Report generation offers invaluable insights into database performance
I basically use the solution for database management and to view the performance of a particular database object, any specific program, batch program, or online programs. Using the CSSZ tool, I can effectively monitor performance. In case of an exception, I can inform the application team. At DB2…

Enhancing User Experience with Clustering While Potential Exists for Better Customization
My total experience with Terracotta is installing it in the architecture to do the clustering in WebMethods Integration Server. This provided to tackle the memory and the processes of those servers in the same pool. Terracotta, as per my understanding, is used for caching. The first function is used for clustering the requests. Regarding improvements, I cannot imagine what could be improved because my actual work in Integration Server is not totally restricted to Terracotta. The main function was restricted to developing services using integration servers in Software AG. The use of Terracotta is just for implementing caching. In this part, I create a cache manager for this response, and from a UI perspective, I am unable to suggest improvements.

Pros

"The reports generated and the old statistics shown are really helpful."
"Improved monitoring and performance management."
"It is very stable. We have had no issues."
"The most important features are batch reporting and the ability to create repositories, enabling automated analysis. These are valuable because they enable me to do automated analysis of trends over time and reduce the time for comparing performance between two periods to identify anomalies."
"It takes advantage of new features of DB2."
"It helps us to reduce hardware costs and to optimize processing times."
"The impact of Terracotta's high availability and failover capabilities on the organization's data consistency and reliability is significant."

Cons

"They need to provide a way to create and maintain performance repositories. The online tool is not perfect, but it is giving me what I need."
"Minor stability issues."
"All the information we need, we could use to have it in a more usable format."
"In the case of any particular SQL which is executing for a longer time and causing issues with any particular store or DB2 programs, if it could pinpoint the problems like any other tool should do, that would be really helpful."
"I know that we have many other solutions that do the same functionality as Terracotta. I don't recall the names of the products now, but I believe there are many products that may be better than Terracotta."
