Doesn't have daily updates, which is important for healthcare IT
I face challenges with the exclusion policy - it still scans folders we told it not to, causing issues. When we contact support, they tell us to update the latest agent, but we can't do that immediately due to medical device protocols and validation testing. I wish support would try to understand our issues better instead of giving this standard response. The machine learning feature they use often tells us to upgrade the agent or add things to the exclusion list, which isn't unacceptable. It's a very good and new technology as a tool and antivirus. But sometimes, it doesn't work properly with our medical devices and products, quarantining files it shouldn't even after we add them to exclusions. This is tricky for us.

The solution provides endpoint detection and response with a nice-looking dashboard
The solution is easily scalable because it's in the cloud and we can push the agents using our Cafea solution. We can even deploy the applications to our remote branches easily. We currently have four people using the solution and if the number of computers increases we can scale up by increasing the number of licenses.

Quotes from Members

Cons

"They could improve on the false positives, reporting and whitelisting features."
"It needs real analysis of quarantined files. The EDR product isn't showing much right now."
"Making the dashboards a bit modern to make them easier to search would also be helpful."
"The product does not do a lot of reporting on what it is taking care of. Enhanced reporting would be a welcome improvement."
"It was not effective. There were a lot of false positives, even when we use Adobe, and everybody uses Adobe, which is not a threat."
"Work on the math model. We are catching a lot of false positives, which gets to be a pain at the start of a deployment."
"The high price of the product is an area of concern where improvements are required. The product's price should be more competitive."
"The security scripting needs improvement. It needs deeper security for scripting."
"The product's resource utilization is a concern, especially regarding memory usage on systems with older specifications such as lower memory and less powerful processors."
"If you are not an IT expert, the solution is difficult to use."
"The solution could improve on the resource management, it is a bit heavy on the resources."
"It would be ideal if the price could be lowered a little bit."

"The only drawback is that it requires a little more system configuration."
"The product's filtering and stability can be better."
"We have to use additional third-party solutions to fill the gaps in the capabilities of Sophos EPP Suite, such as using a mobility scanner. It would be helpful to add this feature."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Our licensing cost for the solution is around $4,000 for six months. There are no costs in addition to the standard licensing fees."
"The initial end-point cost may seem a little high (~$55/device/year) but when you look at the total peace of mind that the solution provides, with no reboots for updates, and negligible performance impact, it is well worth it."
"It is expensive, but not unreasonable."
"We would just add more if there are new users, but right now you just need one license for per user."
"Review closely how many endpoints you actually need before buying into a pricing level. Deal and deal with the VAR of your choice."

"The product has a yearly licensing fee."
"There are licenses to use this solution and we are on a three-year license."
"The platform is expensive but worth it."
