Has supported mid-market deployments with cloud-based centralized management and reliable wireless performance
I faced challenges earlier with a limitation of 50 APs in single sites, but that has enhanced to 100 numbers, eliminating that challenge for Aruba Instant On team. Additionally, some features are not listed in the cloud management platform and still require offline access, so enhancing the cloud management features would be better for us.

Extremely easy management of access points; user friendly dashboard
I like the ease of use this product offers; you can manage it from home and don't need to take the console access or go on the specific IP. It is very easy to manage the access points. The product has a user friendly dashboard with all the options and features.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution provides a very good end-user experience."
"The products offer a lot of flexibility. Almost everything can be configured. It works very well for providing remote services."
"The features I have found most valuable is that the solution creates a guest portal for guest networks, and setting up SSID authentication to the regular server."
"Aruba Instant is cloud-based, and thus, it improves wireless network performance on cloud platforms. The solution allows network monitoring through devices like mobiles and desktops, which is a feasible option. The tool also has Bluetooth settings so a user can deploy Aruba Instant through a serial number or the Bluetooth option."
"I like the Instant On switches and the AP22"
"The stability of the solution is very good."
"The access it grants to wifi is the solution's most valuable feature."
"It's practical. It does what it needs to do."
"Very easy to use and can be managed remotely."

Cons

"The solution should be able to support more users on the access points."
"The tool needs to enhance its security features."
"There is an issue with flooding to the Aruba access point on the ports."
"The support offered by Aruba is slow."
"Embedding a heatmap tool within the product would make it easier to conduct a wireless survey."
"Aruba Instant is a simple and scalable solution that works well, but the costs you incur from access points could be cheaper."
"There is a problem in the preferred portal access points when I'm using the portal."
"The restart time should be improved."
"Initial integration with the cloud was problematic."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I rate the product’s pricing a two out of ten."
"It's a one time cost, including the upgrades, but you have to pay on a yearly basis if you want support. The price is in the middle in comparison to that of competitors' products."
"The setup cost varies based on each organization's requirements but it is within reason."
"It is not expensive. Its price is fair. You get many features with the normal licensing. If I look at Cisco, it is very expensive if I need similar things."
"I would rate pricing six out of ten."
"In terms of costs, Aruba Instant is cheap because it doesn't require a license, but you'll incur charges for the access points. Access point charges could be more affordable."
"The solution's pricing is reasonable."
"I rate the product's price a five on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive."
