We work with clients to sign subleases and addendums for their lease and their residence and program requirements, and I send those forms to them through DocuSign.
DocuSign provides digital signatures with features like secure handling, customizable templates, and document tracking. | Manager, Supply Chain at a manufacturing company with 51-200 employees | 4.0 | I primarily use DocuSign for approving and routing documents, finding its approval features and history valuable for efficiency. I want more training to discover other features, rating it an 8. My advice is to train staff up front. |
| Business Process Management Engineer at a financial services firm with 1,001-5,000 employees | 4.0 | I appreciate DocuSign's workflow for configuring and sending documents for signatures, allowing for sequential or simultaneous signing. However, accessing support can be challenging for African businesses. I previously used a Nintex product as an alternative. |
| Product development senior manager at Joudcoffee | 4.5 | I use DocuSign primarily for signing rental agreements digitally and find it secure, stable, and easy to set up. The pricing is reasonable and the technical support is helpful. I haven't used other solutions but could benefit from enhanced security. |

We work with clients to sign subleases and addendums for their lease and their residence and program requirements, and I send those forms to them through DocuSign.
I appreciate that I can see when they've viewed the document, when they've signed the document, and the status of the document, which is probably my favorite feature in DocuSign.
The security aspect in DocuSign is important since we work with individuals and their personal identifiable information, so we value that it's a secure site.
With DocuSign being within our organization, we can join in and create templates for other programs, including our sister program, enabling them to utilize those templates. This creates more cohesion across teams, and we're able to use standardized templates. The shared access means not every person has to work independently, and we can assist each other when needed. The streamlining process allows us to put documents in a packet to send through DocuSign, requiring only one signature instead of multiple signatures.
I find the new updated formatting and template system in DocuSign problematic. When I format and create content in their new updated system, the preview looks different from what I see during editing. I must take manual notes to adjust page breaks, add or remove content because it formats completely different between preview and editing screen. When moving content from Word, the formatting doesn't remain consistent. I preferred the classic editor. While there is a Word add-in that could potentially alleviate this issue, I don't have access to it due to system administration restrictions. This is my biggest challenge, making template creation more time-consuming than necessary.
In DocuSign, when I have signatures on both the left-hand and right-hand side of the page, the spacing should remain consistent. Currently, they overlap when signed, forcing me to create a new line item for each signature, which unnecessarily lengthens the document.
I have consistently worked with DocuSign for the past two years, though I've used it intermittently for longer than that.
I've never noticed any crashes, downtimes, or performance issues with DocuSign; whenever I've needed to access it, I've been able to.
I do not use workflow automation features in DocuSign and have never customized any workflows within my environment.
I have not had the need to interact with DocuSign technical support or customer service team.
Neutral
We only used Adobe before DocuSign.
Onboarding with DocuSign was straightforward for me personally since they provided access to a login, and I completed all the setup independently.
DocuSign has provided some measurable benefits. I've seen cost savings since setting up my sister team, as they no longer need to print documents or sign manually. However, regarding time efficiency, while sending documents back and forth is faster, the formatting issues prevent optimal time savings in template setup and distribution.
Our IT team handles all pricing aspects, including setup and licensing costs for DocuSign, so I don't have information about these details.
We haven't evaluated any other options or solutions before continuing with DocuSign, as it was already being utilized by a different program, and we chose it to create consistency across the team.
I exclusively use DocuSign on desktop, and it expedites our process of sending documents. We can track when documents are viewed and signed, and they return to us immediately without back-and-forth communication.
I recommend utilizing DocuSign University and learning various aspects of the program, as I believe there are features I haven't yet discovered. They provide training videos that could be beneficial for those who struggle with the platform.
I rate DocuSign a seven out of ten.

DocuSign is used for electronic signature and approvals. For the vendors, we are in SOC and NOC support, and when a NOC and SOC comes up or anything comes in, we handle all those signs using DocuSign.
When I open DocuSign, the first thing I do is make the PDF, upload the PDF, then place the signature fields and initial date and text box, and assign the signers who are going to sign the order, as well as send for signing it using the web or mobile app that we use. It is basically for the people to have it on their documentation.
