We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The most valuable feature is the analysis, because of the beta structure.""The product's initial setup phase is very easy.""The ease of deployment and configuration is valuable. It's very easy compared to other vendors like Sophos. Sophos' configuration is complex. Fortinet is a lot easier to understand. You don't need a lot of admin knowledge to do the configuration.""Fortinet has helped free up around 20 percent of our staff's time to help us out.""The main thing is that I feel safe. Because the processes that have been used to get a handle on the attackers are much better than other competitors""The product detects and blocks threats and is more proactive than firewalls.""It is stable and scalable.""This is stable and scalable."

"It is a very stable solution, making it an excellent product.""They offer the whole package. Remote monitoring and management (RMM) is included with it, which is pretty nice. They also have Windows patching and third-party patching. It was easy to use for protection. The containment engine was pretty nice for securing our environment.""Auto Containment is a valuable feature.""The most valuable feature is the management of end-user machines.""Containment is the best feature of the solution.""The tool is an open-source EDR with antivirus features. It also has remote support and patch management.""It really protects and does its job. It totally blocked every attack attempt, and no attack attempt was successful.""The product’s valuable feature is the remote control station."

"The most valuable feature is data loss prevention.""It's easy to deploy.""Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten...Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.""The most valuable features of Sophos EPP Suite are the detection capability, machine learning, ransomware protection, and live response.""The most valuable feature is the central administration and management.""The solution efficiently protects the servers for our customers.""If you want something simple to work with, Sophos makes it very simple for you to use.""Sophos EPP Suite is a powerful antivirus."

Cons
"The amount of usage, the number of details we get, or the number of options that can be tweaked is limited in comparison to that with other EDR solutions""Once, we had an event that was locked and blocked, but information about it came to us two or three days later.""We've encountered challenges during API deployment, occasionally resulting in unstable environments.""We've had a lot of false positives; things incorrectly flagged that require manual configuration to allow. Even worse, after we allow a legitimate program, it sometimes gets flagged again after an update. This has caused a lot of extra work for my team.""FortiEDR could add a separate scanning dashboard. In incident management, we prefer to remove the endpoint system from the environment and scan the system. We typically use Symantec for that, but if we want to use FortiEDR for that, then we need a scanning tab to clarify things.""The EDR console should have more extensive reporting. You shouldn't need to purchase FortiAnalyzer. It should be included in the EDR part. The security adviser cloud platform could be improved with more options for exclusive or intensive rules for devices.""The solution's installation from a central installation server could be improved because the engineers had a little bit of trouble getting it installed from a central location.""I think cloud security and SASE are areas of concern in the product where improvements are required. The tool's cloud version has to be improved in terms of the security it offers."

More Fortinet FortiEDR Cons →

"They need to just modernize the infrastructure with something that is next-generation. We have recently moved to SentinelOne. It had been doing good for us for a while, but we needed something modern with new technology.""The solution's online documentation needs to be fine-tuned. It is not up to which solution currently has. There is some inconsistency in the knowledge present. I would like to see MDM in the solution's future releases.""Would be good to have a better understanding of what it is that you've got in quarantine.""The licensing fees are high. The company should work to try to lower them for the customer.""The quality of the analysis and the product dashboard is a bit low compared to other providers.""The menu could be cleaned up.""The product must provide a web filter to block websites based on specific categories.""There are a few minor issues such as package updates and passwords."

More Comodo Advanced Endpoint Protection Cons →

"In my country, having an on-premises deployment model is preferred. In this part of the world, on-premises is still the way many companies want to go. Therefore, they should supply some sort of option that allows for that reality.""The user interface is not responsive.""Sophos does not currently inform users of potential compatability issues with Windows updates.""The product should improve support and provide more scalable clustering.""The solution could improve in configuration and the central logging and dashboard.""The solution has a strange technical support process where you need to move through all of these tiers before you can get to someone who can help you. They should streamline the process and make it easier to speak to the correct level of support from the outset.""Configuring notifications is lagging a bit behind the curve as the product should be able to direct exactly where any notification type is sent.""The logging issues must be fixed."

    Reviews from Real Users

Below are some reviews and helpful feedback written by Fortinet FortiEDR users.

An Owner at a security firm says, "The features that I have found most valuable are the ability to customize it and to reduce its size. It lets you run in a very small window in terms of memory and resources on legacy cash registers. The customer has literally about 800 cash registers. That was the use case for Fortinet FortiEDR - to get that down into a tiny space. The only way to do that was to use this product because it had that ability to unbundle services that were a surplus.”

Chandan M., Chief Technical Officer at Provision Technologies LLP, mentions, “The ease of deployment and configuration is valuable. It's very easy compared to other vendors like Sophos. Sophos' configuration is complex. Fortinet is a lot easier to understand. You don't need a lot of admin knowledge to do the configuration.” He also adds, “The security is also very good and the firewall response is good.”

Harpreet S., Information Technology Support Specialist at Chemtrade Logistics, explains, "It notifies us if there's any suspicious file on any PC. If any execution or similar kind of thing is happening, it just alerts us. It doesn't only alert. It also blocks the execution until we allow it. We check whether the execution is legitimate or not, and then approve it or keep it blocked. This gives us a little bit of control over this mechanism. Fortinet FortiEDR is also very straightforward and easy to maintain."

DeAndre V., Senior Network Administrator at a financial services firm, states, “The dashboard is easy to follow and use. The deployment and uninstalling were easy. I like the detailed information about the path of a file that might be suspicious. Being able to check that out was easy to follow. Exceptions are easy to create and the interface is easy to follow with a nice appearance.

Comodo Advanced Endpoint Protection (AEP) delivers patent-pending auto-containment, where unknown executables and other files that request runtime privileges are automatically run in a virtual contain that does not have access to the host system's resources or user data.

Protect every user and every device from malware, spam, data loss and more with our Enduser Protection bundles. Only Sophos delivers best-of-breed endpoint, mobile, encryption, email and web security solutions licensed per user and backed by the best support in the industry.
