Integration capabilities and reporting functions enhance workflow efficiency
The primary issue I have observed is that when JD Edwards World is installed, it involves a shared architecture between the development, test, and production environments. This setup should be avoided. Additionally, Oracle should integrate some AI features into JD Edwards World but not rely entirely on AI due to potential disadvantages, such as increased electricity consumption impacting global warming. Improvements are also needed in tech support, specifically in response time and quality.

Implementation simplifies ERP management with comprehensive data integration and visibility
A lot of people would say the pricing. SAP is seen as quite expensive even now. It doesn't work for smaller or medium optimizations. The licensing and pricing could be looked at. In Brownfield migration, the trade-off between greenfield and brownfield means you either keep it clean or match the business requirements. Sometimes, it's not possible to do both. While ValixAPI provides significant support in making those decisions and the SAP consultant is very useful, we are still dependent on past history and how it was originally set up. I wouldn't call that a real disadvantage, yet more accessible consulting would be beneficial. Incorporating all other cloud products, like APO or IPP, into the S/4 house might also help.

Pros

"I rate JD Edwards World as an eight."
"Collecting data in standard formats for processing in a data warehouse."
"JD Edwards World supports operations in manufacturing and distribution, which are crucial for our organization."
"It has worked fine for many years."
"The pricing is okay. It's not overly expensive."
"In my use cases, JD Edwards World offers flexibility in listing capabilities."
"JD Edwards World is a good ERP with high security from the application design."
"I think JDE ERP is very flexible and very convenient for the users. I think EnterpriseOne is more convenient for users to do the inquiry and do the data entry. The UI is better than JDE World. For JDE products, including the World version, is very flexible. It's a good product for clients."
"S/4HANA is so much faster today than it was before. High performance is one of the best features, but the backbone of S/4HANA is its integration capabilities. They've also shifted to a focus on user experience."
"SAP offers specific functions related to my data use case."
"The performance of the solution is excellent."
"I have found the user interface very modern and it has simplified many user jobs, such as the embedded logistics. They have introduced central finance which has been a benefit."
"The speed of executing reports has increased significantly. We no longer need day-minus-one business processing."
"It's reliable and the performance is good."
"SAP S/4HANA is a comprehensive ERP solution that provides better performance."
"The features that I find most helpful in my day-to-day operations with SAP S/4HANA are primarily related to data management. Real-time data analytics has significantly enhanced decision-making processes by providing instant insights into business processes and trends. The user experience with the SAP S/4HANA interface has also seen notable improvements, particularly in terms of a more friendly and personalized UI."

Cons

"There is no support from Oracle here. We only have third-party support."
"World is old, so everybody is looking to just upgrade or migrate from it."
"The user interface in JD Edwards World is very crude; I press a button to get to the application, unlike EnterpriseOne, which offers a more finished experience with dashboards."
"The flexibility and ability to integrate external applications are increasingly vital."
"Its end of life is already announced, so I don't expect lots of improvement coming from the product anywhere anymore."
"Improvements are needed in transitioning JD Edwards World to a more stable and reliable cloud product, particularly in terms of GDPR and data privacy compliance."
"Update interface capabilities and data maintenance tools to modern standards."
"The interfaces need to be more user-friendly. For example, our purchaser had difficulties updating prices as it required updating line by line."
"There could be a bit more competitiveness in their licensing and pricing."
"An area for improvement would be integration with different kinds of legacies. In the next release, I would like the product to be prepared for blockchain technology and the best way to communicate with social networking."
"It could be improved by focusing on user-related challenges, as end users might face certain difficulties."
"I have found the solution to be stable but it could improve."
"The theory-side of the solution needs to be improved."
"SAP S/4HANA needs to bring a feature that allows a great quantity of data compression"
"Extensions to SAP S/4HANA have room for improvement, especially in integration with low-code/no-code platforms. Creating these extensions through Fiori transactions is more tedious than customers would like. Although the SAP build process has become more linear, further improvements could provide a huge benefit."
"Technical support has been declining. They aren't as responsive as they used to be."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The price of JD Edwards World is reasonable. Since it is a legacy solution the price has been reduced."
"You have to pay for a license, and the license cost is calculated based on the number of users you have."
"The pricing for JD Edwards World could be more affordable."
"The price of the solution is reasonable but some modules can be expensive. When comparing SAP S4HANA to other solutions, such as Oracle, it is not expensive."
"I don't think any company would find the product expensive"
"Licensing costs are not transparent"
"I rate the pricing a ten on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is too expensive. It is an expensive tool."
"Though we are talking about a competitively priced model, the pricing could be more cost-effective."
"The solution's pricing depends on customers and how much discount they can get. However, the list price is expensive."
"Licensing works on a subscription model for the cloud version and it's a one-time fee for the on-premises version."
"Pricing is one area where S/4HANA has room for improvement. It's too costly for many people. They have come up with"
