Responsive support, a straightforward setup, and great endpoint management
There have been a few bugs. I would hope there would be a direct integration to the various cloud solutions, like Intune. Right now, ManageEngine is a separate solution. It doesn't integrate with Intune, AirWatch, or MobileIron in the cloud. It doesn't have this integration with the respective cloud solutions, and if it could have this kind of integration, it would be better. I wouldn't deploy ManageEngine as a standalone since it works better as a compliment rather than an entire solution.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"For the servers, you have 24/7 unattended access, and for the clients, it may be 24/7."
"LogMeIn Central allows numerous active clients, say... 50, to use licenses for remotely accessing a computer from home, taking advantage of all the solution's built-in security features."
"I like the encryption and security of LogMeIn; I think the end-to-end security on it, in and of itself, is really good, and I use the two-step login system and it's great."
"Provides remote access, allows me to get inside our network to be able to fix problems."
"The biggest thing is remote access, to be able to get inside our network to be able to fix problems."
"It is convenient for my workers to be at home, therefore, it is easier for them as their second job to do the work, that is a plus, and I improve productivity."
"For me, it's convenience because I cover three different offices, and I need to be able to remotely access any of those three offices from anywhere, anytime. With LogMeIn Central, I can do that."
"This solution has allowed granular permission access to machines, very consistent and solid most of the time."
"The endpoint management is great."
"Easy to manage and it looks good."
"ManageEngine Desktop Central MSP has helped the way our organization functions."
"The endpoint management is great."
"The most valuable feature was the patching system to apply Windows or other programs and the ability to install operating systems in computers using the network, and additionally it is easy to use."
"The interface is intuitive, easy to use, and has a low learning curve."
"The big ROI is that I'm getting a secure environment, which saves time and effort on dealing with disasters."
"This really is a great tool that works well both on-premises and in the cloud, with a nifty feature for demilitarized zone deployments."

Cons

"It is easy to get locked out, which is something that needs to be improved."
"I have had issues where LogMeIn has not been useful, then we have not been able to work that day. This happens probably two or three times a year."
"They should provide intermediate device limit options for the users."
"Cost. It's probably worth the value, but the price increases over the last five years are getting harder to justify."
"File transfer on the free version needs improvement. Allow file transfer with drag and drop to and from Remote Desktop."
"The client could have a bit more functionality, as some changes can only be made through the web interface."
"File transfer on the free version needs improvement. Allow file transfer with drag and drop to and from Remote Desktop. "
"I recall that there was something about the pricing structure that wasn't ideal, but I cannot recall the exact details."
"Since this is an on-premise solution we had to update it a couple of times, and because we needed to use a command line to the server, it was not very easy, at least at that time to update the solution."
"Although they say it is an enterprise solution, we don't have 24/seven human support. All we have is only 24/five support available from the vendor."
"When there is a new user at a store, for example, you have to create it in the ManageEngine Desktop Central MSP AD but the process could be better. They call us with the user's information but if it was possible for them to populate the information when they log the user on IM, and when clicking on ADManager in the system, the information could populate there. We would then only have to add a little more information which would save time."
"Since this is an on-premise solution we had to update it a couple of times, and because we needed to use a command line to the server, it was not very easy, at least at that time to update the solution. The cloud version of this solution does not have this problem, but on the premise version, it was fairly cumbersome to apply to the Desktop Central server. This process could be made easier. This was the only issue I found with my colleague."
"There have been a few bugs."
"Right now, ManageEngine is a separate solution. It doesn't integrate with Intune, AirWatch, or MobileIron in the cloud."
"The partnership models and subscriptions can be improved, as regional master resellers sometimes hog the space."
"The stability is sometimes negatively affected by updates."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It's getting more expensive and we are starting to evaluate other products. It's starting to become unaffordable."
"It is a little pricey. I have more than five seats, so I pay a $1000/year."
"The price needs improvement. It is ridiculously expensive now, and no features have really changed."
"We are an educational institution, so anything to make it cheaper would be better because we don’t grow money on trees."
"It sucks that I am paying for LogMeIn Central, LogMeIn Pro, and LogMeIn Rescue, plus LogMeIn Ignition, which is the mobile app. It costs me a lot of money every month at LogMeIn. "
"The price is a little high but it's competitive. The licensing process is fairly easy."
"I complain about the price all the time. It's gone up from relatively inexpensively to, right now, about $2000 a year for me, based upon the number of machines I have. You say $2000 is not that bad, but the price has jumped up significantly over the past few years. They went three or four years without any price increases, and then they did a dramatic increase, three or four times the annual fee, two years in a row. But last year and this year it has been pretty stable."
"We've been trying to nail its cost down ourselves, and it is a disaster in that area because you get different numbers all the time. They say this is what it is, but the numbers don't make a lot of sense to me. I know that the numbers change. So, the more you have, the less they are per seat, but I don't really understand where those breakdowns are. Its billing is confusing. It is definitely the worst part. For 7,500 seats, it might be between 2,250 and 2,700 a month. It is somewhere in there."
"When we sold the solution to one customer, we found out the customer found out that one of their requirements was not being solved because the license only applies to five computers. We all thought at the time the current license that the customer bought covers the 600 computers because of this problem, the license model could be explained better and could be further improved."
"This product has an easy setup, good support, and a good price."
"ManageEngine Desktop Central MSP is a less expensive solution than competitors in Latin America."
"This product is very cheap compared to others."
