Advanced sandboxing has protected users from zero-day threats and has simplified secure file scanning
The smooth integrations between Fortinet FortiSandbox and other Fortinet solutions such as FortiWeb and FortiFirewall and with other Fortinet environments are what I really appreciate. We have minimum false positives during threat detection. Our clients have not given negative feedback from detection. As you know, it still needs some tuning after implementation. However, we never receive negative feedback for many false positives during implementation.

Achieve effective threat prevention and seamless integration with powerful technical support
Integration with third-party products is possible. For example, connecting a mail gateway with Palo Alto Networks WildFire allows them to handle prevention. Palo Alto Networks WildFire is a cloud-based sandboxing solution. The firewall is connected to WildFire, and XDR performs sandboxing from the cloud. WildFire conducts malware scanning and emulation, then informs the firewall to block threats based on the response. It also generates reports regarding malware and other issues. The sandboxing process involves sending sample files to the cloud for scanning, checking file authenticity, certificates, and detecting malicious code. WildFire performs multiple checks and informs the XDR agent about file status. This automatic process occurs within minutes or seconds. For unknown or suspicious files, immediate blocking occurs while samples are sent to WildFire for identification. I rate Palo Alto Networks WildFire a 9 out of 10.

Has a good configuration but the price should be more competitive
Our primary use case of this solution is for security.  It's a good solution but the price is high. It also has an easy configuration. The feedback that we get from our customers is that it's a good product. Our customers are mostly smaller enterprises.  The price should be more competitive.  I…

Pros

"You have access to a report as to what behaviors the example file entered in the registry."
"If you don't want to have any zero-day malware on your network, if you know that you will be literally exposed to those kinds of malware, it's good to have a solution such as this."
"Fortinet FortiSandbox's most valuable feature is the security it provides against threats, such as ransomware, and it integrates well with APIs."
"Fortinet FortiSandbox is scalable."
"The most valuable features of Fortinet FortiSandbox are the analysis options, artificial intelligence, and the many interfaces it provides."
"The dynamic behavior analysis is excellent. We have many attacks caught by the FortiSandbox as zero-day attacks. Additionally, the administration is simple and can be customized to fit your companies needs."
"The most valuable feature is the protection and the way it works, the technology is what I like the most."
"The initial setup of Fortinet was easy, more so than other products, and it has been very easy to work with Fortinet, especially compared to other solutions."
"Technology-wise, it is good because of the granular controls we get in Palo Alto Networks."
"The solution is easy to use and the Panorama feature is good. The software management or the malware blocking and some authentication management system are good."
"We have used different solutions in the past but switched to Palo Alto Networks WildFire due to the fast analysis."
"You have better control because you define apps. You just don't define ports. You define apps, and the apps are monitored in the traffic. It is more specific than the Cisco firewall when it comes to our needs."
"The scalability is acceptable."
"I give the initial setup an eight out of ten."
"In this case, the Palo Alto Networks WildFire capability is very important and I would say very impressive."
"From a technical perspective this has given us a new high as this is how a technology solution should function."
"The reporting that you get from it is the most valuable feature. You can see it via the appliance itself, and also via the MySonicWall account for the registered device. You are able to select the file if it's malicious, and you can select it in the reporting and see what triggered it, and things like that. I found that to be quite useful."
"For the past four and a half years, we haven't had any breaches or issues of any kind."
"Provides good protection and security."
"The feedback that we get from our customers is that it's a good product."
"The stability of the solution is good. We haven't had any breaches or crashes. It's been very stable for us."
"The most valuable feature is the alerting system."
"I enjoy SonicWall as a package, with a robust firewall solution that protects against zero-day threats, optimizes network traffic for critical applications, and offers easy setup and automation for enterprises as well as small businesses."
"The most valuable features of the product are the application filters, application policies, that block certain websites and allow bandwidth for others, those kinds of things."

Cons

"For additional features, maybe a form of execution pain files in a non-virtual environment because it has threats that identify when it is being run in a virtual machine."
"Fortinet FortiSandbox should improve its performance and security accuracy to keep competitive with other solutions, such as IBM."
"The response time from technical support should be improved."
"For additional features, maybe a form of execution pain files in a non-virtual environment because it has threats that identify when it is being run in a virtual machine."
"If we can have more dashboards, it would be good."
"The initial setup is not too complex but could be easier."
"The licensing can be very confusing. It needs to be simplified."
"The initial setup is not too complex but could be easier."
"One area for improvement is the expansion of the sandbox environment to include a broader range of platforms, such as Linux, macOS, and mobile operating systems."
"The solution is a bit expensive. You pay for security."
"I think it would be nice for Palo Alto to work without the connection to the cloud. It is 100% powerful when connected to the cloud. But, if you disconnect from the cloud, you only get 40-50% power."
"Palo Alto Networks WildFire could improve by adding support for manual submission of suspicious files and URLs."
"The VPN and decryption need improvement."
"The cost of the solution is excessively high."
"The system performance degrades after the solution has been deployed for some time. The data that it gives us becomes a little bit slow."
"The global product feature needs improvement, the VPN, and we need some enhanced features."
"I would like to have better documentation before starting with deployment because the deployment is a bit complex."
"Having an on-premise solution as well would be an option for some people, but they'll want to use a cloud solution for their sandboxing."
"It does fare well against enterprise products."
"SonicWall had a recent layoff. This is a concern for us, because now we are missing the local presence from both the engineering and sales side."
"SonicWall should promote their roadmap and improve their marketing to customers."
"Sometimes customers are not aware of which protection is best for their business and SonicWall doesn't provide them with information on security features."
"SonicWall had a recent layoff. This is a concern for us, because now we are missing the local presence from both the engineering and sales side."

"Palo Alto Networks WildFire is an expensive product."
"It is a reasonable price compared to other solutions on the market."
"We get our value for our money."
"When you compare it with other solutions, they are cheaper and more economical."
"It's thirty dollars per user and we have 30 users."
"The best deal from SonicWall is to buy the HA pair. When you buy the initial one, you receive the second one at a significant discount. If there is an event and something happens to one firewall, then you have the second firewall to roll into. For the price, it's pretty to tough to beat and not a lot of other firewall vendors offer it. You battle for a discount on both. Where with SonicWall, if you buy one, the second one is at half price. It's pretty straightforward."
