as intuitive as I would expect from a platform like this."
"They're not the cheapest."
"There are specific functions that we require that don't exist yet. The landing page building feature leaves much to be desired; we abandoned it and integrated with Unbounce."
"They're not the cheapest."
"They should increase the ease of actually creating the contacts and the workflows and enhance that aspect."
"Increase the CRM size for sole proprietors before increasing the fee."
"They've inserted new modules over time, but they're add-ons and require additional licenses depending on packages."
"There are some limitations with the platform in terms of creativity."
"Eloqua has great integration with Salesforce.com, but I'd love to see a little more of that rolled into a more intuitive UI."
"The reporting features should be improved."
"The dashboards or the data which we get from insights reports could be improved."
"Email WYSWIG editor is far from being the best I've seen, I recommend to work with FrontPage or Dreamweaver before and copy HTML code."
"Data manipulation tools are lacking. Documentation is sketchy and often incomplete."
"Not suited for small companies."
"There are usually bugs after updates but you know they are coming and they are very responsive to quickly fixing any issues"
"There is a lot of room for improvement in Salesforce Marketing Cloud's dashboards and the visualization of information in each journey."
"There could be easier tools to configure the product and to create landing pages to better handle large data sets."
"They can perhaps simplify the dashboards. In my opinion as an end-user, reports could also be simplified, but it also depends on how your company is set up."
"The dashboards should be more intuitive, as there are far too many items on them."
"Clarity around new features could be improved when they are released."
"A few of our clients found using Salesforce Marketing Cloud challenging after they upgraded, they were finding it difficult to just move to the newer version of Salesforce and they were complaining about the customer support because they did not help them out."
"The product could use a little bit of BI in the sense of rule-based building."
"Marketing Cloud should change the script language that it uses because it's not good. It's tricky and difficult to develop."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"HubSpot Marketing Hub provided me with the startup package with 90% off, but it's still hundreds of dollars a month instead of thousands of dollars a month. There is an additional cost for training and onboarding which is hundreds of dollars. It is expensive and should be reduced."
"The solution is cheaper than its competitors."
"I believe an individual license costs $50 per month."
"I'd rate the solution's pricing in the middle range. I want more regular communication from our customer service manager to help us improve our use of HubSpot Marketing Hub."
"HubSpot Marketing Hub is less expensive than one of its competitors."
"Have sufficient content before signing up for the 30-day trial."
"For our organization, HubSpot was pretty affordable compared to Google Analytics."
"Regarding pricing and licensing, I haven't directly handled it, but I assume Zoho might be cheaper. However, I would still prefer HubSpot due to its cleaner and more user-friendly interface."
"Our licensing costs are yearly."
"Oracle Eloqua's pricing is medium."
"The solution is expensive."
"Oracle Eloqua is quite an affordable solution."
"The tool is pricey compared to products like Marketo."
"It's quite expensive."
"Oracle Eloqua can be expensive compared to alternatives."
"Salesforce has different versions of the solution and some are more suitable for smaller clients. However, Salesforce is expensive."
"We did a yearly license. We negotiated and got a great deal. I don't think we would have gotten far with the regular price, but they negotiated, so it was worth that."
"The solution is paid for monthly."
"Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a highly expensive solution, it needs to be less expensive. We are on an annual license to use the solution."
"My company pays to use this solution."
"Its licensing is on an annual basis. Customers are okay with its licensing cost, and they don't find it expensive."
"Licensing fees are paid on a yearly basis."
"Salesforce Marketing Cloud is affordable, considering the significant improvements it brings to our campaign results."
