We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The Microsoft Windows Autopilot and Defender policies are the most valuable features of this solution.""Remote Wipe and Autopilot is one of the best features.""One of the most valuable aspects of Microsoft Intune is its seamless integration with Azure Active Directory, offering capabilities akin to Group Policy Objects.""We are a remote company, and the product helps us manage the global endpoints. It helps us natively manage the endpoints in the cloud from anywhere.""The solution is scalable. We currently have tens of thousands of users within our organization using the solution.""We can manage and standardize security across your environment, identify problems, receive alerts, and so on. That's its purpose, and that's also why it's so good.""The solution is easy to use and it has good performance.""We have found the solution is capable of scaling."

More Microsoft Intune Pros →

"The solution is stable.""The best feature of the solution is patch automation.""BMC Bladelogic Automation can be used across many OS platforms, providing us flexibility for deployments.""The most valuable feature is its ability to remediate quickly and efficiently across a number of IT assets at the same time. It takes away manual efforts from the team to go out and fix those vulnerabilities through patching, conflict updates, etc.""The ability to script and create BL packages to perform various functions. This makes automating our environment relatively easy to do.""Compliance is also huge... By tying it to Atrium Orchestrator, our workflow tool, we'll be able to have a closed loop where we identify a compliance issue, cut CRs, get them approved, and then be able to execute these CRs and more seamlessly fix these issues on the fly.""As this solution provides strong support and has multiple use cases, it is worth the cost.""Can standardize patching and deployments across affiliates."

"Jobs can be triggered in multiple nodes.""The whole product is valuable because it is a tool for batch automation.""The support from Cisco is very good. I was with them as a company for 40 years""Provides a robust, full spectrum enterprise-wide WLA platform.""The most important feature is the creation of folders. It's a really great feature because you can organize the process with naming conventions.""I have supported this product in literally 100s of different environments and its unmatched in its ability to scale to any size.""The technical support is great, the product is easy-to-use, and it is stable.""The initial setup is easy."

Cons
"One area for improvement is app deployment. Another is the Windows update rollout. If you're rolling out an object to a device that's offline, Intune stops trying to reach this device after it sits idle for a bit. We are forced to find a workaround that could help manage that.""Due to the abundance of features, there's a lot to organize, which makes managing and setting up the solution challenging. The setup is immense, and it would be good to see improvement in this area.""Integrating certain group policies can be challenging and may necessitate using on-premises systems to integrate them with Microsoft Intune.""I'd suggest adding more features for macOS in Intune. There should be more functionality for managing macOS. There should be a better capability for pushing things down on macOS. Currently, Intune is not capable of managing macOS at the same level as Windows.""I would like the ability to install the agent on devices from suppliers, which would enable us to implement a zero-trust strategy for guest devices.""They can improve their MAM policies a little bit more and make them more granular. They should include more granular group policies. They are there, but they need to be more granular. Its stability should also be improved. It is not very stable. Sometimes, it shows some inconsistencies across tenants.""The reports aren't complete, and it's not easy to build custom reports. For example, Windows Autopilot isn't working well in cases where the computers don't have a good internet connection. Then the option is not good enough.""Cost is the biggest factor for us right now. Microsoft Intune and AD P1 together in a bundle is a good thing to have, but it is very costly compared to other products in the market. Otherwise, Microsoft Intune is the best."

More Microsoft Intune Cons →

"The number of APIs available within the tool needs improvement. At the moment, we have a couple of different scanning tools used within the organization, but only one of those is integrated back into Server Automation. There is another tool that they use in another part of the business where it doesn't have an out-of-the-box adaptor for it. We would have to go and create or develop something bespoke to be able to integrate it with that scanning tool. Whereas, with the other scanning tool, there was an API available. To make it easier, I would like to have more APIs available for different scanning tools within that line of business.""The setup of this suite is very complicated. It needs to be simplified.""Resource management on the base servers is sluggish and could be improved.""Scaling the environment during setup at larger organizations with 10,000 employees gets complicated.""Without any knowledge of the product, we used the KB articles to start working. As a result, we definitely did not have full knowledge of BMC BladeLogic... They need to provide a minimum of knowledge with training on YouTube or somewhere else.""We would like to see this solution handle more multitasking.""I would like to see more container integration in the next release of this solution.""There is no other functionality available to patch the containers that we need to include."

More BMC TrueSight Server Automation Cons →

"Scalability-wise, it can be a little bit challenging.""Slow down on the releases a bit. I fully understand that IWA functionality is increasing at an amazing rate, but trying to keep up with the upgrades is rough.""The performance of the previous versions could be better.""The configuration of IBM Workload Automation has some challenges. We have a difficult time customizing it, but it is similar to other solutions.""There should be more custom documentation, specifically around Java APIs. There should also be more training. In terms of features, we are currently using only 50% of its features. We don't use all features that are available, but there is always room for improvement in all of the tools.""It would be helpful to have a mobile app that could be used to follow the job schedule.""It should support other schedulers that aren't IBM products.""This solution does have bugs and could be improved in this regard. However, these bugs are resolved relatively quickly."

    Reviews from Real Users

Microsoft Intune stands out among its competitors for a number of reasons. Two major ones are its ability to secure all devices under its management and the flexibility that the solution offers its users.

A computing services manager notes, "Its security is most valuable. It gives us a way to secure devices, not only those that are steady. We do have a few tablets and other devices, and it is a way for us to secure these devices and manage them. We know they're out there and what's their status. We can manage their life cycle and verify that they're updated properly."

The head of IT engineering at a financial services company writes, "The one feature we find most useful is the Mobile Application Manager. There are two types: we have the complete MDM and the Mobile Application Manager (MAM). We don't give our users phones, it is their own personal phone, and we need to allow them to have access to the company details on their phone. We need to create a balance between their own personal data and the company data. We deploy the Mobile Application Manager for them so that we won't be able to interfere with their own personal data."
