Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"This solution has allowed our team to focus on higher value activities and to make sure that they are optimizing time to identify talent and match it to opportunities. They can then focus on the layers where humans are necessary.""I really like the ability to run campaigns with pipelines and events. Matching prospects based on skills and the calibration process has been most valuable.""The ability to get matched to candidates is certainly valuable. In real time, you are able to adjust your description of the work and the project you need done in order to match you with the best candidates.""The CRM is a useful feature to create user communities that we can actively engage in on an ongoing basis.""The most valuable aspect of this solution is the insight we receive on current employees.""It really expedites the whole process and helps the end-customer hone in on what they need. With the evolution to remote work that we are currently going through, there's much more of a need to tailor recruiting.""This solution has also been easy to use for people visiting our career site. Our survey report shows that 79-80% of users marked the application process to be very easy on our website.""This solution has made our team more collaborative. The recruiting team is easily able to see what the other team members are working on, what candidates are in process and how they can share candidates amongst themselves. They are now able to prevent work duplication due to increased visibility. Eightfold is candidate centric."

"I like that it's easy to use and flexible.""It's a fully consolidated system. All the transactions and configuration are co-located in one fully in-memory system, so there is no need to go to different data sources (multiple DBs) to pull data; it’s all in one place.""This product is leaps and bounds above the competition. Part of the reason is that it is built with modern technology. It has no legacy coding in it at all.""We use this solution to manage financials, payroll and recruiting.""The most valuable features of the solution are the usability, learning, and compliance tools.""The solution was very good at reconfiguration and customization of their software. It helped us to meet federal regulations.""Workday is highly intuitive from a customer experience perspective. It was effortless for us to understand what to do even though we didn't have any related training. It was easy to use without guidance.""The payroll and benefits engine is the most valuable Workday solution in my opinion. It is also easy to access."

Cons
"From my perspective, I think the usability could use some attention. Eightfold.ai offers modules for talent acquisition, talent management, and other areas like projects. They try to use a common UI for all of them, but it really needs to be more persona-based. That's the thing that I struggle with the most.""It would be interesting to enable Eightfold to have a user experience that is seamless in terms of single sign on to and from core systems of record. That is, the ability for a user or hiring manager/recruiter to go in and out of Eightfold back into their core system, whether that be Oracle, Workday, SuccessFactors, Cornerstone, etc. It would great to be able to go back and forth with a single sign on capability so that you don't have to log in and out of applications, where it's a bidirectional single sign on.""Eightfold could be improved if they had more round table conversations about features and their roadmap. They should actively seek out feedback from their customers.""Eightfold could be improved by focusing on the employee experience. It is important that Eightfold understands how it forms part of the entire experience, especially as they continue to scale. Eightfold should make sure they understand how it connects with other solutions in our technology ecosystem to drive the full user experience.""There are some small product features that could be enhanced. Ease of use and the recruiter user experience could be improved. Moving through certain stages involves many clicks which can be time consuming.""We have had a couple of challenges with some of the things that we're currently trying to build out in our HCM application, and other things within the portfolio, but those aren't customer-facing issues.""An opportunity for Eightfold to improve on is to open up their environment to allow us to own our application maintenance and development environment. We would like to be able to make some of the configuration changes and improvements ourselves.""There is room for improvement with regards to sourcing and attribution and to be more efficient with connecting leads."

More Eightfold Talent Intelligence Platform Cons →

"Workday would be improved with more API connectors.""Workday does have a community site where people can go on and off for suggestions. They call them Brainstorms, and you can vote them up. That is something that they do well, but oftentimes, they seem to be racing to deliver something based on what a competitor is delivering. For example, if they hear SAP has this new functionality and learning that's going to be coming out, they prioritize there, which makes sense, but unfortunately, some of these Brainstorms may get neglected where the product might not be improved as quickly or as needed for the customers. You might be waiting for a year or two to get a feature that you'd like released. They should pay more attention to customer feedback and ensure that customer feedback is an essential part of their product roadmap.""This solution could be improved by providing user-level access to customization capabilities. Users currently rely on more technical teams to customize reports, for example.""There is a lot of complexity in the configuration of this solution.""One area that could be improved with Workday is the analytics side.""The solution should be more user-friendly.""It is good that much of the development is based on community input but often that can lead to details being ignored and small, nagging issues are ignored.""The user interface could be better. Everything else was fine."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The pricing is fair compared to the market."
  • "This is a fairly expensive solution compared to others on the market. However, the solution offers functionality of a number of other different solutions combined. From that perspective, it is competitively priced."
  • "The pricing is fairly competitive. The licensing is fairly flexible to have all employees take advantage of it in any given capacity."
  • "I would rate the pricing a seven out of ten, with one being cheap and ten being expensive."

  • "With a bigger budget, I would recommend SAP."
  • "Workday is an expensive solution."
  • "You have the license fee per module, and then you have a kind of annual training fee, which is a kind of add-on. I wouldn't say it is exhaustive; it is minor. Licensing is pretty transparent for most of the part."
  • "The pricing is good from an HR perspective, although management gets upset after spending $500,000 a year, every year."
  • "Its price is pretty high. It is more expensive than what is offered by other competitors in the market."
  • "It has an annual subscription rate, but I'm not sure how it will work."
  • "The pricing for this solution is fairly high. It is not affordable for small and mid-sized companies."
  • "By and large, Workday is expensive. It is based on the headcount. I'd probably rate it a three or four out of five in terms of pricing. It'd be like buying a Mercedes or a high-end car. It's expensive, but there's a specific value that you're getting with additional features and things of that nature. Using that metaphor, Workday probably tends to be more of a luxury. There are others like ADP that can do your payroll, your time off, and other things, but they don't do it as well."
