Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Have faced limitations due to integration complexity but have processed documents efficiently and reduced manual effort
Bedrock is basically a framework that can manage multiple large language models. Another useful tool is Amazon Textract which extracts text from documents. It helps with compliance because Amazon Textract itself doesn't store anything. When hundreds of documents are uploaded in an S3 bucket, the S3 bucket will store the documents, but Amazon Textract itself doesn't store anything. It pulls the contents of the documents and then passes them on to the next system, making it compliant. It helps in a great way by reducing the load on LLM and reducing the cost.

With an easy initial setup phase in place, the tool needs to provide functionalities like web scraping to users
It is a very scalable solution. In ElectroNeek, you can build your project in modular programming or with the use of sub-programs. You can have a lot of sub-programs that make up a whole project. If you don't wanna use the drag-and-drop activities, you can use JavaScript or Python instead. So it's very useful when you are working with things such as SPS. Actually, you can write scripts to support all the product functionalities with Python and manage the product's functions. You will find a company named Apollo Studios on the website of ElectroNeek. I think they are one of the best companies in South Africa that entered into a partnership with ElectroNeek.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"We have been able to take an accounting task and clear a very large backlog, therefore being completely up-to-date on the task since implementing a bot on it."
"In the past ten months, I have saved the work of two people and people are happy with the results."
"The most valuable feature of this solution is the automation of manual tasks, which save us time."
"RPA platform with a good accuracy rate, variable management, and OCR feature. It has a straightforward setup."
"Compared to other RPA tools, I prefer Automation Anywhere."
"If we want to read a scanned PDF, we use IQ Bot. Using the cognitive detail of IQ Bot and some machine learning abilities, we can train the IQ Bot to process all scanned PDF documents and give the results in an Excel file. This is a very good feature introduced by Automation Anywhere. IQ Bot is doing well."
"IQ Bot is very helpful as it is easy to learn and implement and the data output accuracy is almost 90%. Over time, the BOT learns from the validation which is an added advantage. Whatever I was thinking for version 11.3, it's being implemented in A2019. The incorporation of Python scripts is also implemented which will be easier for validations."
"It has helped us a lot with our digitized work, and we have automated a lot of the bank's processes."
"With the help of Amazon Textract, we are reducing labor and manpower because with just one API call, we can get all the extracted information with its coordinates."
"Amazon Textract is superior because it has features that allow you to use analytics or intelligent automation with the OCR; it will automatically identify key and value pairs, so you can use the data easily."
"The support is actually very good; I've worked with Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, but compared to the others, AWS support is excellent."
"In a project, I integrated Amazon Textract with Bedrock and passed the extracted document text to the LLM using Bedrock."
"Amazon Textract was easy to use."
"It's a very stable product."
"The product's initial setup phase was easy."
"We have found that it brings more efficiency and effectiveness to routine tasks."
"The drag and drop feature, which is no code, is very useful for me because I am not a technical person. It is very user-friendly."
"We find the OCR feature very valuable, due to the corrector recognition that it provides; this is very useful for document processing."
"The cost is the best thing about ElectroNeek."
"The product's setup is straightforward."
"The most valuable feature is the price."

Cons

"It is not able to use OCR effectively and has limited usability."
"When I post questions, I seldom get answers fast, and when I do, there are inconsistencies with the existing documentation."
"The scalability of Automation Anywhere's cloud version is excellent, but the on-premise version is a waste of time and money."
"One thing about it that we have not found to be exceptionally useful are the built-in bot analytics, the Bot Insights. From our own extensive experimentation, as well as from what we've understood from other people using this solution, we've been able to come up with better solutions using our own in-house analytics and our own systems than through theirs."
"For someone who does not have technical skills, using Automation Anywhere is quite challenging because it is primarily meant for the technical aspect, though it can help with basic data entry tasks, such as invoice processing and other repetitive back office operations."
"The areas that need improvement are the license management, user access permission, user role access management, and technical support."
"We have had issues with stability in the past, and there should be a function that helps you to find out what is wrong with your environment that is causing the automation to fail."
"In terms of improvements for Automation Anywhere, I would prefer to see more options in packages and pricing, including a breakdown of different features and products, which would allow us to select certain products while potentially skipping others as needed."
"Some easy integration with other systems could be improved."
"The product has not given correct results for me. It was not accurate, especially with handwritten items and documents with pencil marks, which Amazon Textract failed to identify correctly."
"Sometimes the tabular data does not process properly for complex tabular structures or complex tables."
"They should provide an offline solution because in many areas in India and outside, there are clients facing Internet issues."
"I think that this solution could improve remote desktop interactions."
"It's not applicable to very large enterprises and for difficult work or more complex processes."
"When I wanted to use web scraping for tables in web applications, I found through online forums that such functionality or activity is currently not working as it shows."
"The pricing is an area with a shortcoming, and from an improvement perspective, it needs to be made cheaper."
"The solution needs to improve its stability."
"The solution works well with Google Chrome, but not with Microsoft Edge, which is the browser we use for automation."
"Its price could definitely be lower."
"The integrating capability of the product needs to be improved, to ensure that it works with all systems involved in a process."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The enterprise version is expensive for small businesses and individual users."
"Automation Anywhere has an advantage in terms of licensing. It is more cost-efficient compared to all other RPA platforms. It is a recommended solution when clients need a cost-efficient automation tool to perform unattended automation."
"The solution is costly and the licensing is very confusing."
"Its price is competitive with all other products in the market."
"The cloud-based version comes at an increased cost, although our clients are happy with the new features and have not complained about the pricing."
"The solution itself is free unless we want to add the support option but we have to pay for the bots we use."
"Our costs are approximately between $5,000 to $10,000 per license."
"I am using that Automation Anywhere Master Certification for version 11. Recently, this has been updated in Automation Anywhere University. Until this month, it's free to use. There are no charges. That's why I would like to complete it this month."
