PayPal powered by Braintree makes it easy to accept payments through your BigCommerce store. Our payment gateway is similar to the credit card terminal you swipe your card through at the grocery store—we'll make sure your customer's payment information gets to the right places and doesn't fall into the wrong hands.
When you sign up for BigCommerce, you'll automatically be assigned a PayPal powered by Braintree provisional merchant account. This will give you access to your new payment gateway via the Braintree Control Panel. To get your funds, you'll need to fill out an application and get approved for a full merchant account.
With BigCommerce and PayPal powered by Braintree, your connection to payment processing is simple; all the guesswork and setup has been done for you. Keep in mind that your simplified gateway won’t have all the bells and whistles of a full-stack integration with Braintree, but it does let you focus on what matters most—running your business.
