We are a reseller, and while we sell it to customers, only about a hundred of them use it. There are a hundred businesses, not endpoints.
They do a better job of distinguishing between what's real and what's not than most of the other solutions we've tried. They are very easy to use.
We don't have as many problems with email security. They have some areas that could be improved. For example, we also use Zix email Encryption for email encryption, which was clunky and could be improved, but the email security itself has been excellent.
Email security checks contain a small number of false positives.
I have dealt with the Zix AppRiver solution for five or six years.
We are always working with the most recent version because everything is hosted online.
Technical support is no longer as good as it once was.
When they were just AppRiver, they were fantastic. They're not as good now that Zix owns them, but they're still good. They're simply not as good as they once were, but that's to be expected when you acquire a larger corporation.
We have customers that use Proofpoint, but we don't use Proofpoint at this time.
This solution is maintained and deployed for our customers.
It requires very little maintenance, which is why it is so appealing, and it creates very few false positives.
Because everything is hosted, the initial setup is simple. The most crucial step is to update the MX records.
I think they're a very good value. They're fairly inexpensive, but they're right in the ballpark of most of the other online products like that. Pricing is competitive
It works very well. we were MX Logic, which then got bought by McAfee. We were Postini users who were acquired by Google; from there, we moved to AppRiver and have been there ever since. It's just been solid.
As the Zix Email Encryption is clunky, I would rate it a seven out of ten.
The email security is very good, I would rate AppRiver Email Security a nine out of ten.
