Veeam Data Platform is considered costly by some users, with a need for better physical server backup and stronger cybersecurity measures, alongside a simplified user interface.

The escalation from first, second to third tier is sometimes very long-lasting, but the resolve rate is quite high.
Most cases are handled perfectly.
I would rate their technical support a 10 out of 10.
They don't ask us to wait for a callback or create a ticket.
I see good technical engineer support resolving issues.
Integration with other vendors is also seamless.
In order to scale Veeam Data Platform, we have to pay a lot more money.
It is easy to scale Veritas Backup Exec.
Now in the current version, I can run more than one process for backup in one job for more virtual machines.
There are no issues with stability in Veeam Data Platform.
The improvement we would like to see is the option to scale Veeam Data up in smaller sections rather than large sections, which requires paying much more.
Additional features expected in the next release to make it even better, most parts are on the way, and the AI integration should be improved.
OpenStack is something Veeam Data Platform doesn't support, and they haven't indicated that they will support it in the future.
Some technology improvement is needed to manage my basic business continuity plan.
We need to have a proper image backup with a documented restore procedure, as some users were unable to do the image backup restoration due to driver issues or similar challenges.
