Integrates diverse data sources and streamlines ETL processes effectively
Regarding potential areas of improvement for Azure Data Factory, there is a need for better data transformation, especially since many people are now depending on DataBricks more for connectivity and data integration. Azure Data Factory should consider how to enhance integration or filtering for more transformations, such as integrating with Spark clusters. I am satisfied with Azure Data Factory so far, but I suggest integrating some AI functionality to analyze data during the transition itself, providing insights such as null records, common records, and duplicates without running a separate pipeline or job. The monitoring tools in Azure Data Factory are helpful for optimizing data pipelines; while the current feature is adequate, they can improve by creating a live dashboard to see the online process, including how much percentage has been completed, which will be very helpful for people who are monitoring the pipeline.

Real-time integration and seamless data synchronization enhance user experience
The stability of Oracle GoldenGate Cloud Service is one of its most useful features, although its performance is not too steady. It excels with bidirectional data synchronization. It supports diverse databases and platforms. We link the ODS with numerous source systems, including Oracle, Tarek Data, and Microsoft, with no integration issues. The solution caters to enterprise needs, fitting any organizational requirement, apart from data security issues common to cloud solutions. The cloud data security challenge is notable, necessitating solutions such as private cloud offerings to allay security concerns.

Pros

"Data Factory allows you to pull data from multiple systems, transform it according to your business needs, and load it into a data warehouse or data lake."
"The data pipeline and the orchestration functionality are the most valuable aspects of the solution, and the interface is very good, as it seeks to be very responsive and intuitive."
"What I like best about Azure Data Factory is that it allows you to create pipelines, specifically ETL pipelines. I also like that Azure Data Factory has connectors and solves most of my company's problems."
"Its integrability with the rest of the activities on Azure is most valuable."
"When it comes to our business requirements, this solution has worked well for us."
"The user interface is very good; it makes me feel very comfortable when I am using the tool."
"The data factory agent is quite good and programming or defining the value of jobs, processes, and activities is easy."
"The initial setup is very quick and easy."
"This has significantly eased the process of migration from on-premise to cloud. Instead of configuring everything from the ground up, the Oracle GoldenGate Cloud Service has made it seamless to build and render databases in cloud."
"It provides a good response for external microservices applications."
"Oracle GoldenGate Cloud Service is valued for its ability to replicate data in real-time, offering significant benefits from a data perspective."

"Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."
"GoldenGate's best features are the desktop security features."

Cons

"Areas for improvement in Azure Data Factory include connectivity and integration. When you use integration runtime, whenever there's a failure, the backup process in Azure Data Factory takes time, so this is another area for improvement."
"It does not appear to be as rich as other ETL tools. It has very limited capabilities."
"The pricing scheme is very complex and difficult to understand."
"Real-time replication is required, and this is not a simple task."
"They require more detailed error reporting, data normalization tools, easier connectivity to other services, more data services, and greater compatibility with other commonly used schemas."
"Areas for improvement would be the product's performance and its mapping of data flow."
"The main challenge with implementing Azure Data Factory is that it processes data in batches, not near real-time. To achieve near real-time processing, we need to schedule updates more frequently, which can be an issue. Its interface needs to be lighter."
"There is always room to improve. There should be good examples of use that, of course, customers aren't always willing to share. It is Catch-22. It would help the user base if everybody had really good examples of deployments that worked, but when you ask people to put out their good deployments, which also includes me, you usually got, "No, I'm not going to do that." They don't have enough good examples. Microsoft probably just needs to pay one of their partners to build 20 or 30 examples of functional Data Factories and then share them as a user base."
"I am not very happy with Oracle Support. Over the past four to five years, I have experienced many problems when opening support requests."
"More technical documentation is needed, especially in terms of mapping and conversion of data, while integration would also be very helpful."
"The initial setup was a little complex, and we required support from Oracle to complete it."
"Oracle is always adding new features. I can't think of anything that's urgent currently."
"The initial setup was a little complex, and we required support from Oracle to complete it."
"More technical documentation is needed, especially in terms of mapping and conversion of data, while integration would also be very helpful."
"With Oracle GoldenGate Cloud Service, we have usual cloud solution issues such as privacy and data security."
"Support could be improved. They lack knowledge."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing is a bit on the higher end."
"The price is fair."
"The pricing is pay-as-you-go or reserve instance. Of the two options, reserve instance is much cheaper."
"The solution's pricing is competitive."
"It seems very low initially, but as the data grows, the solution’s bills grow exponentially."
"Our licensing fees are approximately 15,000 ($150 USD) per month."
"The pricing model is based on usage and is not cheap."
"My company is on a monthly subscription for Azure Data Factory, but it's more of a pay-as-you-go model where your monthly invoice depends on how many resources you use. On a scale of one to five, pricing for Azure Data Factory is a four. It's just the usage fees my company pays monthly."
"I rate the product price a six on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive."
