| Team Lead Manager at Blue Pill Ltd | 5.0 | As resellers, we see our customers in enterprise settings, especially chemical companies, valuing FortiWLC for its security features and seamless WiFi. Its stability and ease of use are beneficial, though a price reduction would help with large-scale implementations. |
| IT Products and Services - Senior Account Manager at PANOU S.A. | 4.0 | I find Fortinet FortiWLC high quality with good stability and excellent support. However, its configuration isn't simple, and the high price for features means I may soon seek more cost-effective alternatives like Huawei, as it's becoming less valuable. |
| Senior Network & Security Engineer at a tech services company with 51-200 employees | 4.5 | I find this solution very stable, scalable, and easy to set up, with excellent priority support and competitive pricing. My main concern is the weaker signal strength compared to other brands like Ruckus, preventing a perfect score. |

We are resellers of FortiWLC, and our customers mainly use it in enterprise settings, particularly for chemical companies.
FortiWLC is valuable due to its security features and the seamless WiFi experience it provides. Our customers benefit greatly from the security aspect, especially since they are already using Fortinet for Firewall services. The security features are crucial for their requirements. The stability and ease of use of FortiWLC also add to its effectiveness.
Until now, I have not observed any issues. However, for massive implementations, Fortinet should consider reducing the price to make it more affordable.
We have been using and selling FortiWLC solutions for approximately six months.
I rate the stability of FortiWLC nine to ten. It is very stable.
We currently sell FortiWLC in small quantities, so we have not explored its scalability. However, if needed in the future for larger rollouts, we may explore these features.
I rate the support from Fortinet as ten out of ten. It's excellent.
Positive
The initial setup of FortiWLC is very easy.
Our customers have observed efficiency in terms of security, leading to cost savings.
I cannot disclose the license price, however, I recommend Fortinet reduce its pricing for massive implementations.
I recommend FortiWLC for those interested in cybersecurity solutions. It is highly effective in meeting those needs, and many people can use this device.
I rate the overall solution a ten out of ten.

We are using Fortinet FortiWLC for internet connections as part of our network.
The most valuable feature of Fortinet FortiWLC is the overall high quality.
Fortinet FortiWLC is not simple to configure when compared to other solutions. The design could be better.
I have been using Fortinet FortiWLC for approximately three months.
The stability of Fortinet FortiWLC is good. However, I have only used the solution for a small amount of time.
We have approximately 50 people using this solution in my organization. We do not have plans to increase the number of users of this solution.
We have used the support from Fortinet FortiWLC. We opened a ticket to Fortinet support. They have good support, but it was a simple issue that we had to be resolved. They responded quickly and with a correct answer. We contacted them during regular business hours.
I rate the support from Fortinet FortiWLC a five out of five.
We have used many other solutions, such as Ubiquiti and Alcatel-Lucent. The main reason we switched to Fortinet FortiWLC was because of the value for the money.
The initial setup of Fortinet FortiWLC is not complex but the process could be easier. Other solutions are more complex. It took us approximately three hours to do the configuration.
We did the implementation of Fortinet FortiWLC in-house. We have someone who supports the solution.
The price of Fortinet FortiWLC is high. The solution will be out of the market for us because the price is too high for the features it provides.
I have evaluated Huawei and they have aggressive pricing in the market at this time.
Fortinet FortiWLC is a good option for those looking for this type of solution. However, the price of the solution tends to increase over time and soon it will not be worth the price. There are better and more options on the market now.
I rate Fortinet FortiWLC a
We primarily use it in the context of a university.
The security within the access point and the controller is the solution's most valuable aspect.
In terms of pricing, they are very competitive in the Philippines.
When it comes to technical support, we were given top priority support on some issues and have been happy with them overall.
The solution is stable.
It's easy to set everything up during implementation.
The solution can scale.
During the implementation, I have had several problems. There were issues handing over the user to the other access point during our roaming. However, this has been addressed before.
One thing that is lacking is, compared with some other brands, the signal is a bit weaker. Ruckus, for example, has much wider signal coverage.
The management and reporting could be improved. It would be nice to use the access points to locate users.
I've been a system integrator and have experience with Fortinet since 2013.
The solution, for the most part, is very stable. Right after they addressed some issues on the firmware, it became very stable. There are no bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash or freeze.
It's scalable. One thing that we encountered, however, since we're using the firewall as the controller, we had some problems on the initial sites when deploying. What we did in the latter part was, we used the firewall as the controller only for around 4000 users, 200 access points.
Technical support is very helpful and responsive and we are happy with the level of service we receive.
We were on priority support from Fortinet during the deployment period. When we called the hotline, it's a top priority and it was great.
We are also familiar with Ruckus.
The initial setup is very easy. It's not overly complex or difficult. A company shouldn't have any issues setting it up.
I can handle the initial setup myself. I do not need the assistance of integrators or consultants. That said, we did have priority support from Fortinet during the implementation period.
The pricing of the product is very reasonable and appropriate for the market. We are based in the Phillippines and we do not find it overly expensive. It's my understanding that we've been given special competitive pricing.
I'm a Fortinet implementor.
I'd rate the solution at a nine out of ten.
If the signal was stronger, I would rate it higher.
I'd recommend the solution to other users and organizations.
