Unified B2B and B2C setup has streamlined complex catalogs and real-time customer pricing
Adobe Commerce offers many features, such as the customer group, which is the best common feature for B2B. Additionally, we have implemented both B2B and B2C in a single instance, meaning B2B also uses the same code as B2C. That type of flexibility is only available in Adobe Commerce. The customer group feature helps my organization by allowing us to create specific customer groups for catalogs. For example, we have three companies—Company A, Company B, and Company C—and we need to create three customer groups: Company A customer group, Company B customer group, and Company C customer group. We always assign a number of products belonging to that particular customer group, ensuring that if a customer logs in with Company A, we showcase only those products available for that particular customer. If Customer B has a different set of products, we choose the Customer Group B and assign the catalog for that specific customer. This is the best feature for company-specific catalog management. Adobe Commerce has positively impacted my organization as I am a developer here and work in a service-based company that handles multiple client requirements. In terms of work and all, Adobe Commerce has created a lot of opportunities for the organization, improving revenue and performance substantially. Regarding how Adobe Commerce has improved revenue or performance, I believe that having multiple projects in Adobe Commerce translates into substantial revenue. I do not have specific metrics, as I am a developer and do not handle that type of data.

A fully integrated powerful tool for managing businesses and providing seamless integration with internal systems
I would rate the initial setup of Oracle iStore as easy. The deployment process typically takes about three months, with five phases covering various aspects like Oracle requirements, solution deployment, cloud integration, and pricing. We have about twenty people dedicated to maintaining Oracle iStore, with roles including network engineers, cloud network specialists, systems administrators, and business management.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Magento is very flexible, and it's one of the biggest e-commerce platforms."
"Magento is very user friendly due to its various functionalities like one page checkout, comparison between products and also gives liberty to users to share the reviews on purchased products."
"We have the ability to resolve service issues since Magento enables us to invest more time in dealing with custom requirements."
"Magento has changed over the years, but one of the most interesting aspects is that it gets the job done, and a vast community of experts is knowledgeable about the solution."
"The most valuable feature of the solution is its ease of integration with any upfront platform or CMS solution."
"The most valuable feature in this solution I have found to be that I have the ability to find all the analytics that I need, and it has very good integrations with social media platforms and other tools."
"Magento is generally considered to be the most advanced e-commerce program available in the market."
"Not only can they build a system at a cheap price, but they can get it live very quickly."
"I appreciate Oracle iStore for its simple implementation and user-friendly interface. It has positively impacted our business processes by integrating seamlessly with internal systems like finance and logistics, enhancing efficiency across different areas of our operations."

Cons

"At the moment, Magento is stuck in the middle of a nobody-wants-me market."
"Magento 2 is only three to four years old, so it is an evolving technology."
"Magento 2 is only three to four years old, so it is an evolving technology. In certain areas on the front there were some glitches. For example, you can't do certain kinds of filters on data and you have certain speed issues on category pages due to the way it was written within Magento. Those were a few minor tweaks where we, as a community, found that to be a necessary scope of improvement. But I think they are working on it and hopefully they can solve these issues earlier than later."
"The hardware requirements of the tool should be made better, as it is a solution that is very heavy on the servers, and it makes it expensive to host many servers."
"The limited availability of experienced developers can make the product costly to maintain."
"Elasticsearch has really been a pain; it takes a toll on the performance, and starting with version 2.4, Magento requires Elasticsearch, which has been causing a lot of serious performance issues."
"It would be great to have a way to communicate properly with the team that builds the platform because you can get stuck at certain points, and it's hard to search for solutions on forums and tutorials."
"The analytics are good but there is room for improvement. There are some limitations due to new regulations causing customer data time delays."
"I find Oracle iStore to be beneficial overall, but there are areas for improvement. Specifically, I'd like to see better SQL implementation and support for training and integration issues with other solutions that are not compliant."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The price of the solution increased after Adobe acquired Magento. At this point, we know the price of Magento and SAP, and while they may have lower entry tickets, they are ultimately comparable."
"The cost of implementation is cheap compared to other solutions."
"Many implementations were open-source. We also had a couple of enterprise-level implementations, but I didn't have visibility on the licensing cost."
"The product offers an open-source version, which is free. There are licensing options for Adobe Commerce's cloud version."
"This solution is cheaper than some of its competitors. However, the price depends on which country you are in. In some countries, such as Greece or some Southeastern European countries, the price for the client can be expensive."
"We transitioned from the platform's commercial license to the open-source version, which helped optimize costs without affecting our sales."
