I worked with SAP BW4HANA, creating Web Intelligence reports using BEx queries. I am a BW consultant with 14 years of experience in BW and currently working on SAP BW4HANA.

I have worked on versions from BW 3.0 to 3.5 and 7.0, 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, 7.4, and 7.5. I have experience with BW on HANA as well as before HANA. I have completed implementation projects and support projects. I have worked with unique clients in production and manufacturing, including companies such as Coolback, Kohler, Huntswood, and A&K Plastics.

These were manufacturing companies I worked for as clients.

In SAP BW4HANA, I have worked in modeling, extraction, and reporting. I have experience with different tools including Power BI, BEx tools, Web Intelligence reports, and SSC.

The best features include the ability to create data sources directly on tables, and perform mapping without creating info objects. It directly maps to target fields and source fields. There is no info cube concept, only ODS concept. We can create BEx queries in HANA itself, not as a separate tool. The modeling and reporting processes are easier to accomplish.

I work with BI solutions along with SAP BW/4HANA, which we have on-premises, and that is my main area of work. I work with SAP BW/4HANA.

I work in finance. My company does a lot of financial reporting on SAP BW/4HANA. We load up all the finance data from SAP ECC and do analytics on SAP BW/4HANA. We also have some custom developments on SAP BW/4HANA to do further processing and generate consolidated data. We then make data available to other tools, whether it is Power BI or Qlik.

The solution's most valuable feature is that it is a very powerful tool. It can contain a lot of our data, making it a great platform for development. The solution also has the best stability, robustness, and customizability features.

I use SAP BW4HANA as an enterprise data warehouse to integrate data from various systems, including SAP ECC, S/4HANA, BW on HANA, HR systems, and flat files.

In SAP BW4HANA, I like how it blends no-code and ABAP code for complex transformations during data loading. It is intuitive for joining tables and using info objects without creating new ones. Plus, it supports real-time reporting from SAP and offers extensive resources and support. Users can combine planning and actual data, perform currency conversion, and empower power users to create their own reports. With SAP Analytics Cloud, it is a complete solution for advanced analytics and planning.

It's primarily used as an enterprise data warehouse solution.

I like the modeling and reporting capabilities.

Real-time processing isn't BW/4HANA's strongest point. We typically run batch jobs for this purpose. So, it's not good for real-time reporting. 

BW/4HANA's modeling is quite intuitive because even those without technical database knowledge can model data from a business perspective. The tool can still be done without knowing the database functionalities of the data warehouse. 

Even if someone doesn't understand the database functionalities, you can still model. It provides the functions in a way that even a less technical person can do the modeling. The tool facilitates modeling for non-technical users, ensuring good modeling results.

SAP BW4HANA is used as a data analytics platform. In our company, we use SAP BW4HANA to visualize the data from the ERP system and transactional data. I have been using SAP BW4HANA for my database relationship and data visualization. For visualization, I have used several applications like Tableau and Power BI. With SAP BW4HANA, our company could keep the data, and the data fields can be visualized with applications like Power BI and Tableau.

My company mainly uses SAP BW4HANA to take data from the transactional system, which is our ERP tool named SAP HANA and we created all the data sources as we wanted to visualize the data in Power BI and Tableau.

I am working with multiple SAP clients. I am more of a tool consultant. We now have our own solutions for the supply chain, but they are more focused on complementing SAP solutions.

The problem is the expensive pricing of technical support, making it an area where improvements are required.

I'm part of our company's IT department. We implemented the SAP BW/4HANA solution, and we recommend it to our customers.

SAP BW/4HANA is an analytics solution. You can use it for reporting. It's an advanced data warehousing solution, so it supports real-time analytics, data warehousing, and consolidation. Advanced analytics and data exploration are other use cases.

One significant advantage of SAP BW/4HANA is the direct integration with the SAP HANA database, providing seamless access to real-time analytics. 

Additionally, it enables real-time data integration. We don't need to rely on historical data alone; we can provide reporting and features based on real-time information. 

Also, it integrates well with SAP S/4HANA. The data governance and security features that come with SAP HANA are another significant benefit.

It enables real-time data analytics. Before SAP BW/4HANA or traditional BW systems, data loads would happen nightly. With SAP BW/4HANA, you can directly access the HANA database, providing real-time data and analytics. So, the integration with SAP HANA impacted data processing speeds.

Moreover, the modernized data modeling capabilities helped with analytics. From a data modeling perspective, you have better options to present data to customers or C-level managers. This helps them make better decisions.

The transition from a traditional data warehouse to SAP BW/4HANA improves data governance practices. The transition to real-time, in-memory analytics helps shift how business is conducted. In traditional BW, you had fewer options for data stores. BW/4HANA lets you connect with various source models, both SAP and non-SAP, giving greater visibility.

In terms of use cases, when you look at SAP BW4HANA, you are looking at creating data warehousing for the organization. You use it to create analytical solutions for the customers.

SAP BW4HANA is outdated because of which people have started to move to SAP Analytics Cloud. SAP BW4HANA valuable feature revolves around the fact that it was easy to customize the tool.
