Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Lead IT Manager at a tech services company with 10,001+ employees
We use it for handling requests. It has reduced the IT staff required.
Handling requests - Technical service requests: hardware, software not working - Account requests: new/modify account requests to various systems - Software requests: of all types from our staff - IT related assets: hardware controlled by IT - All types of technical abuse complaints: ie copyright - Surveys about the follow-through of the staff to requests entered in the system

Clean chat interface has supported basic AI handoffs but now needs omnichannel and a free plan
LiveChat did not support omnichannel messaging or multi-channel inbox, and it was not offering any free plan. These limitations made me switch to another solution. I believe LiveChat should support at least a basic free plan so that potential customers can try out their features before paying for the full suite.

Pros

"We have automated the daily reports and it will trigger automatically once jobs are completed from the backend database which has saved a lot of extra work for our team, saving workforce and time."
"One of the strengths of Automation Anywhere is its user-friendly interface, which makes it accessible even to those without a development background."
"Automation Anywhere has positively impacted my organization by cutting our end-to-end processing cycle by over 60% and virtually eliminating manual reconciliation errors across high-volume workflows."
"In terms of development for our developers, it is very easy and quick to learn because Automation Anywhere has provided an online academy where developers can easily learn the features. It is very easy. If someone does not have a coding background, they can also learn from it very easily because it is just drag and drop and very interactive."
"Our onboarding process was pretty good. We got access to all software that we needed to learn and utilize. The Automation Anywhere University is really good. In our business, the person who was onboarding us helped us to understand how to create a center of excellence and what verticals we needed to improve. So, the support was there. We are gradually becoming a center of excellence ourselves."
"It is easy to use and very scalable."
"This is a perfect solution for us and Automation Anywhere helps us to close many deals."
"We spend less time preparing data."
"We were able to reduce the IT staff from 4 to 1.5 FTE, to handle the 2500/monthly requests."
"The best feature of LiveChat in my evaluation is the AI chatbot module that I prefer most."
"Through the capabilities of LiveChat we are able to fully customise each live chat implementation to suit the goals of our clients."
"Customer Service: Top notch! The support team is available all the time and have been able to solve all our questions instantly."
"I majorly love the ticket and knowledge base features, which allow us to save automated answers to the most popular customer queries."
"In my experience, the best features LiveChat offers include a clean interface, robust analytics, and the ability to provide human-to-human website chat."
"We can attribute most of our high ticket sales to this software."
"Since we started to use LC we managed to increase our customer satisfaction level, increase sales and most important thing to speed up our interaction with our customers because it's all in real time."
"It truly does what I need it to do and anything else I would say, I would be making it up."

Cons

"For the short term, in this pandemic era, they should have a feature to write and save directly into Word documents, Office 365, or Google Docs."
"The Insight feature could be improved. I don't think there's a lot of information about how to use Insight, so you have to try different scenarios to understand that feature better."
"We have been a little frustrated by the frequency of cache releases."
"Reporting could be better because there is a little bit of overkill in getting information about the utilization of the bot license. This could be a little bit improved."
"As we expand our components of the Automation Anywhere platform that we utilize, we need better connections between them."
"Pricing is too high for small-scale groups. The Control Room yearly fee is high, making it difficult to break even."
"Using Automation Anywhere is neither easy nor hard, but against IBM Robotic Process Automation, IBM Robotic Process Automation wins."
"One aspect I wish to mention regarding needed improvements is that Automation Anywhere currently works only on Windows systems."
"The GUI looks a little dated."
"The biggest friction point I have experienced with LiveChat so far is the lack of a free plan."
"I'd like to be able to create teams and filter the reports by team, in addition to the ability to currently filter by group, date, agent, tag etc."
"There have been times where Live Chat's servers have had DDOS attacks and have made communication difficult."
"The service needs to be more popular than it currently is."
"LiveChat did not support omnichannel messaging or multi-channel inbox, and it was not offering any free plan."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Automation Anywhere University is pretty good. They make it available free for everyone."
"Approximately, for a developer, it is around $750 for a license a year. For Bot Runners, it is about $550."
"Cost-wise, it is fine. A lot of medium businesses prefer Automation Anywhere. The development cost is also lower."
"In terms of pricing, it's not at all cheap, and that's a concern. The licensing cost is very high. While I don't know the exact prices of other tools, Microsoft offers the lowest pricing for its RPA platform compared to UiPath and Automation Anywhere."
"There are some additional costs beyond the standard licensing fees. There are a couple of add-ons we've looked at: The IQ Bot for OCR and machine-learning were add-ons, as well as the Bot Insights - the analytics."
"One of the key features that we chose, the bot as a service or the BotFarm, when they launched version 11.3, they decided not to have the BotFarm anymore. This put us in a situation because we expected to have bots on demand, just like our cloud software. This would have been cost efficient for us to use. We hope to see this again being realized with A2019. I hope the scalability from an on demand basis improves."
"Automation Anywhere is competitive... Pega is somewhat comparable, but Pega also requires a lot more infrastructure and a lot more experience to get up and running."
"We save 34,000 hours of time per year and have recouped up to $6000 in lost revenue."
