Cloud human capital management (HCM) solutions have become a standard for human resources teams. However, choosing the right one for your company can be challenging. That’s why at PeerSpot, we asked our users which cloud human capital management tools are most popular for human resources professionals.
PeerSpot users responded, and according to their reviews, the three most popular solutions are SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, and Oracle HCM Cloud. Read on to find an overview of each solution and what real users think about them.
SAP SuccessFactors
SuccessFactors helps organizations manage employees’ performance, aligning strategies with solutions.
Best features
An HRIS manager at an engineering company says SAP SuccessFactors is a “Stable solution with automatic interlinking and reporting features”. The most valuable feature is the interlinking and posting between HR and payroll modules. Another valuable feature is the project module system.
“The process for long modules needs to be improved because compared to how it's done with a competitor (Meta4), the competitor's process was simpler. I don't know if it's because we didn't buy the business intelligence module, or because the reporting tool in SuccessFactors is cloud-based. It's always limited and you need to build your own sophisticated report layout outside.”
“To explain one feature that I would like to see in SuccessFactors, I must describe a similar feature as seen in Oracle. In Oracle, there's a feature called Workforce Prediction, and with this feature, we can predict some of the behaviors of any employee.
Workday
Workday is a cloud-based software solution specializing in developing applications for finance management. The system keeps users updated and helps them manage internal career-related information. The Workday model delivers a system with a single source of data and security model. It is user-friendly and integrates into a central system.
The same user says there is room for improvement in that "The finance module of this solution is not great and needs improvement.”
A senior consultant at a financial services firm says: "I would be happy if it was faster. Currently, when I try to navigate within the solution itself, it is a bit slow in terms of the page load time. When I click on something, it usually takes time to load. When you click on different icons or areas on the website, it is slow. Even when you navigate between different models, it is a bit slow. I would like to see a bit faster performance and a better user experience."
Oracle HCM Cloud
Oracle HCM Cloud is a complete HR platform that helps organizations manage human resources processes, from finding, developing, and retaining talent, to enabling collaboration, delivering insights, and increasing operational efficiency.
Best features
An HR lead of citizen services says the best features of Oracle HCM are that it is an “Easy to set up and easy to scale HCM solution; offers good data integration and technical support. I find Oracle HCM Cloud very useful for gathering data or information, with its best benefit being data integration. I also like that it manages query scripts and distributes the information.”
Another user, an associate consultant at a tech services company, says Oracle HCM Cloud has a “User-friendly interface, plenty of modules, and good support.” Their use case is recruitment on the cloud.
What features do they consider most valuable? “The valuable features of Oracle HCM Cloud are the frequent updates, if there are any discrepancies, we consult with our record directly and they come up with the solution for the betterment of the cloud. The user interface is easy to use, has plenty of modules available, and the overall solution is user-friendly.”
What can be improved?
The HR lead of citizen services feels that "Product integration, particularly with collaboration tools, is lacking in this solution."
An account manager at Qualogy says that "The absence management can use some improvement. Due to all the flexible working, the part with work schedules could be a little bit more flexible."
Another user, an associate consultant at a tech services company says the support also has room for improvement: “I rate the technical support of Oracle HCM Cloud an eight out of ten. There is some room for improvement,” he says

If you don't currently run Workday HCM then you can cross Workday ATS off the list as you need the foundational Workday HCM to run ATS. If you do (which I suspect) then you need to determine what is the better fit organizationally. From an integration perspective Workday ATS negates any need for integrations. SmartRecruters or any 3rd party ATS like iCIMS or Lever or Greenhouse or ClearCompany will require an integration if you want to do it right. Determine if your TA team wants to do a full RFP review and see if the 3rd party tools feel better. Workday ATS is fine. but 3rd party tools are a bit more feature/function rich. It's a function of candidate/recruiter/hiring manager experience or ease of implementation/management for the HCM/HRIS team.
