Gained full visibility and streamlined threat detection through behavior-based insights and AI integration
Initially, we got to have a lot of false positives when we onboarded, but nowadays it's quite smooth. We have fine-tuned our security policies and allowed different levels of policies to get rid of those false positives. Currently, we are getting a fairly good amount of incidents that are not false positives or benign, but actionable items. The process is streamlined. In the initial days, the operations used to get involved in a lot of benign and other activities, but now the process is streamlined. We are leveraging the auto-detection and remediation plans. The operations teams are now more involved in other business roles as well, not just looking into the logs and fetching out what's happening there. They have fixed a lot of things. Initially, they didn't have IAC code drift detection, cloud posture management, or security posture management, but they have those now. They purchased different vendors and did a merger with that. They have now Prisma Cloud that gets integrated and now they are working with Cortex Cloud. Everything that was negative has now been addressed, and the product altogether looks to be in a very better and mature shape now. Currently, it's more or less detecting the workloads with AI-based best practices. Since most organizations are consuming AI agents and other things, we are looking forward to seeing what other feature enhancements Palo Alto can support in that.

Remote Access Security Reinforced with Real-Time Device Protection
Dashboard customization is needed for improvements. While the centralized management is strong, the dashboard could offer more flexibility. It would be helpful to tailor views for different roles, such as IT or security support. Regarding needed improvements, custom report building could be enhanced. Current reports are informative, and a drag-and-drop builder would allow teams to create tailored views for compliance, executive summaries, or operational metrics. For further improvements, enhancing threat simulation and testing would be valuable. Building a threat simulation tool and adding native capabilities to simulate phishing, malware, or ransomware scenarios will help teams validate protection and train users without relying on third-party tools.

Pros

"The stability of this product is very good."
"The good thing about the product is that it's always scanning."
"We have a complete overview of all our PCs and it's very easy to handle and to use the interface. It has a lot of benefits for us."
"The most valuable features are the fact that it was running in the background and it would intercept any weird stuff, and the fact that it would send things directly to the cloud for sandboxing. It's quite practical."
"From a single pane of glass, you can easily manage all of your endpoints."
"Stability is a primary factor, and then there's the ease of distribution and policy management; Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks is very easy to work with, and we're quite happy with them."

"What I like about Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks is that it is a comprehensive solution that contains everything the organization may need when using endpoints."
"Check Point Antivirus ensures our organization's security posture by ensuring that everyone accessing the internet does so securely. It performs packet inspection, enabling all security blades to monitor and filter traffic constantly. This includes URL filtering to prevent access to unwanted sites and to protect against any attempts to compromise our network."
"What stands out to me most about the best features Check Point Harmony Endpoint offers are the data cost management features and strong policy that empowers user devices with central management and visibility."
"When we provision new laptops for remote employees, Check Point Harmony Endpoint automatically applies our security configurations the moment the device connects to the network, which includes anti-ransomware protections, firewall rules, and web filtering."

Cons

"It is not easy to sell Cortex XDR, not because it isn't a good tool. Its marketing needs to be improved."
"They've been having some issues with updating their endpoint agents, and it has been quite frustrating."
"The solution lacks real-time, on-demand antivirus."
"It takes time to scan the servers and devices."
"Palo Alto Networks Cortex XDR does not detect malicious activity like in other anti-virus solutions like Trend Micro and Windows with Cisco."
"Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks can improve mobile integration to allow access to the console."
"If he is using a smaller company, he can depend on some other tools because Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks is a bit expensive."
"I don't like that they have different types of licenses. For example, if users select a license, they think they will have all the platforms they need to improve their network or security. But after some time, Palo Alto Networks changed their licensing, and some of the features that, for example, were free at the beginning now have a cost. I think the integration can be improved. For example, a lot of tools are just integrated through APIs."
"One aspect that could see enhancement is the user interface."
"Mobile users are reluctant to actually use the solution."
"The agent's size is very heavy, so it could be reduced to a lighter version for Check Point Harmony Endpoint."
"They could improve memory consumption."
"We'd like them to include more learning-type notifications to users when detecting any eventuality or attack on their computers in order to educate them and teach them about this type of incident."
"Need more documentation."
"That said, it is important to integrate other solutions to continue innovating in the market."
"I would prefer it if this solution was cheaper for everybody to buy it and enjoy these wonderful and distinguished characteristics."
"The solution could improve by having more deployment methods."
"The inclusion of web filtering would be good."
"The deployment of the solution right now is terrible. We find it to be very bad. It could be improved enormously."
"The solution should allow the automation of playbooks."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks is quite an expensive solution."
"Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks is an expensive solution."
"The price of the product is not very economical."
"It is "expensive" and flexible."
"Our license will require renewal in August, after which the maintenance will continue as usual."
"It is present, but when compared to other competitive products, I would say it is not less expensive; however, when all of the other added values are considered, the price is reasonable."
"The price of the solution could be reduced. I have customers that have voiced that the solution is good for the value but if I want to sell more of the solution the price reduction would help."
"The price of the solution is high for the license and in general."
"Licensing comes free in that first year or is included in the base package. From a commercial point of view, it really just is the renewal cost, rather than a one-time fixed cost or buy-in."
