A fully integrated powerful tool for managing businesses and providing seamless integration with internal systems
I would rate the initial setup of Oracle iStore as easy. The deployment process typically takes about three months, with five phases covering various aspects like Oracle requirements, solution deployment, cloud integration, and pricing. We have about twenty people dedicated to maintaining Oracle iStore, with roles including network engineers, cloud network specialists, systems administrators, and business management.

In my view, SAP Commerce Cloud can be improved as it currently feels too heavy, with customers nowadays expecting solutions to be deployed in months rather than years. This is the most significant issue with SAP Commerce Cloud, which caters primarily to Fortune 500 companies and falls short for mid-sized businesses. I do not have a clear idea on which specific feature they should implement to better serve the smaller business market, despite their several past attempts. Regarding potential improvements for SAP Commerce Cloud, I am not the best person to discuss deployments as I lack a DevOps background. However, I believe the primary enhancement should be in their vision and communication of product benefits. Personally, I have found SAP salespeople to be less friendly compared to their Salesforce counterparts. Their inflexibility regarding discounts and offers might be an area for improvement.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I appreciate Oracle iStore for its simple implementation and user-friendly interface. It has positively impacted our business processes by integrating seamlessly with internal systems like finance and logistics, enhancing efficiency across different areas of our operations."
"SAP Commerce Cloud enabled them to deliver features much faster and build more digital native experiences, which everyone is waiting for."
"In SAP Commerce Cloud, I find the integration and the back-end part most valuable because they can be easily integrated with the SAP product catalog and CRM and so on."
"The user interface can be customized."
"Overall, a request time of two to three months is a very efficient time for creating the E-Commerce session to go live."
"Through the ability to consolidate disparate knowledge repositories either through synchronous asynchronous, API batch, synchronization or other custom methods, I can disseminate as much or as little data through the widest variety of channels."
"With the click of few buttons with your mobile device or with your notebook or laptop you can purchase the products at your home."
"We work on B2B projects, and it is the most efficient software solution for B2B."
"Hybris offers a platform designed for speed."

Cons

"I find Oracle iStore to be beneficial overall, but there are areas for improvement. Specifically, I'd like to see better SQL implementation and support for training and integration issues with other solutions that are not compliant."
"The solution is complex due to the rapid development of new features in SAP Commerce, which requires the changing of older technologies and migration to new ones."
"The main issue for improvement with SAP Commerce Cloud is the UX/UI and the fact that it's difficult to change it because of technical constraints, which makes it insufficient as it currently exists."
"Sometimes it's slow in accessing products. Also IMPEX upload was complex."
"The support team should improve the response time."
"Like every other SAP solution, it is very heavy. Also, the transition to the cloud is not very smooth because it is not really a SaaS solution. The upgrades are also not as smooth as you would expect from a complete cloud solution. It should have a product recommendation feature as well as a promotional feature. It should also have more personalizations."
"SAP Hybris does not employ the latest technologies. For example, they still use GSP, Tag Files, an older version of Java, no microservices, and no Amazon Web Services."
"SAP Commerce needs to have a credit limit like Salesforce. Currently, we have to do the coding and customization and then showcase it to the user."
"Tighter integration with SAP (more OOTB tools for integration)."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The product is expensive. I would rate its price a seven out of ten. The solution's licensing is yearly."
"The solution is very expensive in Turkey."
"SAP Hybris is expensive, which is why only the large clients use it. At the same time, I think that the return on investment warrants it."
"I don't know the cost, but it can be expensive."
"This is an expensive solution."
"The price is quite high."
"The price is too high."
