Without being a "downer", what we are going to see is more of what we have seen for 25 years.
Our colleagues at BI vendors are pushing "features and functions" with precious little focus on business benefit of the users of these tools.
We are going to market with Excel as our humble BI tool on the front end because most of what companies want do to can be delivered via Excel. And everyone already has Excel.
And then we will do PowerBI. But we will focus a lot on actually improving the profit of our customers and, sadly, that will make us "unusual" in the marketplace.

The only Bi platforms that will survive are the ones that effectively leverage valuable advanced analytics, proactive alerts and governed self-service. Otherwise, they will be crushed by Microsoft's Power BI.

I can say Power BI & Tableau.
But currently, most of the industry is moving to predictive analytics & Auto ML concepts.
