Pros
"The most valuable features are all the promotion capabilities and the tiered-pricing capabilities.""The features that help us to change the product and pricing are good. They give us enough flexibility to manage this application.""The tool's most valuable features are its integration with various scanners, OCR capability, and ability to populate the system with a lot of information. We use the workload automation feature occasionally.""The merchandising part is where the business user adds and configures permissions, which is quite important for us."

"The most valuable feature of Salesforce Commerce Cloud is the frequent updates. There will be a significant increase in the look and feel. You will be using the solution and think you might want a new feature to be added and then when they release the next release it is there. There are constantly improving the solution.""The filters are very useful, and easy to customize. it's very easy to operate.""The features that are core to Salesforce including documentation and the variety of integrations available are most valuable.""I wouldn't say they have artificial intelligence, as it's not really AI, however, the data analysis that they provide to you is good.""The implementation team can customise the implementation to customer needs.""The pipeline and lead management features are the most valuable.""The ease of customization is valuable.""Stability-wise, I rate the solution a nine out of ten...Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a nine out of ten."

Cons
"Oracle has a cloud solution, but some on-prem features are not available in the cloud version.""So far, with Oracle ATG, I haven't seen any good cloud-based solutions.""One drawback is that the tool could be more agile in adding new features. Since the product is very big, new features aren't added continuously. However, it already meets most of our requirements for day-to-day use.""There should be some sort of native integration. All the integrations that we build are completely customized. There should also be a mechanism for user surveys and product reviews. As of now, I don't see any feature related to these. It must have a provision for doing customer surveys and allowing customers to give product feedback. If I have a customer who purchased something on the website, there has to be a mechanism for a company to capture the feedback. This feature is currently not there. Similarly, if a customer wants to do a review of the product, there is no native feature for that."

"If your organization has a nonstandard or niche business model or audience, the fast nature of the solution may not be a good fit.""Salesforce Commerce Cloud could improve overall customization. Having a template deployment would be a useful feature.""The solution is expensive.""The dashboards for this solution could be improved.""There could be more product integration in the ERP space.""Multi-tenant infrastructure is a blessing and a curse.""Pricing is a disadvantage because it is expensive.""Needs better access to code and customizability of the solution."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Oracle ATG is an expensive solution."
  • "The product's pricing is moderate. We use a license module."
  • More Oracle ATG Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "There are no significant upfront license costs."
  • "Initially when we installed Salesforce, we thought that it was a bit pricey, but I think for the value that we're getting, it’s suitable."
  • "The licensing works on a per-user basis."
  • "Salesforce is not a cheap solution."
  • "The licensing of Salesforce Commerce Cloud is something that will depend on the customer's usability. For us as a company, we are in a position where we will be paying the premium for licensing. If we go to the customer who is seeking a B2C solution quickly, we will definitely look at the pricing when it comes to the user base and receive good discounts. Discount is something that depends on the volume and that is where we need to work on. It is a little sensitive market when it comes to licensing procurement. There are some good competitors."
  • "The pricing is fairly reasonable."
  • "I don't know how much the solution costs per user, but I know it's our biggest cost in the company."
  • "I give the price of the solution a three out of ten."

The platform helps businesses ensure relevant experiences to their customers at each touchpoint of a customer’s purchase journey (including the web, contact center, mobile devices, social media, physical stores, and more). Thich helps to increase sales and ensure a seamless buying experience. The solution can be implemented on premises or hosted by Oracle or a third party and it also runs on one of three application servers, including Oracle WebLogic, JBoss, or IBM WebSphere.

Oracle ATG Web Commerce is made up of three platform layers:

    1. The Dynamo application framework (DAF)

Scenarios are time-sensitive, event-driven campaigns designed to manage interactions between site visitors and content over a long period.

    • Payment integration support: Oracle ATG eCommerce supports various payment gateway integrations, which includes credit card, PayPal, or any other payment mode. The code can be customized to any payment method you want.
    • Application server support: Oracle ATG’s eCommerce applications are built on the concept of component-based model. It supports most of the major application servers, like JBOSS, WebLogic, and WebSphere. The component model is implemented using JSP and Java Beans, which are easily and widely used.

    Reviews from Real Users

Below are some reviews and helpful feedback written by PeerSpot users currently using the Salesforce Commerce Cloud solution.

A Senior Consultant at a computer software company comments, “The most valuable feature is the lead matrix that Commerce provides, which helps us to filter out the leads. It also filters out the companies that are right for us and need to target. The visualization is very good. It's not confusing. If you are doing an analysis on your Commerce, It's very easy. The filters are very useful and easy to customize. It's very easy to operate. The user-friendly interface is better when compared with other CRMs. For everything that we have used this solution for, we have had the best experience.”

PeerSpot user Syed B., Salesforce Solution Architect at Systems Limited, says, "It has a customizable checkout experience, customizable homepage, everything can be customized. The stability is very, very high. SFCC is a leader in the world."

Divs C., Salesforce Solutions Architect at Kcloud Technologies, mentions, “Salesforce offers the best features and functionality which are developed and refined over many years to provide a highly customized e-commerce experience. It is mostly for clients who are more into e-commerce, so they go for the Salesforce Commerce Cloud because, the best part is, you don't have to develop everything from scratch. Salesforce Commerce Cloud has seamless upgrades. Since the platform is SaaS, Salesforce continuously rolls out many new features in the background. These are available through an administration panel and often with minimal or no technical intervention needed on the client-side.”

Joaquin A., Salesforce Programmer at Freelancer, explains, “Multi Language support means that this product will operate in English, Chinese, or whatever language is required. The translation feature is available, depending on the region, and it is quite useful for me as well as my customers. The development capabilities are very powerful, which is what my customers know and why they buy this product instead of something else. There is a good community of developers for the platform. With respect to customizability, you can do whatever you want. You can integrate with other solutions and put everything in one place.”
