We performed a comparison between ABBYY Vantage and IBM Robotic Process Automation (RPA) based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."Its ease of use is valuable. It is easy to use and configure."
"It's easy to use."
"The solution has its own language that can be configured many ways and with higher accuracy than other products."
"ABBYY Vantage has been designed as a user-friendly solution, making the setup process require only a couple of days."
"The most valuable feature of ABBYY Vantage is flexibility. You are able to edit at a granular level providing good control over the process. Additionally, the brochures and guides were helpful in learning the solution."
"The advantage for ABBYY Vantage is in the visual tools to parameterize and set documents."
"The solution responds well to automatic document classifications with a 90% success rate."
"The advantage of this tool is that it is a proven product. A lot of other products are quite new in the market."
"It is a good tool for automation."
"It's user-friendly; even non-technical people can program bots using drag-and-drop functionalities."
"The good stuff about IBM is the fact that it's very easy to use, there are very nice and smart AI tools within the licensing that you don't have to pay any access. Moreover, it's more precise and more secure."
"IBM Robotic Process Automation is very easy to use."
"It is easy to use. We have enabled our resources who don't have a background in automation to be certified and trained, then implement this product within a very short period of time, as it is very user-friendly."
"IBM RPA helped us resolve a lot of difficult cases we could not resolve using other solutions."
"It's integrated with all the other products within the Salesforce ecosystem."
"The solution’s performance is good."
"Since we are using a trial version, we don't have administration access to create a tenant to integrate my OCR series with Postman."
"ABBYY FlexiCapture could improve the performance. We are looking for better performance because it can be a lengthy capture process and the accuracy needs to be enhanced when it comes to Arabic."
"The accuracy changes depending on the scenario so you need to test it before committing to this solution."
"They say that they have invoice training or document training where if you put in a certain number of documents of the same type and you fix it once, twice, or a few times, it'll automatically be able to read the same document perfectly without you having to create a layout for it to follow. That has never worked properly for any project, so I just stopped recommending it completely. We spent time trying to test and getting a bunch of invoices to test it with, and in the end, it just didn't do what it needed to. If they fix that or if they can improve on that, that would be great. It will save a lot of time for a lot of people, and it will allow people with less experience with ABBYY to be able to use it."
"They can have more advanced workflows. They can have some custom status in their workflow. It was there, but they can introduce more cases such as triggering an email or interacting with other systems with APIs. They can be included as stages in their workflow rather than doing it all by scripting."
"The solution needs more web or cloud-based development."
"Their tutorials are not enough. They can improve the tutorials and maybe add more examples in their tutorials. Currently, if you want to learn ABBYY technology, it is very difficult. There are just a few resources, such as YouTube channels and blogs. There are not many resources for learning ABBYY."
"One major area that requires improvement in ABBYY Vantage is its current JSON output format."
"I would like to have more flexibility in connecting the platform with third-party systems."
"The time it takes for approvals, and risk analysis could be faster."
"There are certain limitations in the solution for screen reading."
"We're based in Thailand, but the documentation is not in Thai, which makes it difficult for us. If they could translate all of their documentation into our language, we'd be very grateful."
"I would like it to do pretty much everything out-of-the-box without any need for any customization. However, that is not the case right now. We absolutely have to do some amount of customization with the solution in order to use it out-of-the-box as-is."
"Stability could be better."
"Capturing GUI operations is very easy, but capturing IBM Logistics automation is hard. It does not always work with browsers or automotive applications like SAP."
"One of the things I would definitely like to see is more of the machine-learning and cognitive capabilities. For example, now that we're starting to automate more and more tasks, there are some things that still require us to go back and modify the robots when we need to. But if we had more of the machine-learning integrated into it, I believe it would be easier to maintain, so that we wouldn't have to go back and adjust every time."
