Content workflows have become faster and empower non-technical teams to update pages independently
Contentful makes it easier for non-technical teams to update content by providing organized, flexible data models with support for a variety of data types and content editors such as WYSIWYG form fields and raw text areas. It has great built-in versioning features with history and draft states, so it is easy to make updates and revert when needed. Some of the best features that Contentful offers include organized, flexible data models with support for a variety of data types and content editors such as WYSIWYG form fields and raw text. Contentful has great built-in versioning features with history and draft states, making it easy to make updates and revert when needed. Additionally, it has a very intuitive user interface and good support for multiple spaces, which can be helpful for companies that need separate projects for development, staging, and production. It is also very cost-effective and powerful, and it keeps a history of changes made to the content easily. The versioning and multiple spaces features of Contentful have helped my team manage content effectively, as we leverage Contentful's headless CMS capabilities to easily build a static website using modern technology such as GatsbyJS and ReactJS, making it an ideal solution for small businesses and startups seeking a low-maintenance approach. It is a very scalable tool. Contentful has positively impacted my organization as it is very scalable, can be used by any size of organization, and is a very cost-effective tool. It helps us save cost, especially when dealing with a lot of content compared to other alternatives. Its intuitive design facilitates seamless updates of photos and written content while providing the ability to revert changes when necessary. It has been a very good tool because I am able to spend less time maintaining websites, and my clients spend less time worrying about their site crashing or being hacked. This tool has allowed me to be much more flexible with the types of front-end technology I can use. Since it is very easy to use for all types of technical users, there is no time wasted. It enabled rapid project delivery and low-cost projects for my organization. Since adopting Contentful, we have seen an increase in sales and marketing from 45% to 65%. More work is delivered due to reusability and other features within a shorter time and with less manual effort.

Centralized document governance has boosted collaboration and made knowledge sharing structured
SharePoint is a powerful platform, but there are a few areas where I think it could be improved, such as user experience. For new users, the interface and navigation can feel quite complex, specifically when working with multiple sites and document libraries. Another improvement would be search functionalities. While it is good sometimes, it does not always return the most relevant result unless a document is very well-structured and tagged. Also, initial setup and customizations can be time-consuming and may require technical expertise, specifically when configuring workflows or permissions. From a modern development perspective, tighter and more seamless integrations with tools including Power Automate and better support for custom backend integrations through APIs could make it more efficient. Overall, simplifying usability and enhancing search and integration capability would make SharePoint even stronger. One additional area I would appreciate improvement would be performance and responsiveness, especially when dealing with a large document library. Sometimes loading or navigating through large datasets can feel quite slow. Another aspect is permissions management. While it is very powerful, it can become complex to manage at scale, specifically when there are multiple levels of access across teams and projects. Improving developer experience would also be beneficial. Making customization, API integrations, and extensions more straightforward would help teams, especially backend developers, leverage SharePoint more efficiently.

"Contentful has positively impacted my organization by greatly increasing productivity and collaboration."
"Contentful has impacted my organization positively because it has been a game changer since we started using this tool."
"Contentful has positively impacted my work because I have people browsing Google and because I use SEO as well, and my articles are indexed and written by me, people come and read them, and the most valuable part is that some people find them attractive and actually read about topics like the difference between chatbots or agents, what is a chatbot, what is fine-tuning, or remote work, which are quite important looking at the market right now."
"Contentful has become an essential tool for our business, addressing some great needs."
"Contentful is a very easy-to-use tool, making managing content very easy and serving as a very cost-effective solution, thus making it a recommendable tool."
"Contentful has positively impacted my organization by allowing me to both develop and release content really quickly and be responsive to market changes and other factors."
"Contentful is a very great tool and a game changer when it comes to content management."
"The ability to take Excel files and make them dynamic SharePoint lists with instant reporting capabilities has been a major benefit."
"Sharing information is very easy in SharePoint. We use multiple types of documents, like online Excel tools and online content editing, especially for group editing. This allows us to collaborate, even in distributed teams. Despite being geographically spread out, everyone can access the same files online, edit them, and see changes. We also use SharePoint to track all these changes, making our teamwork more collaborative overall. The tool fastens information sharing and collaboration."
"It offers ease of use, which is crucial."
"Otherwise, this is an amazing option."
"The most valuable features to our organization are the ability to store and share documents across the entire corporation, and the ability to use workflows."
"Collaboration became a lot easier."
"Improved transparency around work products."
"Its most valuable feature is the document library."

Cons

"A minor issue I have is that Contentful does not have a way to organize fields within an entry."
"One area where Contentful could be improved is the user interface, which needs some enhancements."
"Contentful has not helped my organization or our customers achieve any measurable benefits, such as saving time or improving workflows, as we have not measured that."
"Deployments could be somewhat easier for migrating content from lower environments to higher environments, which is a challenge we are currently experiencing with Contentful."
"Contentful can be improved by enhancing their SDK to directly connect with our presentation layer, and if we just provide a class name or something, that would make it better."
"One way Contentful can be improved is that it requires development resources to get the most out of it, which some small organizations may find challenging."
"However, I find that the licensing can be frustrating, especially for smaller organizations."
"I think the free tier has always been very generous, but the 25 content model types have at times been limiting, and I have had to find innovative ways to work around it because we are a community radio station that runs on donations and grants."
"Better wiki offerings."
"Too many versions being released in a short time period. Too much time being devoted to migration planning."
"SharePoint Online could improve the user interface and when modifying any of the user interfaces can be challenging. Additionally, there are challenges with the detail in the analytics user interface and the overall customization could improve."
"I would like to see the following: More freedom given to a power user Feature development on a site collection level without the need for farm-level rights"
"The product must provide more automation."
"It does not integrate despite being part of the Microsoft family."
"Document libraries and document management could be improved."
"Microsoft support could be better, especially for enterprise troubleshooting. They require a lot of logs and often rely on online support, which does not meet customer expectations."
