Authorize.Net is an online payment gateway enabling small to medium-sized online merchants to accept credit card and electronic check payments from websites and deposit funds automatically into their merchant bank account. Our payment gateway is similar to the credit card terminal you swipe your card through at the grocery store—we'll make sure your customer's payment information gets to the right places and doesn't fall into the wrong hands.
When you sign up for BigCommerce, you'll automatically be assigned a PayPal powered by Braintree provisional merchant account. This will give you access to your new payment gateway via the Braintree Control Panel. To get your funds, you'll need to fill out an application and get approved for a full merchant account.
