Real-time alerts have reduced server outage impact and support fast incident response
In the dashboard, if they could show a little more metrics regarding the application and related things, that would be how New Relic could be improved. Currently, there are things showing from the server level and application level, but it can be improved. That is what I felt. Regarding user interface, I do not feel much concern, but for some kind of issues when we are trying to get support from the New Relic team, their SLA seems to be long. They are taking seven to ten working days for resolving some kind of scenario or issue. That is a bit difficult for us. If they could improve the customer support by reducing their SLA within three to five days, if they could remediate everything, that will be so much helpful. When it comes to the customer support part, I felt they need to be a little more improved on that part. The support overall is good, but they can improve. That is the reason I have given it eight out of ten.

High performance, quick setup, but lacking ease of use
Some of the functions could improve by making them easier. There is room for improvement when it comes to the graphs provided by the software. Additionally, there seems to be an issue with the ping status, as it sometimes indicates that a website is down even when it is functioning properly. It appears that there are certain aspects related to cache management or other backend functionalities that are unclear. The time range graph and overall user interface could be more user-friendly. For example, when selecting a custom graph for a specific time period, clicking on it should open the corresponding website in a new tab, but instead, it displays the current graph. This lack of consistency can be frustrating when trying to navigate the interface. Furthermore, the reports shared on a weekly basis arrive one week late, reducing their usefulness. Overall, some extra efforts are required to make the user experience smoother and more efficient.

Pros

"To receive all the metrics for each system regarding its application, the user in the interface for all the dashboards can type the hostname and can see all the tools in that host, it is a very powerful view."
"It supports our Black Friday week, when our requests increase about 500 percent."
"The APM feature is highly valuable as it can record session hosts, usage, and diagnose customer behaviors."
"New Relic is the best choice because the product has good dashboards, scalability, and environments."
"It's industry-leading, the most responsive full suite of tools that I’ve used."
"This is a really awesome tool, giving you in and out of your entire backend framework in a cohesive manner."
"The most valuable feature of the solution is its ability to execute queries and analyze the data."
"If someone reports an issue we’ll always go to New Relic first; that’s where it becomes a good product in and of itself."
"One valuable feature is real user monitoring."
"There are alerting mechanisms in place to let us know, for example, if a device is not responding to a ping test and is probably not going to work."
"One notable feature of this software is its page speed setup, which is highly commendable. Additionally, the metrics it provides are also impressive."
"My advice to anybody who is considering Pingdom is that this is a good product at an affordable price."
"Once you set the threshold on your environment, it feels very real-time"
"Overall, this is a very good product and one that I recommend."
"The most valuable features are monitoring and reporting."

Cons

"The thing missing from these platforms is connectivity."
"New Relic can get pricey for larger organizations."
"The product has good documentation for Linux, however, their documentation for Windows is lacking substantially. It's something they need to develop."
"Some of the 3rd party plugins could be improved - especially the requirement for java to monitor simple network services is not ideal."
"The agents are updated quite frequently, but New Relic doesn't offer tools for doing the upgrade in large environments."
"I would like the ability to set up certain dummy accounts and do the actual things that the customer is doing, without impacting the production environment."
"The mobile application monitoring has been pretty difficult to set up and also quite expensive."
"I would like to be able to invest less time in IT and ad hocs. We should be concentrating on other issues."
"Pingdom is always improving everything in its product. So, they should work on the GUI."
"Some of the functions could improve by making them easier."
"Technical support could use some improvement."
"I would like to see better integration with other products."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The price of the solution could be less expensive. You have to pay a lot for each user. There is an additional cost for extra features."
"There is a picture which goes to your browser and it monitors requests from other users. However, it's impossible to use now because the price is very high. The feature is very nice, but I tried it during the trial period, and the current price makes it impossible to use."
"The pricing could be better. We did not purchase the full version. Maybe if we applied all the other features of the full version of New Relic, we could get all the features that we feel are missing."
"The price of New Relic could improve. It is expensive."
"It would be nice if we could buy it annually instead of monthly."
"Purchasing through the AWS Marketplace was easy. The product is easy to deploy and manage, which is why our company purchased through the AWS Marketplace."
"This solution required a license and it is better than some other competitors."
"If it’s the right tool, it doesn’t matter what it costs because you’re going to get it back many-fold from your productivity."
"This price of this solution is reasonable."
"While I wouldn't describe it as excessively expensive, if you require specific and reliable monitoring, SolarWinds can be a suitable option. The advantage is that SolarWinds offers a free version as well. If you don't heavily rely on its monitoring capabilities and are content with its basic features, the free version could suffice for your needs."
"The license was paid yearly and included technical support."
