Has supported hybrid IT environments effectively and offers strong data protection
With Arcserve UDP, the most valuable feature is to improve persistent data, which I consider important. I use other products too, not only Arcserve UDP, as we use TrueNAS as well. Arcserve UDP improves the precision of data. I have utilized Arcserve UDP's data deduplication feature, and the data deduplication feature helps my storage efficiency significantly. I have used Arcserve UDP's continuous data protection. It is beneficial for operational continuity because we use it constantly and have no objections to Arcserve UDP technology; I think it is very good. Arcserve UDP's integration with multiple operating systems is very good and very efficient. This brings value for me since many of my clients have different operating systems like Windows and Linux; there is no problem. Regarding the deduplication and compression with Arcserve UDP, I think Arcserve UDP is still a solid solution that we primarily use.

An affordable product that offers a reasonably good technical support
I rate the product's initial setup phase an eight on a scale of one to ten, where one is a difficult setup phase, and ten is an easy setup phase. The product's installation phase took me around two weeks. On average, it usually takes about a week or two to deploy when everything is in place. The solution is deployed on a hybrid cloud from Azure.

"I proposed and set up DR and HA solutions for customers who are high profile and in need of business critical functionalities."
"The standard backup and restore feature is most used."
"Arcserve UDP's integration with multiple operating systems is very good and very efficient, which brings value for me since many of my clients have different operating systems like Windows and Linux; there is no problem."
"The interface is very refined, works fine, and is very intuitive most of the time. Scalability is nice. The multi-tenancy feature is very welcome. The integration with Linux works fine too."
"This product is extremely user-friendly and it is capable of performing large-scale archive/backup (five+ years worth). It is easy to store, maintain, and check backups."
"The ROI is very good because of the speed of the backup, so our IT staff don't waste time doing unnecessary work and can set up and focus on other tasks."
"The ROI is very good because of the speed of the backup."
"Nutanix can converge legacy-style rack mount servers, so it is highly scalable."
"I like the autofill-over feature and the simplicity of the solution."
"Nutanix Mine Integrated Backup is useful for those who run an infrastructure where there might arise a need to do some transition or want to opt for digital transformation."
"Nutanix, in my opinion, will eventually take over."
"We use this solution as an integrated backup solution and it is integrated from the backup provider to the Nutanix solution."

"Nutanix has its own backup system known as HYCU, as well as its own virtual server."

Cons

"We are looking at scaling up to the cloud and using immutable copies on the cloud. Arcserve UDP 8.0 does have the immutable feature supporting AWS, but I'm looking for multi-cloud support. So, I'm waiting for Arcserve to release that in the next release."
"Bad. They delay completing the analysis of a problem and absence of contouring solution for unresolved problems."
"The product requires too many VMs as intermediaries."
"The reason for this is that the support network for Arcserve appliances is not available in most of the countries outside USA or EU to replace broken units in less than 15 days."
"We used Arcserve as a backup solution, but it wasn't very flexible."
"The solution's reporting could be improved and should provide customized reports."
"I had an issue with Arcserve UDP during the failover and the secondary machine didn't get back online, even though it ran automatically. I faced the issue during a crisis situation. However, I haven't faced such a problem again."
"The technical support was horrible. That's why we switched."
"This solution could be improved with regards to the hosts that integrate with the platform itself. Each of the hosts integrated with the storage and networking only provide one instance of a backup."
"The price of the product is an area of concern where improvements are required."
"The solution could be cheaper and they should include more education or marketing materials for users to understand how to use the solution."
"I would like to see the multi-cloud improve."
"Nutanix is not secure enough, and it needs to be more resilient."
"The solution's setup process should be simplified."
"The pricing could be improved. It's an expensive solution."
"It could be cheaper."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"In comparison to other vendors, it is a low-cost solution."
"There is an annual license required for this solution and it is priced well."
"Its price seems reasonable. Its price is average as compared to the other products I've looked at. We have a three-year license right now. There are no other costs beyond the standard licensing fee."
"I do not work with the pricing or licensing issues of the solution for our organization."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing a four or five out of ten."
"The solution is very expensive."
"The solution is not very expensive, but it is not cheap."
"We only have the maintenance of three standard UDP licenses. Each license is 50 Euro. There are some additional costs for the storage and software but it has nothing to do with the UDP."
"While Nutanix Mine is extremely expensive for small businesses, it is a very cost-effective product for enterprise businesses."
"I rate the pricing a five out of ten because the price is average."
"Nutanix Mine Integrated Backup is fairly priced."
"On a scale of one to ten, where one is affordable or low, and ten is expensive or high, I rate the price as two."
