Centralized features have simplified deployment and improved day-to-day network management
One of the best features of HPE Wireless WAN is Wi-Fi Direct, as it provides dual-band frequency and helps to connect Bluetooth with IoT devices. I am comfortable with this feature and find it beneficial for connectivity. I use centralized management features such as WLC. They have improved operational efficiency significantly. It is one of the best tools we have for centralized management because it is easy to manage, manually delete, and create sites. This makes it easy to implement policies across the network. I see measurable benefits from this centralized solution, which is quite easy to handle as people are comfortable managing the tool. Users do not need hardcore technical expertise to operate it on a day-to-day basis, making it quite comfortable.

Reliable Wi-Fi deployment handles extreme conditions and reduces maintenance
The only bad downside to Ruckus Wireless WAN is that the guest network is poorly conceived. This is a known issue. There are ways to make the guest network work reliably, but not as promised. That's the only downside to Ruckus Wireless WAN access points - they have a weak guest system and guest portal, but everything else is the best of the best. If I did not have access to Ruckus Wireless WAN support, I think I would have failed. One downside they have now is that you no longer have access to the support folks without a contract. That has changed over many years. That would be really unfortunate because I remember struggling. The company was very hungry at that point and they were very willing to help. Now support requires a contract. That comes with all growing companies.

"The solution is easy to use."
"It is a good and stable solution."
"The simplicity of the configuration process is very useful to us, the visibility of the management is great, the features are excellent, we find the security to be very good, setting up the solution initially is very easy, stability has been great so far, users can scale the solution if they need to, and technical support is helpful."
"HPE Wireless WAN provides reliable connectivity."
"It's easy to use."
"The performance is good and it is easy to use."
"The WiFi and high scalability are the most valuable features."
"As a technical person, I find that Ruckus is one of the most stable products I have experienced."
"The solution is sufficiently secure and easy to use."
"One of its notable advantages lies in the superior performance of its antennas and radios."
"The deployment access in the local system is about 200 access points. External access points is more. The number is huge. There about 1,000 users in total."
"The most valuable feature is the ease of adding an access point."
"It's highly scalable as long as the licenses are in place. You can expand it easily."
"In my opinion, Ruckus is the best wireless company."
"The most valuable features are the ease of deployment, the coverage that it offers, and the reliability."

Cons

"Technical support is appalling."
"The solution works smoothly unless more than twenty users connect to a single access point, at which point it becomes overloaded."
"The installation is easy. However, my implementation is complicated and you would need special training to complete it."
"It's very old-fashioned, which is why we have made the decision to replace it."
"The price of HPE Wireless WAN should be reduced."
"The scalability is good, but it could improve."
"The HPE Wireless dashboard could be more user-friendly."
"Technical support could be improved. They could respond a bit faster."
"I would like to see Ruckus focus less on creating lower-tier solutions aimed at competing with inferior brands."
"In my region, I want to increase its distribution channel. We have one sole distributor here in our region. To have multiple distributors here would be very helpful to improve the supply chain. We need better access to stock."
"The overall management of the solution in general needs improvement."
"They could include a firewall feature in the next release but even there it's not really necessary because if you have a wireless solution you have a firewall and all the network components."
"The interface has to be more automated."
"This product needs a point-to-point, bridge solution."
"Ruckus Wireless WAN is overpriced. Compared to others at the moment, Ruckus Wireless WAN does not have many valuable features."
"Ruckus Unleashed App has areas with certain shortcomings where improvements are required."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"There is a license for this solution and the license is normally paid annually but this depends on the contract."
"If you are concerned with your budget, then you can go for the cheaper model."
"We don't pay a licensing fee, we purchased the product."
"I find the price to be reasonable."
"Customers pay for HPE Wireless WAN based on the contract. It's usually paid yearly. There's an additional cost, particularly for the hardware."
"The license cost of the product falls under the category of a moderately priced tool."
"We have been satisfied with the price."
"Price wise, it is on the medium end of the scale. It could be lower."
"Sometimes they sell it for Rs.20,000, and other times, they sell it for Rs.30,000. Then, suddenly, they ask for Rs.70,000. There should be a tiered pricing structure based on the quantity. We understand that if you buy more, the price should be lower, and if you buy less, it may be higher."
"The solution is very competitively priced."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing a six out of ten."
"This product is worth the money that is spent on licensing fees."
"Licensing for Ruckus Wireless WAN when you compare it to other vendors, it's on par and not expensive. For me, all licensing is expensive by default, but you do get lifelong licenses, and what's cool about it is the license for Ruckus Wireless WAN, especially on the LAN controller, is not linked to an access point. It's just a quantity access point deployment, so you can rip out old APs, and put new ones in and they'll work on the wireless LAN because the license is not linked to a specific access point which is much easier to work with."
"Compared to big brands, the tool is quite competitively priced."
"The cost is quite high, and over the past year, there has been a substantial increase, nearly reaching around seventy percent."
"I rate the tool's pricing a seven out of ten."
