Automation and AI integration enhance performance and user experience
The improvements or enhancements I would like to see in Blue Prism Cloud revolve around further developing server-client architecture, focusing on centralized control for remote agents. I believe more capabilities in that area could be beneficial. At the moment, I don't recall any specific features or functionalities missing from Blue Prism Cloud that come to mind. In terms of complexity, I find that Blue Prism Cloud is somewhat straightforward to use. Flexibility-wise, it engages well with Microsoft-based technologies. However, there are challenges with OCR capabilities that remain an issue. While there are readily available features that work well, the effectiveness does depend significantly on the type of use case I am implementing.

Simplifies integrations and is suitable for large companies
Sometimes, when our company develops using the latest technology, the knowledge is not yet cycled down to the tool's support team. The tool's support team is not mature enough to handle the tool. The promotion of a feature before it is mature may cause issues, and I feel that sometimes the deployment of such features is a little too early. The tool will release a feature, but it will have bugs in it. We face challenges because the tool's team doesn't have the knowledge to deal with the issues in the product's new features. When SAP develops something, if the tool's team doesn't know how to support it, it becomes a problem because now we have to access developers to get the information that is not readily available.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"One of the most valuable features is automating manual and repetitive business processes, streamlining operations and reducing manual labour."
"Ability to see the blueprint of the design executed alongside the actual process."
"Blue Prism is well known for being used in banking and security organizations. Its security is superior compared to UiPath and other RPA tools."
"We used it for process automation."
"If I look at the top four, I believe it is far more user-friendly than the other competition."
"It is an easily scalable solution."
"The technical support team of Blue Prism Cloud is very good...I rate the support a ten out of ten."
"The most valuable feature is security."
"The most valuable feature of the solution is that it offers an integrated development environment."

Cons

"Blue Prism might consider adding package options to allow users to come onboard in different ways that meet their needs rather than buying in to the whole package."
"I personally would like the solution to be supporting more languages."
"Blue Prism is slightly difficult for the non-technical user."
"If Blue Prism could integrate into Azure SQL because it's essentially an on-prem code, on infrastructure as a service. So, Blue Prism has moved the infrastructure into the cloud, but they haven't necessarily moved the application into cloud-native."
"I would like to see a web-based control room, rather than the one that is in-built with the desktop version."
"However, there are challenges with OCR capabilities that remain an issue."
"Decipher, one of their solutions, is a waste of time."
"Blue Prism Cloud could improve by having more innovations for the solution, such as more capability. I am looking for cloud-based services, such as Power Automate that we can recommend for cloud customers. UiPath and Automation Anywhere have more innovation in their solution."
"The tool's support team is not mature enough to handle the tool."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I am not sure how we are set up today, but I recall we had an annual License."
"The licensing structure is complex and the minimum contract length is three years."
"The licensing of the solution is on a subscription-based model and costs around 4,999 for one bot's license. If someone wants to increase the number of bots you want from Blue Prism, then they provide a discount."
"The default configuration does not include large-scale log injection, but if you require, such integration, it may incur additional costs per gigabyte. I don't have the exact pricing information for log injection, but it is possible that it varies depending on the volume of data. While there may be a basic service included, additional features might come at an extra cost. When working with cloud environments like VMs, calculating costs involves considering factors such as usage duration, network traffic, inbound and outbound data transfer, as well as network access control. The pricing structure for cloud coverage solutions follows a similar pattern, although specific pricing details would need to be obtained separately."
"Blue Prism Cloud’s pricing is fine for commercial usage."
"I would rate the pricing a five out of ten, with one being cheap and ten being expensive."
"Blue Prism Cloud's cost is very high."
"I rate the platform’s pricing a seven out of ten."
"The product is not cheaply priced."