The scope of this is a team-wide workflow because people are working with it.
The best features of DocuSign are its usability. While it is pretty expensive if used for a small team, if it is used for a full organization, then it is acceptable; it is very overkill for a small team.
DocuSign has impacted my organization significantly, as we are using it on a day-to-day basis, so everything that is coming up is signed using DocuSign.
DocuSign has changed how my team works together as we can collaborate via web because it is pretty easy. We can send that document, modify it, and it can be reviewed by our manager to ensure that everything is in a good place. Once it is done, then we send it to the client to sign it.
The biggest friction point or frustration I have encountered with DocuSign is minimal. It was pretty easy to use as it came up really fast and easy programming, and the API is also available, so even our developers can use it.
There are no features I wish it had that it does not do today.
If I could change one thing about DocuSign, I would not change anything about it. It is easy, and the main purpose that it is solving is there: the document signing and third-party vendorship.
I have been familiar with DocuSign for one year, and I have been working with it.
Before we landed on DocuSign, we were using Adobe Sign.
When we were evaluating options, we considered Adobe Sign, but we moved towards DocuSign because it was suggested to us by one of our vendors as well as clients.
When we first implemented DocuSign, it took around thirty minutes maximum to get up and running because we were using Adobe Sign previously, so it was pretty much the same.
Our team found it was pretty intuitive to pick up without needing formal training.
My advice for someone considering DocuSign with a similar workflow is that they should see that the pricing and the team enterprise is not for a small team. For bigger teams, it is there, and they should see if they are going to use APIs or not. If not using API, then they can definitely go for Adobe Sign. However, if they are using APIs and the developers are using it, and the third party or vendorship program is there, as well as sending documents on a daily basis, then DocuSign is the right solution for them.
During implementation, there were no features that came up that we are not actually using.
To put some numbers to that, per day we are signing around three to four documents, less to less, so we are using DocuSign to send our clients any sign that is there as well as anything that comes up for SOC or NOC or any POC that has come up with the third-party vendor that is there.
I would rate this product an 8 out of 10.

My main use case for DocuSign is signing my documents and addressing some incidents involving DocuSign phishing attempts.
When I open DocuSign, the first thing I do is sign documents, which I do rarely and only when needed. I signed my internal company joining documents via DocuSign when I joined the company.
The scope of that is a team-wide workflow.
From my perspective as a user, the best feature of DocuSign is that it makes signing documents much easier than it appears.
DocuSign has impacted my organization positively by making it easier to sign company documents, and signing documents digitally is far easier with DocuSign.
The biggest friction point I have encountered with DocuSign is that I would implement MFA or some kind of verification mechanism while signing documents with DocuSign so that I can eliminate phishing incidents.
On a scale of one to ten, I would rate DocuSign nine out of ten, primarily because I have seen multiple incidents regarding DocuSign phishing attempts. The MFA implementation would help improve it further. To someone implementing DocuSign, I would recommend improving email security and DLP policies to ensure that your organization is protected from phishing with DocuSign.
I have been familiar with DocuSign for about one year.
Before I started using DocuSign, I was using nothing.
I was not a part of implementing DocuSign, so I cannot comment on that.
My team found DocuSign pretty intuitive to pick up, and we did not need any formal training.
Adoption has gone well, with generally everyone in the company using DocuSign.
DocuSign has not changed how my team works together or how we collaborate; it remains normal.
I would rate this product nine out of ten overall.

DocuSign is an online platform, a SaaS tool, that helps us organize a repository for moving contracts and other professional documents. If there are e-signature requirements, along with repository generation and storage capabilities, we have the option of connecting it to the e-signature functionality. This gives us the flexibility of having documents both in the repository and getting e-signatures appended to them, along with different approval choice steps and review processes.
DocuSign has excellent security features because there are different types of layers that can be applied to the security for a particular document based on user processes or group processes. If there is a need to apply security to be viewed by a particular set of users, we have the flexibility of restricting the document for those users. We can archive documents whenever needed in the system automatically. The system can automatically understand that it's a production environment and can be connected with SSO tools or one login tools, which gives us the flexibility where only exact vendor details can access the system.
