Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"iServer has valuable features for workflow and document management.""The initial setup is easy.""The solution is easily modified to suit your needs.""iServer is a solution that helps catalog enterprise architect solutions and catalog information.""We like the governance.""Tech support is very responsive. They solved issues within a prompt response time.""The solution has wide use within Microsoft products. The integration with Microsoft products, and, in particular, Microsoft Office, is great.""Good and effective reporting features, which help in decision making."

More iServer Pros →

"The most valuable features are mainly the reporting side of things and the dashboard.""I like the integration with the Office tools such as Visio and Excel. The integration with Excel helped us to be able to upload data very easily. Integration with Visio helps us to be able to make changes once and have a centralized diagram. We don't have versions of the diagram. This integration with the Office tools is very useful."

Cons
"There can be some performance issues using the solution that should be improved. When you make modifications modify to files there are embedded data within that can take a while to process.""There are other solutions out there that have a better user interface.""Enhancing integration options with ERP or ITSM-related solutions for triggering automated requests for process definitions, changes, and tracking them in the iServer.""It definitely needs help to improve the visual aspect of the solution.""Requirements management needs to be improved.""We could allocate permissions to use only specific components to the users rather than the entire instance.""The one issue is that if you want to import predefined work, you need to put the licensing model in. So if you wanted to import work that was done before, you then need to buy a separate product for that.""There could be features for process mining, process simulation, and analytics."

More iServer Cons →

"We found a few issues with importing data and all the manipulation of data, especially when it came to the BI side of things because it utilized a particular template to be able to get certain reports. The user administrators could not manipulate it to get the right reports.""The refresh cycles for our dashboards could be better. I keep complaining about that. The refresh is supposed to be once a day, but I would love it if it was real-time so that if I make a change to the data in iServer, I should see those changes immediately reflected in the dashboards. They use Power BI, and it seems they've scheduled their refresh to be once a day, which is not that good for us."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Aim for the exact number of people who shall define/review approve and view the processes, as it will impact the cost."
  • "It's about 13K to set up and 9K for the license for three months. I think it's about 20K a year, but we haven't firmed up on pricing yet because the price depends on how long we commit to the solution."
  • "The price of iServer is reasonable compared to other solutions."
  • "They offer annual subscriptions for developing countries, which are not affordable for small or medium businesses."
  • "The product has a moderate pricing."
  • More iServer Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "The licensing is on a yearly basis. We currently work with a standard fee."
  • "It was very cost-effective as compared to the other ones we evaluated. We spent about $20,000 per annum for support and license together. There was also an implementation fee at the beginning. I would rate it a nine out of ten in terms of pricing."
