A simple and lightweight college course automation system with third-party integrations
The initial setup is straightforward and can be completed with the environment within an hour. First, take the latest from the git repository and check the git code to the monitor studio and a bar file, a deployable Bonita archive file. Then, take that process to the Bonita server, running at runtime on another server. Finally, deploy and enable it by selecting the proper organization.

Created detailed rack and network diagrams that streamline documentation and collaboration
For creating diagrams, I definitely use Visio for HLD, LLD, and traffic flow diagrams. Apart from Visio, I use Jira only if the customer specifically requests it; otherwise, I do not use an in-house version of Jira in my organization. One of the good features of using the Microsoft umbrella product is that if I create a big diagram and then work on the HLD or LLD in Word, I can select everything from Visio and paste it as an image without needing to resize it, which streamlines the process of creating documentation for customers. The main benefits Visio provides me include simplifying processes, saving time on manual work with diagram creation, and delivering a clean architecture, whether it is network architecture or application flow. I have created diagrams for AWS, Azure, GCP, and on-premises data centers, including rack elevation diagrams and organization charts. Modifications can be made easily and reflected immediately, and I can create PNG images to share with the executive team.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"This product is very easy-to-use and user-friendly."
"Bonita is user-friendly, and the features are useful."
"Bonitasoft helped us automate complicated and labor intensive processes"
"Of the three BPM vendors I evaluated, Bonita was the best in creating forms, ease of customization of forms, and versatility of supported platforms, and it is the only BPM platform that I've seen so far that allows for versioning of artifacts."
"With Bonita BPM, you can run the process (as it will in the final stage) immediately after the design stage, giving you 100% control over the quality of your processes and flows."
"Process automation with Bonita BPM is really easy."
"One of the most valuable features is you can create without coding, it is a low code platform."
"Our lead generation system involves both automated and human tasks. By centralizing the workflow to our internal Bonita BPM system, we have improved the conversion rate (leads to customers) and lowered the number of leads dropped."
"By utilizing Visio, we have been able to put on paper our network design, server room setup, and network connections, making it a lot easier to troubleshoot and figure out where the issues, errors, or disconnects may be happening."
"Visio is outstanding because it has features that are useful for project management."
"Visio has improved our organization through an essential collaboration with the other Microsoft applications like SharePoint and Excel."
"Visio is powerful and a fully-featured, functional piece of software."
"I love that interface a lot."
"I think the best part of Visio is that you can import drawings very well into Microsoft Word."
"The ability to visualize a workflow is certainly an advantage over just tracking a process in something like Excel."
"The product efficiently visualizes various business processes, including building and networking architecture."

Cons

"Automation in vacation of a human resources replacement would be a good improvement in the product."
"There is a considerable learning curve."
"The documentation and examples definitely could be enhanced."
"Bonita can improve by offering more flexibility."
"The initial setup is not easy compared to other products."
"The community edition has limited module functionality. If they could release some of the functionality that's available in the enterprise edition that would be helpful to those learning to use the solution."
"The interface is advanced and quite good, but it could improve."
"The support is mandatory to access all features (Subscription), maybe they can have a different business model."
"The solution should be included in Microsoft Office 365. For some reason, it's not. It should be bundled in with everything else."
"System architecture could be improved."
"Sometimes, there is a little bit of a learning curve with it, especially while doing complex network diagrams and getting the lines to snap the way you want them and not overlap or be confusing. It would be great if there was a built-in tutorial. It is not that you can't YouTube, but it would be nice if they gave you some free training. I've been using it forever, but every now and then, I got to do something complicated with it and I wonder how do I do that again. Maybe they do have such information, and I don't know. I have not done research on it because a bunch of people work for me, and some of them are better at it than I am, so I just ask them to do this for me."
"Visio should implement more complex tools or graphics to facilitate processing and use flexible templates. The tools supplied or provided are very basic, and there are not enough tools for design."
"There are some performance issues on a different operating system which could be improved."
"For professional use layout configuration is sometimes a little difficult to use."
"In terms of enterprise architecture, Visio is limited."
"The solution's flexibility can be perceived as both a strength and a weakness."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I am using the free version of Bonita."
"You pay an annual fee and can have an unlimited number of processes and users."
"Licensing cost for the Enterprise edition comes out to be around 40,000 a year. There is also a Community edition, which is free. Some customers can go for the Community edition, but some of them require the Enterprise edition. Big companies go for the Enterprise edition, which comes with a lot of additional features such as a mobile app."
"have installed the image of Bonita BPM on Amazon AWS and there is just one option to use and pay for."
"The price is fair for what we are using the solution for."
"The price of the solution is reasonable."
"I believe this is a very good financial choice."
"Price to service ratio with Bonita BPM is good."
"We're in a Visio plan that is like $15 a month per user. At the moment, it is just the standard licensing fees that I'm aware of."
"It has a lower price point than the competition."
"The pricing is reasonable and I would rate it 6 out of 10."
"Visio is expensive."
"We pay annually for the Visio license and it is expensive."
"It is a free solution for us. It is integrated with our pack. We are trying to use the solutions that we already have."
"The pricing of Visio is much better. It has a free version of the cheapest functionality which is enough for us."
"While I don't recall the exact price I do recall that it was quite high."