The most prominent industry integrations I have seen are Coupa integration and Salesforce integration because these are SaaS tools. For procurement needs and details for a particular company, it will be either in the Salesforce environment or the Coupa environment. We have direct compatibility there. For Coupa, they are still building on that, but we are at a stage where we can connect the Coupa environment with DocuSign along with the customized HTTP connectors that DocuSign provides. For Salesforce, they have a direct connector which helps us gather all the information from different objects of Salesforce.
For example, with non-NDAs or NDA templates or contracts that need to be signed by external employees or vendors, and there is a requirement that it needs to be viewed only by the set of directors in the system, the same document can be restricted so that only directors have visibility. From a restriction point of view, you can make a document so restricted that it can only be viewed by the person who tries to do that. If there is banking information that has been generated and signed by the vendor or merchant, and we want to store those documents in the system, we can add security on top of it with restricted visibility.
DocuSign has two different platforms directly involved in this process: DocuSign eSign and DocuSign CLM. DocuSign CLM and e-signature are segregated based on functionality. If there is a need for processing data required for creating document generation templates or forms needed for user inputs, these can be configured in DocuSign CLM. The platform provides the flexibility of generating templates from the form data. After template generation, we can set securities and provide different functionalities using the workflows embedded in the system. There are customizable workflows and advanced workflows which developers can utilize to configure user needs or business needs.
The DocuSign CLM platform can be directly integrated with the DocuSign e-signature platform, which enables documents or contracts to be e-signed by vendors. The document along with the signature certificate can be stored in the CLM environment along with the e-signature platform.
DocuSign is currently able to cater to almost 95% of user needs in terms of contractual documents, propagation, storage, signature process, and additional requirements. They have provided significant flexibility in integrating the DocuSign platform with different kinds of SaaS tools where data can be fetched from or sent through.
The IAM tool they are providing is good, but there should be flexibility in terms of importing IAM or AI generation reviews into the normal workflows while generating documents and creating templates. DocuSign still needs to offer more built-in integration tools such as the Coupa connector. They already have many integrations, such as Google Docs and Google Drive, but some major ones are still in the pipeline.
Scalability, in terms of the workflow structure and maintenance, needs improvement. If the workflow becomes heavy, the system slows down, requiring consultation with the team to get the workflow load relieved. System availability should see fewer crashes or server errors.
I have been involved with DocuSign for around six years.
I have worked with many clients where the user base was substantial. In terms of workflow scalability, we have seen it reach paramount levels. It is highly scalable.
The customer service has been amazing. The moment you log a priority ticket, they will directly get into a call, and the support team with the technical specialist will assist with whatever issues you are facing. From the technical support end, they have been exceptional and always on point.
Positive
I have worked with Adobe e-signature and utilized Oracle's solution. However, DocuSign has been performing exceptionally well in comparison.
The ROI is substantial. While it does not get calculated directly, in terms of working hours, the time saved per contract is significant. On a per-hour basis calculation, there has been an excellent ROI in terms of usage. If the system handles around 100 contracts per month in a particular season, that would provide a substantial ROI. For mass scale operations with numerous contracts, the ROI is particularly impressive.
The pricing is almost reasonable. It depends on what features we are using. The e-signature and CLM pricing is almost reasonable, though not perfectly reasonable.
DocuSign comes into play and provides flexibility to automate manual processes, ensuring clear visibility of document status, storage location, current owner, whether it's the legal person, approval person, or directors. During the signature process, we get clear visibility of who signed the document, when it was signed, and where it was stored afterward. These automations provide significant advantages where proper guidance and governance are present.
Recently, DocuSign has introduced IAM (Intelligent Agreement Management) system where they provide different AI tools and reviews. This helps provide more flexibility in reviewing contracts and handling bulk contract reviews. These AI-related advancements have been really beneficial.
If any company is considering DocuSign, they should definitely opt for it. If budget allows, they should consider the IAM features, which come with a different pricing range and package. Even without the IAM feature, DocuSign provides almost 95% of excellent features for document management and e-signature functionality.
