Migration to cloud eases management but needs better support for high I/O operations

What is our primary use case?

I primarily use Google Cloud SQL to migrate our on-prem databases onto the cloud and maintain them due to the managed service. It reduces the management impact on our side in terms of managing databases.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature for us is the Postgres on Google Cloud SQL since it supports most of the features we need. Compared to MSSQL on Google Cloud SQL, there are several features unavailable in MSSQL. For example, changing core features like the time zone is difficult after setting up the server. In PostgreSQL, those challenges are minimized.

I recommend Google Cloud SQL for any industry with specific relational database requirements. I suggest it for both small and large businesses. I am not a partner or reseller of Google and MongoDB; I provide consulting to customers who use Google Cloud or MongoDB in specific instances.

Google Cloud SQL is easy to start with and allows me to scale as needed, which is advantageous from a developer perspective. It offers a no-brainer option for development and release solutions. 

From a database management perspective, it provides services without the need for me to worry about backups, scaling, or other operational issues. Automated scaling is available to enhance performance when traffic increases, making it a reliable choice.
