We researched Netskope but ultimately chose Zscaler.

Netskope is a cloud access security broker that helps identify and manage cloud applications, protecting your sensitive data from exfiltration. It provides visibility of how all SaaS applications are used in your environment. It makes setting up policies easy, and it has special policies to protect integrated apps.

It is difficult to scale up. The infrastructure tends to stall when trying to keep pace with high loads. Although it provides basic protection features like the interpretation of firewall logs, it shows the user access to apps. It shows issues comparing the reports with the firewall logs. Overall, it presents a simple approach to web traffic control.

Zscaler, on the other hand, is a complete security stack as a service for the cloud. It is designed to reduce the complexity of traditional secure web gateway approaches. It provides scaled protection to users and entities.

We use Zscaler and can say we like it very much. It provides secure internet with full encryption. It is easy to use, and you can easily monitor how your users and entities use SaaS applications. It also controls your bandwidth with a load balancer. So if you are looking for smooth internet access and secure connections across devices, it may be just the solution for you.

The integration with MS365 is not the easiest, and it slows email uploading and downloading. However, we heard of other users that integrated Zscaler with Azure and were satisfied.

We encountered a few issues, but the vendor solved them. There were some false positives and the setup could be easier. If you have a lot of users on mobile, it may not be the best option.

Conclusions

Zscaler is a superior solution for businesses of all sizes. Although the setup requires some expertise, it still provides a complete solution that offers good value for money.

Prisma SaaS by Palo Alto Networks is stable, easy to integrate, easy to use, and very scalable.  It has a very user-friendly interface, has a straightforward setup, and the remediation process is easy compared to other platforms. Moreover, it has good performance and technical support. In addition, Prisma has the ability to quarantine and clean a malware file very well, which is a great feature that provides a lot of security. Whatsmore is that the solution works with Oracle Cloud while other SaaS solutions aren’t always compatible. Compared to other solutions, Prisma SaaS is flexible. While Prisma SaaS has many good things going for it, its one major disappointment is that it does not support the reverse proxy type of integrations, which can be a deal-breaker for some people. Prisma SaaS also lacks a hybrid model. Zscaler internet access has good VPN technology and the internet security it provides is by far its most valuable feature. Some of its other valuable features are that it is a lightweight solution, it is very easy to set up, configure, and maintain, and the protection is in the cloud. What I find to be most useful is that it delivers safe web access for employees that work remotely, and it also increases cybersecurity, making it efficient by saving a lot of time. The only thing that I don’t like about Zscaler is that there are a few new features that are not compatible with Azure Cloud. I wish they also had more video documentation and training materials available, but I think they plan to expand on that front soon. Conclusion: After evaluating both Prisma SaaS by Palo Alto Networks as well as Zscaler internet access, I ultimately decided to go with Zscaler because Prisma SaaS wasn’t as feature-rich as I expected it to be, and Prisma SaaS was also the more pricey option.

Cisco Umbrella and Zscaler Internet Access are two broad-spectrum Internet security solutions that I have tried. Zscaler Internet Access is a good option for carrying out multiple security functions in a single solution. It includes web filters, firewalls, and sand boxing. The platform is simple to implement and update. Since it is cloud-based, it saved me from having to handle complex local security configurations. The single-sign-on feature saved me from having to log in every time. The web filtering and scanning are fast and don’t generate any latency. The bandwidth control is very useful for controlling endpoints and gives consistent service. Although Zscaler Internet Access is easy to set up, it is far from user-friendly. The user interface for the management dashboard is difficult to navigate. Blocking websites is frustrating, and it only works well if you whitelist webs. The reporting feature is not customizable. One advantage to Zscaler is that you can deploy it to your company’s mobile phones so you can keep all endpoints secure. Cisco Umbrella is easy to implement, and it comes with built-in configurations so you don’t need to configure them yourself. It gives you statistics so you can adjust policies according to threat patterns. It is stable and very simple. Once you install it, you can get it running in a few minutes. It is very well suited for distributed networks with many on-premises endpoints. Additionally, DNS security is top notch. On the downside, the statistics on Cisco Umbrella are quite difficult to parse. We found it was difficult to integrate the solution with MS Active Directory. Conclusions Cisco Umbrella is powerful and helps to secure a network, especially with distributed users. Both solutions are strong, but I think Cisco Umbrella might be more useful for large enterprises.

I would widen my options to include Netskope.  Tech support is far better should or if you require it, deployment is much faster, and integrations with API's is better than either of the other two.