On a scale of one to ten, I would rate DocuSign eight out of ten.
My main use case for DocuSign is approving documents and routing them through for approval.
When I open DocuSign, typically the first thing I'm doing is uploading a document and then assigning approvers.
I am running solo in this workflow.
The best features of DocuSign are approving documents and record history, and those are the ones I use the most.
DocuSign has definitely impacted my organization with efficiency gain; it's much faster and easier to get approvals than routing documents manually for signature through email.
DocuSign has made everything a lot faster and more efficient for how my team works together and collaborates.
The biggest friction point I've hit with DocuSign is that I would like to get more training on it; there may be other features that would be helpful to me. I think if there were some more videos or on-demand training that show the additional features of DocuSign, that would be helpful.
At the moment, I cannot think of anything I would change about DocuSign.
I have been familiar with DocuSign for probably three to four years.
Before I landed on DocuSign, I was using wet signatures.
When I first implemented DocuSign, it was implemented by our quality team, but it didn't take long to get up and running.
My team found it pretty intuitive to pick up DocuSign without needing any formal training.
The adoption of DocuSign has been across the whole company.
Pretty much everyone is using DocuSign the same way for approving documents.
On a scale of one to ten, I would rate DocuSign overall an eight, and my advice to someone considering it who has a similar workflow to mine would be to get training.
My advice to someone considering DocuSign who has a similar workflow to mine would be to train the staff up front before rolling the implementation out. I would rate this review an 8 overall.

I like the workflow. It enables us to configure the envelope and send it to multiple people for signatures. We can structure the signature. The users can sign the document in a particular order or all at the same time.
The support is not accessible sometimes to African businesses.
I have been using the solution for four years.
I've not had any issues with the product’s stability. The service is top-notch. I rate the stability a ten out of ten.
I rate the solution’s scalability a nine out of ten. We can easily increase the tool’s capacity. We can also increase the number of envelopes at any time.
The setup is seamless. The product is deployed on the cloud. Once the licensing part has been taken care of, we can set up the product in less than three hours.
The tool is expensive. Many clients in Nigeria cannot afford the solution due to the exchange rate. If the vendor can create a pricing package that is flexible and suitable for our currency, it will be really helpful. The billing should consider local currency.
I used a Nintex product before.
I will recommend the tool to people who are not from Nigeria. Overall, I rate the product an eight and a half out of ten.
I primarily use the solution for signing documents digitally. We do a lot of rental agreements, for example.
The solution is pretty secure. It's one of the most secure options.
You can do the signing of documents online and don't need to be there in person.
It is easy to set up.
It's stable.
The solution is reasonably priced.
Technical support is helpful.
I don't have any improvements in mind.
I could always use better security around the solution.
I've been using the solution for about a year. I haven't used it for that long just yet.
It is stable and reliable. There are no bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash or freeze. I'd rate the stability nine out of ten.
I don't use any scalable features. I use it personally. I don't try to extend it. I only use it for myself. I do not have plans to increase the number of users.
I've used technical support assistance once. They are helpful and responsive. I am happy with the level of support I received.
Positive
I did not previously use a different solution.
The solution is straightforward to set up. It's not complex at all.
I basically use the solution. I don't do any application deployments.
The solution is free to use for personal use. If you need to use it for bigger use cases, then you pay. My understanding is that the cost is quite reasonable.
I am using the latest version of the solution.
I'd recommend the solution to others. It is very secure and you can use it on the cloud.
I would rate the solution nine out of ten overall.
I occasionally use DocuSign for vendor agreements, although I prefer to outsource such tasks since it happens very rarely.
The most valuable feature of DocuSign is its ability to save time. Before, agreements would end up with my CFO, and we would have to print them out. With DocuSign, we don't have to do that anymore. Additionally, everyone needing a copy can get it immediately, so there's no need to chase after it.
I found it a bit annoying in DocuSign when it came to moving the boxes around. It would be helpful if there were more AI involved to assist with positioning them correctly during the setup of sending an envelope.
