Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Impressive flexibility and support enhance integration and performance
The best feature of Blue Prism that I value the most is the simplicity of their pricing and licensing model, which is easy to understand. The tool is very robust and, being a pioneer in the sector, it is also very stable, particularly in finance where many companies rely on Blue Prism for its reliability and security standards. From a developer perspective, I find developing on Blue Prism simple, clean, and intuitive, making maintenance considerably easier compared to other tools. These AI features have helped in developing scalable and flexible solutions for my customers, as I worked on use cases that involved natural language processing to turn free text into structured data, enabling automation of previously unautomatable tasks. Additionally, I processed voice feedback for sentiment analysis and information extraction, making interactions more intuitive and voice-driven for customers.

A scalable solution which is easy to install and use
I do not use the solution personally as I am not the end-user. It is merely one of the solutions that we offer to our customers. We act as consultants, solution providers. We have around 60 customers who are using the solution. I would, for sure, recommend the solution to others. I consider the profile of the project to be quite good at the moment. I rate Another Monday as a nine out of ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The tool is now more stable, with more opportunities and new commands, like recording for the UI or advanced Excel features."
"We've shifted platforms a couple of times, and Automation Anywhere is the one that stuck based on end-user experience, the ease of development, and trainability with the tool."
"I like the new GenAI and Automation Co-Pilot, which is something like attended automation."
"Being the end user, we didn't really have to get into a learning curve as such since our vendor partners were able to map everything for us as per our requirements. There was not much training that we had to do."
"Automation Anywhere helped me achieve my automation goals as it reduced turnaround time, cost, human intervention, and increased overall satisfaction levels for our customers."
"We did not encounter any stability issues with Automation Anywhere during the time I worked with the solution."
"Our experience with technical support at Automation Anywhere has been great. They have been very helpful, especially during the PoC, processes which are sort of early on in their sales cycle, or when we were just starting with Automation Anywhere a couple of years ago. We got great support for getting it onboarded in-house and getting our team up to speed. So, we have found it to be a great partnership."
"Automated data processing is the most valuable feature of Automation Anywhere."
"The most valuable features are the exception handling and embedded control room."
"Stability-wise, I haven't heard any complaints from our clients."
"We have integrated the product with our centralized infra-monitoring tool, which gives us real-time insights into BOT health and also the health of the underlying resources."
"By automating repetitive tasks, we are able to save a lot of time and there are also fewer human errors."
"Once we got up and running, it's amazing, it's perfect."
"The support is good."
"The most valuable feature of Blue Prism is the control and development of the processes from one location."
"Mostly we use the Design Studio to develop the automation; it's great, we put them into deployment and have the automated process running, and it's essentially the Design Studio for Blue Prism and the entire methodology of delivery that is the most useful or valuable to us."
"The solution is very easy to use."
"The initial setup is very quick."

Cons

"For people who don't have technical skills, Automation Anywhere may take time when it comes to browsing or loading time, and sometimes becomes very buggy with unwanted failures."
"There's potential for Automation Anywhere to integrate conversational types of tools and AI into their tool set, which would be really valuable."
"New versions keep coming up. The challenge for us is to have the downtime to do the migrations."
"I feel that document extraction like IQ Bot can be made more refined so that it may reach its full potential."
"The product is not the best that it could be. There is always room to improve it a bit more. They are heading in the right direction with their innovations."
"However, if documents are scanned and not clear, the accuracy is not up to the mark."
"The price is a little high and could be reduced."
"Automation Anywhere can be improved by reducing the time of the processes and enhancing the efficiency of people."
"The upgrades could be managed better. I would also like to see more true AI development and machine learning."
"Technical support has a local team, but they have not been very supportive. We have not received a sufficient level of support from the Blue Prism's professional support team."
"The UI is more complicated than other tools."
"In the next release of this solution, I would like to see support for attended robots."
"For developers, they should have some kind of recording feature."
"This solution is lacking attended automation, which is the worst thing about this solution."
"We would like to see some desktop automation, although we have been told that the product is not going to be taken in that direction."
"The licensing models for this product need improvement. Compared to other tools on the market, it is one of the most expensive."
"The solution should come with language customization, which would simplify its use for our customers."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It is subscription-based. They have different schemes. The price depends on how you negotiate with the local partner or local representative in your country."
"We save approximately 10,000 hours per year."

"The pricing strategy for us is one license for development. It is more complicated than that depending on the options you choose."
"I feel the cost of licensing is very high for the A2019 version."
"Its cost is good."
"We have seen ROI in terms of cost and time with a couple of our projects."
"Automation Anywhere might have a higher upfront cost than some competitors, but its extensive features and seamless integration with other tools can save organizations money in the long run."
