For us, the main two features that we appreciate in this application are backup and restore. They are the main purposes for which we are using this application.
Veritas Backup Exec offers robust backup capabilities, supporting ERP systems and Microsoft programs, praised for stability and ease of use. While set up is simple, the platform struggles with disaster recovery, SaaS integration, complex licensing, high costs, and scalability for large environments. Performance issues, including job timeouts and lacking features for AIX, virtual machines, and enterprise environments, are noted. Despite valuable technical support, improvements are needed to enhance competitiveness among backup solutions.