Moving the boxes around can be a bit annoying, so the AI element in the UI should be significantly improved to make the process smoother.
I have been using DocuSign for three years. Also, we implemented it three years ago in our company and then changed it a year and a half ago. So, I don't know about the version. My company is a customer of DocuSign.
Stability-wise, the product seems fine.
Every salesperson in the company is required to sign deals, but the sales desk team utilizes DocuSign to sign the deals brought in by the salespeople. Any document requiring a signature, such as an NDA document, needs to be processed through the sales desk team. Typically, the team comprises around five people salespeople can approach to get their required signatures. We follow this process in our company so that the sales team can focus on selling, not admin-related work. Around fifty people from the sales desk and HR team are using the solution.
I have contact with the solution's technical support team. Since the help I received from the technical support was a bit mediocre, I rate technical support a four out of ten.
I contacted the technical support team after securing their number online. However, I reached out to the wrong department because later on, I realized that our company had a better support package. After that, it took some time for the technical support team to figure it out. Hence, I feel that the technical staff wasn't competent enough.
Neutral
The initial setup process of DocuSign may vary depending on the extent of implementation. If you only implement basic features, it may not be as complex. However, if you decide to go all the way in, including contract management and everything else, it becomes a different beast altogether.
I believe that the solution is deployed on the cloud.
Since there are many solutions like Adobe Sign and HelloSign other than DocuSign, I would tell those planning to use the solution that they can choose from a range of solutions depending on their requirements. Though it is a good product that is very pricey and can be considered to be one of the most expensive tools out there in the market, I rate the overall solution a seven out of ten.
We primarily use the solution for electronically signing documents. It's for organizational purposes. We also use it for local purchase orders and contract signing. It's also great for approvals for time off vouchers.
It helps get documents through the approval cycle.
It is flexible.
You can customize how you want to use the solution.
It can accommodate a lot of user requirements.
The solution is very user-friendly. Even new users find it very easy.
The solution is stable.
It's scalable.
The initial setup is very easy.
We'd like to have some integration with some of our IT services. We need it to integrate better with our other departments. We'd like it to work with some of our ERP systems.
I've been using the solution for two years.
The solution is stable and reliable. There are no bugs or glitches.
The solution is scalable. I'd rate the ability to scale eight out of ten.
Right now, all of our staff use it quite often. There are more than 100 people using it.
We do not have plans to increase usage. We do not have long-term plans to keep using it.
We do not use technical support. Whenever we have an issue, we notify our tech person, and he reaches out. My understanding is that he gets immediate support.
We'd used other solutions such as Business World and Oracle.
We're considering other solutions that likely offer ERP. Currently, this product serves our purposes.
The initial setup is very easy. It's not complex. Even new users wouldn't have issues with the setup.
The deployment is very fast. It doesn't take too much time.
You simply choose the signatories, add the attachments, and click send. It's a very easy process. It only takes a few seconds to upload items.
We do not need any technical staff for deployment.
I can handle the deployment on my own. I do not need assistance.
We have witnessed a good ROI. It makes our processes more efficient. It was especially effective during the pandemic when everyone was working from home.
We do pay to use the solution. We pay for the license annually. We do find it a bit expensive. Payments fluctuate based on the number of transactions we have. There are no extra fees.
I'm not sure of the exact version I'm using.
I would recommend the solution to other users. However, it depends on their use case and how they want to use the product.
I'd rate the solution eight out of ten.
My primary use case for this solution is for signing documents relating to tenancy and mortgage.
What I have found to be the most valuable aspect of this solution is the fact that I don't have to go out and meet the other party in person. I can just take care of what I need to online.
I would like for this solution to send me a copy of the signed document automatically.
I have been using this solution for about 10 years.
I would rate the stability of this solution a 10, on a scale from one to 10, with one being the worst and 10 being the best.
I am the sole user of this solution in my company.
The initial setup was quite straightforward as you just open the document and sign it and you're good to go.
I have seen the ROI when it comes to this solution.
I would recommend this solution to other people. I think this is a safe option.
I would rate this solution as a whole an eight, on a scale from one to 10, with one being the worst and 10 being the best.
