A good solution for network monitoring and support management, but there is no centralized database
There is no centralized database. It is an issue if you use a local database and have multiple borders. However, if you have an external database, you can keep the same old data from an old border up to 100 borders. In addition, if we want to create an ABI or use an ABI to connect data, there is no competition when we ask for support. If we want to modify the calculation matrix or equation, we have to raise a professional service. Other competitors like Micro Focus, a network management system, have a new supportability matrix in the market every quarter.

Proactive monitoring has transformed digital experience and now optimizes application delivery
With ThousandEyes, there are some configuration and metric screens that are not entirely intuitive with ThousandEyes, so they can certainly improve in terms of the usability of certain metric screens. ThousandEyes can also offer deeper traffic insights relative to specific applications, so detailed analytics on application-level traffic would help in better understanding and managing our network resources effectively. I would say that ThousandEyes can also, in terms of providing more extensibility with other observability tools, offer more out-of-the-box integrations with other observability tools so that ThousandEyes can serve as that single source of truth, so that we don't necessarily need to go to other tools to be able to be that one-source dashboard. I think there's a lot that ThousandEyes can continue to improve on there. The issues that I've talked about, including extensibility with other platforms and the improvement of accessing specific metric screens in order to be able to provide for fuller access and more detailed access to network-level metrics would make the platform feel less complicated to navigate. It wouldn't require as many manual integration inputs.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Event management and the geographical Google API-based network topology are the most valuable features of Entuity."
"I particularly like the theme and the dashboard that they have brought in this version. In the previous version, there was only a simple screen. There wasn't any dashboard. It was a simple view, but now, they have brought in a dashboard that gives the fields for the ops as well. They can get the data they want to see in a single place."
"The initial setup of Entuity is easy and the full process took approximately 30 minutes."
"This is a very user friendly solution, that is good for user access, allowing deep dives into devices, system performance and more."
"Entuity's best feature is its ability to monitor a large number of devices."
"I would encourage others to use Entuity, as it's powerful and user-friendly."
"This is a product that is easy to deploy and maintain with a positive end-user experience."
"One of the most valuable features of Entuity is the user interface."
"I think the analysis service that Cisco provides is extremely valuable."
"Overall, I would rate ThousandEyes nine out of ten."
"The most valuable aspect of the solution was the ability to see how the connection quality is between the sites and get an alert if it was turning bad."
"From our perspective, ThousandEyes stands out as an invaluable tool because of its deep and extensive capabilities."
"The solution's initial setup process was straightforward...In terms of ROI, the solution is worth the money."
"For me, all the features are great and make ThousandEyes stand out among other observability products."
"ThousandEyes has positively impacted our organization by enabling us to know if a third-party hosted application isn't functioning properly, allowing us to determine what's actually going on and whether the issue lies on our side or with the application provider."
"With ThousandEyes, it's one click or one place where I can see all of my public prefixes, how long it takes, when the last update was, where a route was missing from the internet, or is it actually causing a black hole."

Cons

"The configuration of the logging could be improved because if someone deleted any note or inventory, or some change to the inventory, we are not able to identify which user or which administrator modifies these details. For example, there should be read-only locks on maps to prevent their deletion. This way people can only read and cannot delete that particular map."
"Entuity can improve the fetching of device configuration. The solution uses scripts and I could not understand them or find any recourses on the internet to learn about the language that is used in the script. It could be more user-friendly and the device configuration management could be enhanced."
"Entuity currently has APIs, but they are not straightforward. They are not flexible if an external system wants to communicate with Entuity or create an integration that is not available out of the box. Its APIs can be flexible so that they can be utilized for external integrations that are not available out of the box."
"A typical user might want to see even more depth to the standard reporting and ease of integration."
"We would like the backup element of this solution to be improved as, at present, it is very limited and does not have much scope for customization."
"In the most recent versions, Entuity has removed the Explorer navigation feature. This was very useful, and Entuity would be improved by restoring it."
"Entuity currently has APIs, but they are not straightforward."
"Entuity could improve by having more integration because now network management is not a standalone solution. You have to integrate it with your network, applications, and everything else. We have to collect that information from those solutions or relevant managers. Additionally, the SLA dashboard should be improved."
"It might be practical to extend monitoring capabilities to include network devices"
"I chose eight out of ten because of the lack of objective performance data."
"I would like the product to offer more agility."
"ThousandEyes should expand its application monitoring to monitor some communication applications."
"It's an expensive solution."
"ThousandEyes definitely has differentiators versus the peers in the space, as there are other tools that are a bit more user-friendly to configure, especially around enterprise agents; for example, when upgrades are required, it sometimes needs a complete de-installation and re-installation of a newer version, which leads to a bit of administrative overhead from time to time, but overall, it has been an excellent product."
"We can show the traffic path in some cases, but it's almost impossible to do so in cloud networks like CDN, Akamai, or Microsoft."
"Cisco is the standard for anyone wanting something good, the problem with it is the cost and that means that it's not accessible to many smaller companies."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We have 400 licenses and we are only using 150 licenses."
"It varies and depends on the quantity. It's worth the cost."
"Entuity is not an expensive solution."
"Entuity's licensing is very highly-priced."
"It can be comparatively expensive but that is because it is comprehensive."
"The solution costs several thousand dollars per year."
"The solution is cheap."
"In our company, we incur a yearly expense in our company for the licensing part. I rate the solution's pricing a seven out of ten since it is expensive."
"The solution's pricing is cheap; I rate it a five out of ten."
"It is a quite expensive solution."
